“I don’t want to be too intrusive in asking, but are you moving in? Redecorating?” he questioned as he took in all the stuff that she had. After he had held the door, he jogged in to grab the box, making his way back out with it. “Definitely happy to help. Just point me in the direction of where you want it and I’ll happily carry it.” 

(¸.• ♛ → “i appreciate it. it’s just in the middle of the living room please.” the blonde says with a small smile now looking at him. “and yes, i’m redecorating actually, i thought could be a good idea and i kind of needed to do that.”

Seeing the blonde woman struggle, Braeden was about to offer to help her with the table. But it seemed like the other woman wasn’t struggling with the table at all…But more like the door. “Yeah, sure,” Braeden said after a moment before pushing the door open and holding it so the other wouldn’t have to worry about it swinging back on her. “Redecorating or something?” Braeden asked curiously with a raised eyebrow.

(¸.• ♛ → “thanks.” she says with a small smile now and entering into that place to just leave the boxes there. a sigh escaped from her lips, this was a hard work but she was always willing to do it. “pretty much, yes, i thought that i needed to do something like that.”

“i think at this point, i’m beyond being overwhelmed by anything.”  he told her, a slow smile growing on his lips.  “i mean, i have dealt with a lot of surprises from unknown people since i’ve gotten to this island, and at least you’re someone that i trust.”  never before could he have pictured himself winding up with caroline forbes, but with her sitting here in front of him, things were starting to come to light.  caroline had changed a lot in the years that he’d known her, and obviously being a mother had changed her even further.  

“i want to know everything though.”  he spoke softly, “even the bad stuff.  i can’t know or even begin to remember what it was that we had, if i don’t know the good and the bad.”  he knew that she wouldn’t lie to him, and that’s why he would trust her with telling him everything.  “that’s exactly why i need to know everything, because then maybe i won’t make the same mistakes again.”

(¸.• ♛ → the blonde nodded at what he said, that’s true, he heard a lot of things about his life that maybe yes, at this point nothing would like truly surprise him but still, she wanted to just touch all this subject with tact, being just subtle about this. 

“okay, i will tell you everything, let’s go with parts.” because right now that was more important, a lot happened since damon and bonnie were on the other side. “just how we started. i told you my feelings for you but you kind of rejected me...however, things turned so bad...my mom died, and i was so sad that i turned my humanity off.” that was the quickest way to just tell him everything without too much detail. “you told me that you realized that you had feelings for me in attempt to bring me back but it didn’t work...i did horrible things and one of those things was that i made you do the same, turning your humanity off i mean...” 

basically that was a very short version. “but everything turned out good, you were able to be back first, then you brought me back as well but things got awkward because when we were off...a lot of things happened between us.” not really with emotions but they did sleep together then. “and things were just weird, especially because you told me again your feelings about me and i was in a very off place but...then we decided to give each other a chance and basically that happened and you know how we ended up and what happened on the day of our wedding.”

Kol jogged up ahead when the woman asked if he could grab the door for her. “I would be remiss if I didn’t hold the door open for a woman in need.” He pushed the door open, holding it so that she could get through. “Do you need any help?” he offered. “I see your hands are more than full, so I wouldn’t mind.”

recognising the voice and the woman it belonged to immediately, lizzie’s face broke out wide into a smile of relief. she may have been an adult woman now, but that didn’t mean that she didn’t still need her mom, especially at times like this. “mom!” she exclaimed, before registering the question and quickly opening the door for her. “it’s so good to see you! when did you get here?”

(¸.• ♛ → that voice, of course that she was going to recognize her everywhere. a small smile was on her lips, now when she was able to enter in that place she was able to put her boxes down and turn around to see her beautiful daughter. “sweetheart, i’m so glad to see you as well.” this time she couldn’t help but give her a hug. “a couple of months ago, and you? how long have you been here?”

(¸.• ♛ → sigh escaped from her lips, now she was carrying the table that she was abñe to buy to her house but the door was closed so without even looking at the person that was just near her, she just asked. “hi, excuse me, could you please push the door open?” she has just two hands and she was grabbing that table, she bought a lot of stuff so she was going to decorate.

