(Hope you don't mind another) Meriel was enjoying the morning walking her dog through the town. She let out a gasp as she saw a familiar halfling walking their own puppy. She broke out into a jog to catch up to the halfling. "Ylva!" She called out as she closed the distance.

Ylva turned at the sound of a familiar voice. âMeri!â
She flung herself at the woman in an enthusiastic hug.
Meriel let out a surprised little cry as she managed to catch the smaller woman. She laughed as she held Ylva tight and covered her face with kisses.
After the kisses she placed the halfling back on the ground. âIt is good to see you again Ylva. I have missed you. Are you back in town for long?â She asked picking up the leash and with a tug brought her puppy over. âForgive my forgetfulness but have you met Madison yet?â She asked gesturing towards the black and white spotted puppy happily panting at her side.
Ylva crouched down to scratch the puppy behind the ears. âI donât believe we are acquainted, but it is a pleasure to meet you, Madison. Rumple, play nice.â
She stood back up and beamed at Meriel. âYouâve been well?â
Madison the dalmatian whipped her tail rapidly as she sniffed at Ylva. Deciding she liked the halfling started lock at her hand and arm.
âI have been very well dear. I moved out of the collective hall itself and live in town with several other collective members. How have you been? Staying mostly out of trouble I hope?â
âEhhhhhh, not so much. But it turned out alright.â She scooped Madison up while Rumple, suddenly jealous, barked at her heels. âYou moved? Where to? Can I see your new place?â
Meriel smiled at Ylva then broke out into a laugh as she knelt down to scritch Rumple behind his ears. "We have a place in town now. It is not too far from here if you would like to see it."
Madison, happy to be picked up by this nice smelling person started to lick Ylva's face with her long tongue. Her tail started to whack Ylva's arm which would start to sting after the first dozen hits.

It had been far too long since she had been back here but moved quickly to the main chamber. Once there she moved to the throne and knelt down before the woman sitting on said throne. "I have returned Mother. I hope you have been well in my absence?"
âYou may stand.â She said.âI want the audience chamber cleared with the exception of my daughter.â Regina stated, and the various vampires in the court left, if slightly confused.âI said cleared.â And the hidden guards fled too.âHyada,â Regina said, standing from the throne.â I, I have missed you.â Then ran up and hugged her.@weareantipaladin
Hyada stood wearing a cocky little smile as she waited for a greeting from her mother. Her smile and her pride swelled further as the guards were ordered to leave.
Her smile faltered as she watched Regina stand from her throne before turning to shock as she was pulled into a hug. âMother?â Hyada asked quizzically. âI missed you as well.â She leaned into the hug embracing her mother tight.
âThere is a plot against me, Hyada.â Regina whispered in her daughterâs ear.â One that has already struck against me. I am, my connection to the void of Wyrmdrake weakens.â She pulled away.
âMy Empire may crumble if the plot of Donatello Kinslayer is successful. Legions of my children will, ceaseâŠyou are safe. Of this I promise, your rebirth was different. You are truly my daughter and not just an abomination of Wyrmdrake.â
Hyadaâs eyes went wide and a cold chill ran down her spine. Once the tight embrace ended she took a step away as she gathered her thoughts. âI am ever at your command Mother. If you will it I shall seek out this Kinslayer and deal with him. I will never let anyone hurt you.â
âKinslayer is a Wyrmdrake, like myself and Raide Frode.â Regina said,â In my current state I cannot be sure he is not listening in on my conversations. Reading my thoughts, at least out in the wider world. Here my power can be consolidated. Do not directly go after him, find his allies, we cannot trust the Cynical aspect of Dhun'galil. I do not yet know who else is suspect.â
Hyada frowned as she took in the information, unsure of what to make of it. It did steal her resolve though. "What would you have me do Mother? I will stay with you and keep you safe with my life. Unless you had another task that needs fufilling."

