Just found out these are vegan. What took us so long to read the ingredients? (We also found an email from the company that makes these candies, Storck, that confirms that no animal products are used in the making of these sweets)

we don't like to feature chain stores BUT when they make a serious effort to feed us vegans, we actually want to give them a shout out. Thank you, Stroeck, we think your Cous Cous salad, cranberry stollen and tofu roll (Tofuweckerl) are delicious. Keep up the good work, and let us know if you need suggestions or testers! Oh, and make a vegan cinnamon roll, ok?

2nd installment of the 1st vegan brunch buffet at KUKU
Join us tomorrow (October 2nd) for an all you can eat/pay as you wish brunch at KUKU. We are donating some scones (walnut and tomato/rosemary), so come by early.
a little birdy told us that Fresco Grill is playing around with smoked tofu for their burritos, tacos et cetera. They are already pretty veg*n-friendly, so check them out!

Jan Bredack, founder of the vegan supermarket Veganz in Berlin confirms that he is planning to open a location in Vienna in 2012.
Hafenjunge now offers a vegan hot dog and it is delicious! Maybe ask beforehand if they have some available the day you want to visit them, it doesn't seem to be a daily thing (yet!).
Good news for the vienna vegan ice cream connoisseurs! Our new favourite ice cream dealer Eis Greissler will only be closed in December, January and re-open in February!

this is already old news but St. Josef is serving delicious seitan doener, with a giant slab of seitan from Wheaty rotating on a spit and all. yours for € 3,20 (ish).