Some called it a nervous tick, one that she’d held since she had been young, always needing to be doing something with her hands even if it was for the short amount of time between ordering her burger and it actually arriving. Feeling someone’s eyes on her the blonde looked up from her absent playing and simply asked, “what?”

stefan listened as she spoke, waiting for her to be completely finished answering all of his questions, before he opened his mouth again.  “this is all so bizarre to me,”  he told her finally, after he’d allowed himself a few moments to just contemplate everything that she’d said.  part of him was glad that valerie hadn’t perished all those years ago, and that he could confidently tell his daughter that her mother was still alive.  “i wonder if there’s a way that i can remember all of what you’re talking about.”  he pressed a finger to his lips.  some part of him had lived this whole life, had been all of these things to all of these people, so somewhere in his mind, those memories had to be able to be reached.

“would you be willing to try helping me remember?”  he wasn’t sure what they could do, but he had to at least try, right?  “i think i want to try.  and i’m willing to do whatever it takes to figure it all out.”

(¸.• ♛ → “i can only imagine.” the blonde commented, not really wanting to bother much stefan with all this information, she can understand this can be too much to process for him. she wonders the same thing because she would love to have the stefan she married here with her, she missed him a lot and she was so happy that he was alive here.

this time the blonde just squeezed gently his hand and nodded. “of course, anything you need.” because she really would like to just share everything they have lived together, even the bad things but he had the right to remember. “i didn’t offer before because i really didn’t want to overwhelm you.” the girl began saying. “there are amazing things, stefan, but you also need to know that not everything was amazing, for example...we didn’t really start our relationship like...in a good way.”

“you…you met valerie?”  brows furrowed even more tightly together,  “so she didn’t die?  how did you meet her?”  he had so many questions.  he stopped speaking though when she said her own daughters were from the gemini coven.  “with ric?”  that was a new thing.  “so wait….why did they put the babies in you?  did something happen to the other mom?”  he wasn’t stupid, but it was something that he wasn’t exactly familiar with.

she was right, it had been a lot to take in when he’d first found out about luna, that he had a daughter, that she was here on the island, and especially that she was also valerie’s daughter.  “what about you though, are your girls here?  have you talked to them?”  more questions spilled out of his mouth.  “look, care…. i’m sorry that i don’t remember us being together.”  a soft smile, as he leaned in to wrap his arms around her in a quick embrace.  “was our wedding epic?  because i can’t see caroline forbes going for anything less than perfection.”

(¸.• ♛ → “i mean, technically...” she muttered, it was strange to tell him this when he lived it but well, he just didn’t remember. “i met her not in a good time, it’s a long story but let’s see we are in good terms now, she is a heretic that means a vampire and witch at the same time just because she was from the gemini coven.” she was trying to explain the best she can. “yes with ric. he fell in love with a witch from the gemini coven but just in their wedding day something happened and her pyscho brother killed her so that coven that was there just decided to put them here...they needed a vampire so those babies weren’t going to die.” that was just a very short version of the events that happened that night. 

“not really, i haven’t found them but hopefully they are safe, if they are back in mystic falls i know they are, ric is with them.” she was sure of it because alaric was always protective them no matter what. “it’s not your fault, stefan, it’s okay.” it does make her sad but the last thing she wanted was for stefan to apologize for this. now a soft smile was on her lips when he asked that. “yes, was perfect, magical.” that ceremony, everything was perfect until the end, of course, it was the best day but also a horrible one for what happened there.

Black curls, hm.  The Original Hybrid rubs his chin with his thumb, his blue eyes squinting as he tries to recall the familiar face. Where did I see him at?

His mouth opens agape after the familiar, curly-haired guy behind the bar slips.

A smirk twists his lips as he addresses the person sitting on a bar stool beside him.  “Must they hire clumsy fools for their staff?”

