//Trying to RP my adapted Ba'tala bois here isn't working like I'd hope--I never have muse for them at all, unlike Kamaya, who has had plenty of established history and writing for her in the Lylat-verse (she is the case of opposites--she was a fan OC first and then adapted into full OC rather than the other way around). But I still have plenty of muse for them--I may as well just try their RP blog @playsofthebatala​ if folks want to RP with them in their more natural element in a crossover setting.

Playsofthebatala covers the entire world and its histories, though, so it has far more characters and far more timelines to consider. If the demand (haha) is high enough, I might make a completely different blog for the "Grand King's Favor" era characters to interact with. But that's if anyone has any interest in them, Lylat or no.

"Kind, good sir..." says a small, petite otter in what seems to be researcher's garb and with naught but a backpack bearing a few journals and books. He doesn't even seem to be armed. "I believe you landed your vehicle onto a very critically important research site. I would like to kindly ask of you to leave." He doesn't raise his voice or make any movement or expression as he asks--his tone is hushed and monotonous.

Some quick bios I came up on the top of my head:

Ri'anoh of the Baranu >> Commander Ryan Torres, a Komodo Dragon/Veiled Chameleon mix from Venom. Born from a priveleged family historically linked to Venom's gentry in the past, now struggling to maintain any sort of social standing. He agrees to join up the Venomian Army and command a small fleet to serve under Dr. Andross in hopes Andross will keep to his promise to a better Venom, as he feels there is no other way for Venom to improve its desolate state. With all that said, he cannot help but feel and empathize with Corneria's hostility and wishes, so very deep down, a diplomatic, non-violent alternative can be met. If only Corneria would listen....

Kuraqa of the Buwaya >> Commander Crocador "Croca" Blaine, a Nile Crocodile who, unlike Ri'anoh, loathes Corneria entirely and is completely 100% behind the Venomian cause. However, while he is willing to fight for Dr. Andross, he is completely untrusting of him purely based on his Cornerian heritage and that he basically usurped his position in Venom through his exile. He also hates the other simians, or frankly, anyone who isn't Venomian at all. If Venom falls, however, he will contend that Corneria is the superior power and that Andross and the Androssian Empire is a failure. He just won't like it.

Gi'utoh of the Kawauso >> Dr. Gunther Colemann, a North American River Otter researcher aiming to search the full histories of various societies of the Lylat system, especially in Titania and Venom. He is rather neutral in the conflict, hoping to stay out of the Wars entirely. However, he seems to possess certain innate... abilities that either Corneria or Venom might find useful in battle. He'll just have to keep running and hiding.

The Meaning of Overworked

Mize sat there, stacks and stacks of papers and work files. He had taped a sign to the back of his chair that said “DO NOT DISTURB”. He was already taking on twice the amount of work he needed, and the complete destruction of his spirit hadn’t helped. He had at least 3 finished cups of coffee, with a fourth that was half full still. He stretched, popping his back and trying to refocus. He’d been there since 6 am, and it was currently 7 pm. No one had noticed him staying there for 13 hours, and neither did he.

A small box of donuts is placed by one of Mize’s many stacks of papers. He was about to offer coffee, but then he sees it’s not needed.

“You look like you need a break, friend,” says the grape-colored tiercel. Given he’s also in a labcoat, he’s likely assigned in one of the labs nearby and thought he could give the mouse some company.

OC RP: Vladimir Ilyushin

War was upon Lylat. Amassing its armies, Venom was poised to take the system by storm in a full scale invasion… but there was more to this force than mere military might alone. Deep within Venom’s cavernous fortresses were secret laboratories, where the most brilliant minds of Andross’ forces worked to augment their imperial armies with more…. eccentric means of warfare.

Super soldier studies, cybernetic enhancements, extra dimensional transportation and utility, and of course biological and genetic engineering were all being pushed to their limits within these dark halls. One such scientist involved with the Top Secret Bioweapon division was a young but sullen looking ape known as Vladimir.

A prodigy back home on Corneria, he had been attracted to Venom and to Andross for many of the same reasons other apes had been: to push the boundaries of discovery that Corneria would not let them achieve. To that end, he was destined to cross paths with another brilliant mind… Nythaniel Muir

When one thinks of a supporter or follower of Andross, most people think reptiles or simians. Lizards and crocodiles, macaques and chimps. Anoles and komodos, capuchins and gorillas. Not in the case of Nythaniel Muir. As the meeting of minds take place in an isolated laboratory in Macbeth, the grape-colored tiercel approaches Vladimir directly to offer a friendly shake of a hand.

"Dr. Ilyushin, I presume?" he greets warmly. "I am Dr. Muir. Genetic Engineering. It's good to finally meet you in person. I've read your dissertations on cyber-neural augmentations on Fortunian wildlife, it's very fascinating work. I am rather curious if you're still doing anymore experiments in that regard." He then walks along the hallways with Vladimir, opting to keep the small talk, well, small, as they head to their current project. "What brings you here to Machbeth?"