Bel was indeed up, in sweaty clothes from doing her morning workouts. she opened the door and leaned up and into Meriel to kiss her. âGood morning sweetie, do you wanna carry me downstairs so I can cook some breakfast?â

She nodded, giggling. âMost of my family is nocturnal anyway so it doesnât really matter when we show up. Though if youâre really sure weâll never leave we could always leave tomorrowâŠâ
Meriel smiled and shook her head. âNo, we should go today, later if it would be more convenient for your family. If we wait I may lose what little nerve I have.â She gives a half smile and pets Madison behind the pupâs ears.
Bel nodded slowly, gently moving Madison so she was on the bed and then moved so she was straddling Merielâs waist again. âThen letâs go! Iâll catch up on sleep on the way in your lap.â
Meriel nodded petting Madison again before looking up to Bel. âAm I to carry you all day love?â She smiled and shook her head. âCome on, I know your legs work. Besides I canât saddle a horse with you in my arms.â
She gave a fake frown, letting her voice drip into her favored faux disappointment. âI guess Iâll just have to settle for helping you then⊠Oh wellâŠâ
Bel giggled and gently stood up, leaving her hands resting on Merielâs waist. âShould we bring Madison along? I know sheâd be adored by my familyâŠâ
Meriel smiled standing up and hugging Bel. "I would appreciate the help." She looked back at the puppy standing on the bed and panting happily. "Perhaps another time. She is still too young to make any big trips. Maybe in a year or so."
She turned back to Bel with a smile, slipping out of her arms but grabbing a hand as she headed back downstairs.

Meriel rolled her eyes and kissed Bel softly before setting her down in the bathroom. âWhat am I going to do with you Bel?â She said with a mock sigh and a shake of her head. âI will try to find something for you. Now go wash up.â
Bel nodded, giggling. "I will!â
She softly pushed Meriel out of the room and set about taking a bath, grinning like mad.
A few minutes later, she wrapped herself in a towel and walked into her bedroom. âSo! What have you got for me gorgeous?â
Meriel sat on the edge of Bel's bed petting Madison when Bel walked in. She smiled and gestured to the outfit laying next to her neatly folded on the bed. Beside the proper under garments lay black riding leather pants and a shirt of deep red. The outfit matched what Meriel was wearing.
"I hope you like what I picked out love. I fear I am not good at picking things out for other people."

Meriel smiled. âThat is a rather large breakfast. I can think of nothing else that would required, except a nice cup of tea and a beautiful woman to share it with.â She laughed sitting down in a chair with Bel in her lap.
She giggled, gently rubbing Merielâs thigh before standing up and planting a kiss on her fianceâs lips. âIâll be right back then! Donât go anywhere, your lap is really comfy to sit in!â
Bel sauntered away into the main kitchen area, and soon enough the sounds and smells of cooking food drifted over to where Meriel sat. âIâll bring you your tea when Itâs ready!â She sounded pleased, her voice drifting into singing. Once the sound of sizzling meat lowered, the sound of Beliara humming her favorite song could be heard by Meriel.
Meriel returned the kiss, reluctant to let Bel go. She did relent and after Bel went about making breakfast Meriel moved about setting plates and getting food out for her puppy. Madison came plodding downstairs as soon as she heard her bowl being filled. The pup quickly ran over and started to eat as Meriel zoned out listening to her loveâs song.
Soon enough everything was ready, so Bel happily piled the plates high with food (making sure there was plenty also for the houseâs other inhabitants left within the icebox) and poured herself and Meriel tea. She sat down in Merielâs lap again and kissed her fiance. âHow is my beautiful wife-to-be today?â
âI am well having you in my arms my dear. Though a little nervous to be honest.â She hugged Bel tight and started to eat, taking a bite for herself then offered a bite to Bel.
There came a whine from beside the two women as a small spotted dog sat looking up at the food and panting happily.
Bel happily couldnât resist being fed, but she also couldnât stand to see Madison not be fed so she stole a few sausages and offered them to her. âHere you go sweetie!â
She turned back to Meriel and kissed her cheek softly. âWhy are you nervous? My family is going to love you!â
Meriel opened her mouth to scold the pup for begging but her ire turned to the woman in her lap. Madison happily trotted off to go eat the sausages. "You know she does it to everyone right. You four are going to make her fat."
She sighed and continued to eat before replying. "I know but I felt the same way before meeting Tabi's pride. I just hope nothing goes wrong."