(¸.• ♛ → everything was so strange, being here and all. she was settled but still, she should be outside looking for a way to stop the merge. however, when she hears a very familiar voice, the blonde turned around to look at him, he was alive, not surprise there because stefan was alive but still is always shocking to see a person that you knew died. “now, that’s not nice...” she muttered, placing her drink on the bar and her gaze on him. “it’s...nice to see you again, klaus.” after everything that happened, she ended up trusting him and she was glad he was around, that means that there is a chance if hope was here, he could be with her again, that kid deserves another chance to have her family.

“i know i’m behind.  but things have definitely started to work themselves out for me here.”  he told her, leaning over to grasp both of her hands in his own.  “i’ve been working at the auto shop in town, because for some reason, i was just bored with sitting around.”  a slow smile grew on his face as he spoke to her,  “i also heard you have two daughters.”  

it was a sort of awkward segue, but if they were being honest with one another, there was something that he needed to tell her too.  “i have a daughter too.  she’s here on the island.”  the smile was still on his lips, but his brows furrowed together.  “apparently there’s some coven called the gemini, and they can do spells to transfer babies into someone else’s body.”  a pause, to judge how she was handling what he was telling her.  “there was a girl named valerie in my past, while i was still human, and luna is her daughter.  but i guess valerie died, and luna was moved to another woman’s body.”

(¸.• ♛ → she was listening with careful at his words, the girl just squeezed gently his hands with a small smile and nodded. “yeah, i do. lizzie and josie, they are really the best thing that ever happened to me.” she was very happy with her life at this point, her daughters were everything to her and always was going to be that way. “but i’m not surprised, about you working there i mean, you were good at that, you used to work in an auto shop.”

now that she wasn’t expecting, a sigh escaped from her lips. “i met valerie.” it wasn’t a pleasure but at the end she ended up not being that bad so that’s a plus. “and yes, i’m aware of the whole gemini coven, my daughters actually are from there. you see, the gemini coven did that so i carried the babies...they are actually alaric’s daughters but he let me raised them as well, so i guess we are both the parents.” it was complicated but stefan needed to know the truth, of course. “but i didn’t know you guys had a daughter, all of this must be really a lot to take in, uh?”

stefan sat down next to her, going over in his mind what words he could possibly use to explain to her what he had heard here.  “i met a girl here,”  a quick pause, “she said that she was damon and elena’s daughter, her name was stefanie.”  mind you, he hadn’t seen stefanie since months ago, but the words that she’d said to him were still fresh in his mind.  “she told me that we were married, but also that i died on the day of the wedding.”

it probably wasn’t the most tactful way of putting it, but he couldn’t think of any other way to explain.  “i don’t know about any of this, but the last thing i remember is passing through bonnie, right before the other side collapsed, and then i came here.  i just assumed that this was the afterlife for the longest time, until people started showing up and telling me how i hadn’t actually died that day.”

(¸.• ♛ → now she was listening to what he was saying and what she was afraid of, he didn’t remember that part of his life, so all of this could be really shocking. “uhm, yeah, stephanie...i didn’t know she was here too.” it’s been a while since she has seen her but well,she was at least safe so that was always a very good thing of course. 

“then you are really behind.” because in that time is not like she admitted her feelings for stefan or anything like that, they were just best friends. “it’s okay, stefan...” it wasn’t his fault not to remember. “but yeah, what she told you it was true. however, i don’t care about any of that, i just care that you are alive and okay.” that was the most important thing right now, at least for her, that he was just here, safe and sound. “i know you must be confused, i’m not going to force you to remember something that you haven’t lived..” and she wasn’t sure if he wanted to know everything that they went through. “but for me it’s been years since you died. and if you want to ask me something though, you can always do that.”

when she said that she’d been there for a year, stefan shook his head.  “i can’t believe that it’s taken us this long to find each other.”  he’d been there for three years, and he’d scarcely come across anyone that he knew.  “i heard something….”  he stopped talking, going quiet as she embraced him, his arms wrapping around her as well.  “but i think maybe we should get off the sidewalk, and go somewhere more quiet to talk.”

he didn’t want to let go of her, didn’t want to take the chance that she would run in the other direction as soon they parted, but he stepped back just the same.  “i’ve missed you too, care.”  he told her, gesturing toward the picnic area nearby.  “lets go sit down and talk.  i think we should both be sitting for this.”

