*The whole mayhem in a room with one of those indoor window thingies*
Dr. Teeth: Thank you my talenticious family to joining me for what promises to be the dopetastic and groovalicious tree lighting in the history of our band
Floyd: I don’t really understand. Where’s the tree man?
Janice: It was inside us all along. Oh how brilliant of Teeth to make us recognize our inner beauty
Dr. Teeth: No Janice, sadly not everything was inside of us all along. The tree is right here *pulls up a tarp and there is a deflated inflatable Christmas tree*
Zoot: Cool man, what is it?
Dr. Teeth: Obviliciously behold! The greatastically greatest inflatable tree that our country has to offerify. And now, in the immortal words of St. Nick, turn on the compressor
*Dr. Teeth then turns on the compressor to inflate the tree*
Dr. Teeth: You hear that? That’s the joyoulicious sound of the holidays
Janice: Oh wow like it’s totally deafening in a good way.
Scarlet: *looking worried as the tree gets bigger and bigger* It’s getting really big, what size tree did you get?
Dr. Teeth: It’s the jumboest my rose covered lady
Lips: Ih say ih ten meors toll
*The tree is inflating to be huge and is taking over the whole room*
Floyd: That’s like roughly 32.81 feet man, anyone unplug it
Zoot: We can’t man, the green thing swallowed its own plug
Animal: RUUUUNNNN
*They all run out of the room screaming before they could get stuck and Teeth closes the door behind him*
Dr. Teeth: Okay, the deadly tree has been confined
Scarlet: Wait! We left a man behind
*Lips is still inside the room, squished between the tree and the indoor window*
Lips: *yelling stuff that is even more inaudible*
Dr. Teeth: Well, Lips is confined in the room for all eternity, only thing we all can do now is move on with our lives, it’s what Lips would’ve desired-
*Lips then jumps through the window shattering the glass and falling to the ground*
*The rest of the band is shocked*
Lips: *stands up, panting*
Dr. Teeth: May she who is our god bless us and the world?
It was late in the evening, Scarlet Artemisia was stuck in her bed. Her long, purple, wavy hair was a mess. Her eyes burned from exhaustion, she couldn’t bring herself to move. She remembered how today, the thought of her leaving her apartment to go to her job at Polished City Records, it her cold sweats, how she lost control of her limbs, and her mind was as mushy as applesauce. The thought of her having to leave again tomorrow gave her that exact same horrid cold feeling. Scarlet felt this feeling in her chest, she didn’t know what it was. Maybe it was exhaustion from making it through the day, maybe it was hunger from currently only functioning on prescribed medications for the day, maybe it was despair. Either way, she wanted this feeling to go away, yet part of her felt like she deserved it. She had so many thoughts running through her head, mostly questions. Why was she still here? What happened to her to make her like this? Will things change?
Scarlet looked around her room, seeing she couldn’t bring herself to do anything else, still stuck in bed. She saw posters on the wall, of shows and song artists that she had always adored. Yet now that feeling turned into something that Scarlet could only describe as numb. Now the things that brought her joy only acted as white noise for her, like a despair that also brought comfort. She was disgusted at herself for these feelings. Her eyes then shifted to her violin case. It was covered in dust, it hasn’t been used in years. The violin case opening up a Pandora’s box full of memories that Scarlet tried to repress. This made her have more questions. Why did she keep it? What was keeping her from getting rid of it? Yet every question she had, was rhetorical. She knows all the answers, she just can’t bring herself to accept them.
Why was she still here? She has tried countless times to k*ll herself, yet for some reason could never go through with it. The amount of times she’s made herself vomit after overdosing on medications by sticking her hands down her throat. The amount of times she’s tried to strangle herself in her room yet lets go at the last minute. No one tried to stop her, she just can’t ever bring herself to do it! Which made Scarlet see herself as weak, pathetic, for having these feelings and for even trying to act on them. She’s probably only staying out of fear, of physical pain, of the reactions that might occur from others, or maybe it’s because she still believes she has a purpose, she’ll never really know why.
