I wish Killer Killer were it’s own short series instead of it ending up being a stupid advertisement for the Danganronpa 3 Anime. The bait and switch was cool at the time but idk, the ridiculous story and characters had so much going for it on its own, and didn’t need to be tied back into the already convoluted story of the Hope’s Peak Academy arc. IDK For a manga about bloody murder it had a ridiculous approach to it that was very serious to the main characters but wasn’t meant to be taken seriously by the readers. It felt really honest about that. Also the You Promised You’d Kill Me romance reminded me of Angels of Death in a fun and goofy way. I like seeing dysfunctional characters with trauma somehow getting along in their atypical ways. It would have been cooler if it went on longer with the romance in a cat and mouse kind of way instead of her instantly finding out the murderer is her partner. I don’t know, it’s so trashy but I really like trashy.