(¸.• ♛ → “yeah, it’s...shocking.” but at least now they were able to finally see each other and she was just so happy about that, stefan was always going to be so important in her life. the blonde didn’t want to let him go, not again, when he died was so horrible, the most horrible day in her life but he sacrifice himself for the town, for his brother...he was a hero till the end, she didn’t want him to be a hero though, she wanted him to be alive. no, it wasn’t the time to think about this, not when he was finally in front of her, breathing. 

when they pulled away, caroline listened to him carefully, now a bit worried this sounded serious but at the end, she nodded. “okay, just you are worrying me, everything is okay?” she asked, but either way she just followed to just take a seat on that area and listen to whatever that he had to say.

lizzie wrapped her arms around caroline, hugging onto her tightly.  “mom, it’s been forever since i’ve seen you.”  when she let go of the other blonde, and stepped back, she continued to hold onto her arms, almost like she thought caroline would just disappear if she let go.  “josie’s here too, mom.  i know she’d love to see you.”  she smiled brightly, for the first time in forever.  “we’re good, we’re both safe here, and we’re together, so that’s what’s important, right?”

(¸.• ♛ → she was so happy to see one of her daughters here, and then when she pulled away just a bit, still grabbing her though, because honestly this time she didn’t want stay away, now that they were together, she really wanted to stay with her daughters and find a way to get rid of the merge while she was here. “i’m glad to know that she’s here too, i would love to see as well.” because she has missed both of her daughters. “where you guys are staying? you are all settled?”

the familiar voice rang out in his ears, and before stefan had even turned around, he knew it was time to face the things that he’d found out since being on the island.  what if this caroline remembered being married to him, like that girl had claimed.  what was he supposed to do with that information?  “hey care.”  he tried to put on a warm smile for her, but he still wasn’t sure how to feel about her being here.

finally his feet moved forward, closing the small gap between the two of them, hands shoved into his pockets to resist doing anything stupid.  “how are you, care?  have you been here long….”  he trailed off.  what a stupid question.  it didn’t matter how long she’d been there, just that he had his friend back.

(¸.• ♛ → maybe he didn’t remember, she has been hearing people saying that about forgetting stuff so that could be, but...she didn’t care about that. yes, she married stefan and the same day, she was a widow, she was never going to forget the message he left with elena but she moved on, she had to and even if he didn’t know who she is or whatever, she was still happy that he was there, standing in front of her, breathing. 

“good.” was mostly her automatic answer, and it wasn’t a lie, she has been good. “for a year now...it’s been a while.” and now that he was here she just couldn’t help herself, she approached and closing all gap between them, embracing him. “i’ve missed you...i never thought i was going to see you again.” and yeah, that was the truth, and not because he was her husband, but stefan was the most selfless person she knew and was good and before anything he was her friend, her best friend and nothing was going to change that.

lizzie caught sight of the other blonde, and couldn’t help but to eye her up and down suspiciously.  the woman was wearing her mother’s face, and seemed like she might actually be caroline, but this island had been known to play tricks on her mind.  not that her mind was completely there before the island, but everything had gotten more mixed up since she’d been here.  when the blonde vampire spoke to her, lizzie took another step forward, eyes widening, “mom?  is that really you?” lizzie asked, her eyes narrowing on the vampire in front of her, “or are you going to tell me that you’re someone else entirely?”

(¸.• ♛ → “lizzie...” it was so good to finally being able to see at least one of her daughters, really she was so happy that she was okay, now caroline really wanted to see josie as well and make sure that both were safe, after all, they were the most important thing in her life, always. she just couldn’t help herself and approached where she was, embracing her in a hug. “it’s me, it’s me...i’m so happy that you are okay, that you are safe...” or at least she seems okay.