What happened to her that made her end up like this? Her first instinct is to blame her family. How she was told by her own family that she wished she had actually gone through with taking her own life. How her sister accused her of only being su*c*dal for attention, that no one cares since they don’t believe her. How Scarlet’s been given so many threats to be sent to a psyche ward for crying. How her own mother put her on so many medications growing up and saying it was to “fix her emotions”. How her parents fought every night and would always lead to something being thrown or broken. How her own twin brother was embarrassed of her for being what is considered “weird”. There was so much stuff that Scarlet couldn’t think of everything. Sure it was tame when she thought of what other people had been through, but it still felt like it was all drowning her. Yet, she lets herself get affected by what hurt her, she started slicing her wrists even though she hated the pain. She put up so many walls to protect herself that she has now become more alone than she has ever been. Scarlet knows this, yet can’t accept it, she wants to put the blame onto someone else, because she can’t accept that she is the one that put herself in this time loop of despair and misery.
Will things change? That is more up to Scarlet than it is anyone else. Yet, she doesn’t want to start to change, she wants someone to save her. She doesn’t want to reach out, she wants someone to notice her, notice her pain. This is what her downfall will be, thinking that it’s no point to be saved unless someone actively wants to help her. No one is coming for her, no one is going to save her, she’s all alone, because she chose to isolate herself out of fear. Yet she thinks one of the reasons is because society doesn’t like seeing a woman in despair, because it takes a long time for them to actually recover, and no one wants that. She knows what she’s done to herself, how she wants someone to notice her pain yet isolates herself out of fear of getting hurt again; But somehow she has tried to convince herself that this isn’t her fault. Which has only made her worse.
All these thoughts began to make Scarlet cry, still in bed, now her mind overflowing with thoughts on how she’s destroying herself by thinking the way she does. Now looking up at the ceiling of her room, her eyes still burning from exhaustion, but now also tears. She just wanted to be okay, to feel good again, and hated herself for not bringing herself to make the first step. Scarlet then closed her eyes, believing that things won’t get better for her, unaware that things are going to drastically change.
Author’s note: I hope you enjoyed reading this, it’s my first time writing something like this about such a serious topic. I hope I did good.
I NEED TO LET THIS ALL OUT BECAUSE THIS IS A SHORT STORY BETWEEN SCARLET AND ZOOT AND IT MAKES ME CRY EVERYTIME I REMEMBER IT, it isnt rlly like one of those script things its just like what would happen and stuff idk how to explain it

The band cuddle pile when they sleep, it’s the middle of the night, and Scarlet wakes up late due to some burning she felt on her arms, which are actually self harm scars, she tries to hide them which is why she always wears long sleeve clothes, she scratches at them out of a stress stim, Zoot just happens to wake up during this and sees what she’s doing. He asks her about them and she says she doesn’t know where they came from, just that they were from before she met them, to try and change the subject since she doesn’t want to talk about it, she says that they’re kinda similar since they both struggle with their memories, Zoot mentions that it’s hard to naturally remember stuff, and he doesn’t know why he struggles so much, Scarlet says that it’s hard for her to, but then admits that she doesn’t want to remember, part of her knows that it’s gonna hurt if she remembers, and that her scars are proof of her being correct, and Zoot then talks about the photos he takes, causing Scarlet to notice that he only takes photos of the good times, as if he chooses to remember the good times rather than the bad times, Zoot then calls her Rose which surprises her, since he called her by the second part of her name that she chose, and he’s usually terrible with names, Zoot then being a sweetie grabs a roll of gauze to wrap her arms so that her scars would stop burning and so that she doesn’t have to see them, to help her forget the bad, this causes her to tear up and she thanks him, even though Zoot has no idea what she’s referring to, she then asks if they can take a photo together so Zoot can remember this moment since it means a lot to her, so they do
Also I imagine that in the morning the rest of the band finds them asleep and all snuggled up together, and Zoot is using her hair as a blanket since she has so much of it that it drags on the ground, and Teeth takes a photo of this moment
Seeing all the stuff for the Muppets Rock N’ Roller Coaster, I feel like I’m gonna die, all the references, eater eggs, and all the love put into every little detail, Im so grateful that I’m gonna get to experience it in June, I’m not gonna spoil anything for anyone who hasn’t seen it yet, except for one thing

In my tech theater class, I had this project where I recreate a set from any show/movie/musical and made a diorama of it in a shoebox, I chose Gonzo’s death defying stunt from The Muppet Show 2026, and I finally finished it, it looks awful considering the limited supplies but I’m very proud of it
