A bit dim and dreary this place appeared to be. The atypically chipper Pulsian had found herself wandering these streets for a few good hours now, just exploring really. Rain and cool air had her feeling a bit less smiley than normal, her boots soaked from the trots through puddles of rain-water-- steadily she began to slow her movements and not long after, took a seat at a bench hidden beneath an archway. Vanille took in a deep breath, she had no idea how she'd wound up in this place, or what to do. Turquoise hues savored in her surroundings til she noticed a blonde haired male not far from her seat. Quickly the ginger popped up and took a few energetic steps towards him giving a gentle smile in the process.

"Well hiya' there! Do you-- hmm, could ya' maybe tell me where I've gotten myself lost at?" Placing a finger at her chin she finished out "If it's not too much trouble for ya'."

It'd been a while hadn't it? Since Vanille had seen an unfamiliar face in the crowd, but considering where she had suddenly wound up she wasn't all too surprised. This island was certainly not part of Cocoon, it seemed entirely otherworldly. Noticing a boy with spiky brown hair the ginger made a bit of a cautious motion towards him. Taking a moment to re-adjust her pigtails she offered a smile before giving into her curiosities " 'Ello there! I-- hmmm... Could you maybe tell me where I am~?" Her voice didn't lack it's usually friendliness. Laced in her Pulsian accent, she merely hoped she wasn't too far to get home, or at least that this place wasn't hostile as Cocoon once was.

“I’ve met her on more than one occasion actually, and well, I’m a close friend of Lightning’s little posse as well.” He nodded, giving off an equally bright smile towards the red headed Oerbian. He liked her quite a bit already, all smiles and sunshine, like he’d always been told about her from the others and the stories. “But the pleasure is all mine Miss Vanille, it’s an honor to finally meet you in person.”

An almost awkward grin came at his words. Vanille hadn't seen anyone from the past in some time, even her time with Fang had been rather limited as of late. Clasping her hands together she simply needed to ask "--I'm glad to hear we've mutual friends, but... Hey Noel, couldya' maybe tell me how everyone's been?" Turquoise hues searched him over "S'been quite a while since I saw anyone, I've been awfully worried about them!"

“Heh, Light probably would.” he agreed with a nod, his smile ever persistant and warm. “Still, haven’t seen Light in a little bit so maybe that’s a good thing, she’s been keeping busy anyways. I missed you too ‘Nille, s’been way too long you’ve been hiding from us.”

It had been quite a while since Vanille'd had time to check up on all her old friends. Fang was included in her absence. She gave a little low expression before forcing up a smile to the cheery blonde "--It really has, I'm sorry... Things have been a bit different lately, but how've you been, Mr. Hero!?" Perking up, she nudged the male's side playfully. "Stayin' outta' trouble I hope!"

“Well sadly miss, I don’t believe it to be the case here. Believe me, I’d remember a face as pretty as yours.” He smiled softly, nodding, before finally introducing himself properly. “I’m Noel, Noel Kreiss…But are you from Gran Pulse pray tell…? I think you may be the first other than Fang who’s actually had the similar accent and clothing…”

The female gave her cutest smile at his response before giving a proper greeting hidden beneath a faint giggle "The name's Vanille!" She beamed maybe just a bit overzealous that this man knew of Fang. "Noel hmm? I certainly am from Gran Pulse-- Fang is, my dearest friend! Hummm but how do you know her~?" Not missing a beat of energy, Vanille gave a curious glance to him, placing her hands at her hips still bearing her smile in the process.

“I ain’t been hidin’, ‘Nille..” Came the older pulsian’s response, while pushing herself right up off the patch of grass she had been reclining in. “I was just enjoyin’ the day for what it was worth, before comin’ ta get ya anyway..” A hand motioned toward the spot next to her, as a smile graced her features. “Well, since ya found me instead.. Ya could just join me now, yeah?”

A cheeky smile emitted from the shorter female as she wasted no time hopping up next to Fang. "Such a pretty day, isn't it?" She chirped before lassoing her arms into the air and taking a deep sniff of the air around them. "Hmmm-- what were ya' plannin' on doing today anyway, Fang?" A curious glance as the pinkette took a few pacing steps about the area "Wouldn't want this day to go to waste now would we~?"

This was certainly not a familiar looking place. Cocoon surely didn't have such a peaceful nature to it-- a woman baring brunette hair and a pair of mismatched hues caught the Oerbian's attention though. She appeared to be the only one really awake this early hour in the morning. An island, hm? It was tiny, but Vanille was intrigued. She did a bit of a hop towards the female offering a childish smile and pressing her fingertips together just below her jawline. "Oi! Excuse me, miss-- could you maybe... tell me where I've wound up at?"

Well he was not a complete stranger, some hazed memory came flooding into the pinkette's mind the moment she saw him. Inquiring minds wanted to know, as a finger graced lightly under the female's chin. " 'Ello there-- hmm.... Say you don't suppose we've met before, do you?" A wary smile followed her query, as she give a tiny tilt of the head.

Surprise filled the blonds face as a familiar, chirpy voice spoke to him. His surprise quickly turned to overwhelming joy, “Vanille! Haha, how ya doing girl? Course I’m doing hard work! Hero’s gotta set the example for everyone right?”

"Well I'd wager any day that Lightning would knock some sense into ya' if that weren't the case!" The girl popped up next to him placing her hand's at her hips. "But it's so good to see ya' again! Feels like just way too long, don't you think?"

A grin popped up the moment she saw him, that familiar blonde hero she hadn't seen in quite sometime. "Well heya' stranger! Done a lotta' hero work lately or 've you been slackin' off again?"

"Lightning!" It'd been a while since Vanille had seen the grumpy ex-soldier. A smile curled onto the female's features as she offered a slight cant of the head to the familiar pinkette. "It's been a while, hasn't it? How've ya' been, missy?"

That was her alright. No mistakin' Fang when ya' saw her. The shorter Oerbian gave a cheery wave before leaning forward, a slight inclination of her head as a trademark smile found it's way to her lips. "Well hey there stranger! So this is where ya' been hidin' out at.~ Hmmm... When were ya' gonna invite me to the party~?"
