I've got some stuff rotting in my drafts page for later, but for now...
I absolutely ADORE whiny hangry characters. The pathetic brats that make it their goal to annoy everyone else and be stubborn as a mule when they have an empty tummy.
"Ughhhh.. I'm SO HUNGRYYYY."
"I am NOT moving until I get something to eat."
"I can't keep walking! I'm EXHAUSTED and I'm STARVING! And my feet hurt."
"Stop the car at [food place], I'm starving!"
"But I want food now! Do you want me to STARVE!?"
"My belly / head hurtssssss...."
"Can't you see I'm wasting away?!"
GrroooOOOwwwll... "Can't you hear how starved I am?!"
"You want whiny? I'll show you whiny." (cue exaggerated dramatic whining and complaining to piss off the other person)
"Until I get fed, I don't care about what any of you have to say."
"I don't see any food coming my way. Where's my food?!"
*Glaring at everyone and everything, rolling their eyes, and scoffing while their belly rumbles from behind their crossed arms.*
"Why does [character] get food first?! I'm hungrier!"
Bonus points if they become nice, but only after filling their hangry belly. Only for the cycle to repeat once the next mealtime arrives and they get hangry again.
still on hiatus (from writing fics at least) but I came up with some hunger scenarios and I have to share them before I forget them.
1. Hungry character is far from home, lost, alone, and very hungry. The only company they have is their rumbling tummy. Maybe they're trying to travel home, maybe they're setting up camp at the moment. But either way, their warm house (and warm delicious meals) are far, far away.
2. Hungry character gets interrupted in the middle of breakfast, and gets dragged along on an adventure/errand by their eager/excited friend who is not a fan of taking a break to get a snack. (Bonus points if the friend starts getting hungry as well.)
3. Food is scarce, and Hungry character sacrifices their own dinner to someone else on their team who needs it more than they do. (Ex. A starving kid/friend/family member.) They then watch from the sidelines as the teammate eats, stomach rumbling with envy at the food they could've eaten. Do they smile through the pain because they helped someone else in need, or do they regret the idea and wish they just kept the meal to themselves?
4. Hungry character is sick and bed-bound. They just vomited whatever was left in their stomach, and they don't feel like eating anything right now. Caretaker characters is right by their side, taking care of them and their growling belly. The caretaker carefully feeds them a few spoonfuls of food, just to have something in their belly.
5. Immortal Hungry character that, technically, doesn't need to eat, but their stomach still cries out anyways. They get to a point where it finally shuts up, and it's just a dull ache in their middle... until they walk past a food shop and catch a scent of their favorite food, and their tummy goes wild. Or maybe they catch themselves thinking back on their favorite meals, and now their belly will never shut up.
ok I dunno if I'm just delirious from being sick as hell right now or what but hear me out... hunger and stuffing prompts but like themed around the 7 deadly sins...

💙Sloth: wayyyy too lazy/tired to get up and eat a meal. OR too tired to move after eating a huge meal (can be hunger or stuffing)
💜Pride: starving but too proud to take food from anyone else, so they'd rather be hungry then look like they need other people to help them. (hunger)

(Mild swearing warning)
I'm back! Finally got the motivation to write, so I decided I'd do one of these prompts I made a bit ago, Envy specifically, with my precious boy Levi and his hatred for his family lol
The golden orange rays of sunlight passed through the closed blinds and dark grey curtains as the sun began to set. Levi laid on his bed, holding his phone directly above his face. The volume of his music was blasting, but he could still hear the annoying conversations of his many, many chatty family members sat in the dining room just downstairs.
There was a family reunion being held, No distant relatives, just Levi's siblings and their partners & kids. Still, it was a lot of company, too many to handle, especially his snotty nieces and nephews. He wanted nothing to do with any of it. So, he cooped himself up in his room, as usual.
He was wrapped up in his blanket, just trying to doomscroll to pass the time. Every second felt like an hour, waiting for them all to just leave. Just as he was about to relax, a eruption of cackling laughter came from downstairs, probably another corny joke. He was sick and tired of the noise.
It quieted down to small talk, he couldn't make out any words, just mumbling from downstairs, but it was quiet enough for him. Unfortunately, quiet enough for him to begin hearing a new, annoying noise, this time coming from his own body.
grrrrmmmmbblll....
His stomach grumbled under his blanket. He had missed lunch due to hiding from his family, and now they were down there eating dinner, Another meal he would have to miss. He didn't wanna risk going down for a meal and end up talking about politics with Aunt Bonnie. He'd rather starve.
He wrapped his arm tighter around his aching belly, trying to shut it up and calm it down, but the smell of the feast from downstairs creeped it's way up the stairs and into his room. It was taunting him, taunting his stomach.
grrRRRRoooOoOowwllll...
Another rumble ripped through his middle, he winced and rubbed his stomach. His phone continued to hang above his face, he tried to doomscroll the hunger away, but it seemed that only shorts about food would show up when he's absolutely starved. Just taunting him further.
He rolled over to lay flat on his belly, simultaneously pulling the covers over him fully, as a way of both muffling the sounds of his crying stomach, and the sounds of his family. At least laying on his stomach made it feel a little better... Kinda...? Okay not really.
He deeply sighed as his stomach twisted itself into knots, not even releasing into a rumble, it was pissed. And it was taking its anger out on the man depriving it of the food it was so desperately begging for. He felt nauseous, tired, and his head was pounding. He tried to tune out his family just to get a nap.
Grrrrrrggggllllllmmmbblllllll....
A deep rumble erupted from his stomach, muffled by the mattress below it, but he could feel how violent and vicious it was. It was getting impatient. The scent of dinner continued to tease him, as if there was food on a string directly out of his reach.
He was too exhausted to continue watching other people eat food on his phone, so he put it down and curled up around his stomach, still fully surrounded by the blanket. He closed his tired eyes and tried to rest. But every time he almost fell asleep, a family member suddenly decided it was time to yell or laugh loudly, startling him awake again. Let alone the rumbling from his middle keeping him awake.
He groaned in frustration, and emerged from his blanket cocoon grumpily. He tried to use pillows on his ears, headphones, even earplugs he had lying around. None of them worked. He eventually flopped back down in frustration and exhaustion.
His stomach let out another complaint, and another, and another. All in a row. He grumbled back, laying a hand on his now sunken in belly. He started to contemplate just going down there, but he knows exactly what would occur.
"OoOoOhH, look who came out of his caaaave!"
Levi quietly mocked his family members with a sarcastic girly voice, before scoffing and resting his eyes again. This time, he managed to get some sleep, however it was pretty short lived.
The sun had nearly fully set by now, just a dim light fading from yellow to purple to black along the horizon. But they were still here. His family members really liked to overstay their welcome, and always had really long goodbyes... Just get out of here already.
He groggily grumbled as he rolled back onto his stomach, which also grumbled quietly in protest.
Grrrrmmmblll...
Still half asleep, he clutched the pillow closest to him and dozed off again... Only to get woken up yet again by the sounds of someone walking upstairs. Fuck... Are they coming to the door? Sure enough...
Knock knock knock
"Lee? You in there? It's me!" Honey's voice rang from behind the door
He groaned. The last person he wanted to see was right outside his door.
"Go away." He grumbled as he was yet again slipping his head under the covers, perhaps as self defense against his older sister.
"I am! I'm leaving, and I wanted to have a chance to see you before I left, Mister grumpy." He could hear the smirk in her voice, accompanied by that stupid teasing tone as usual. She opened the door and walked inside, only to see a pile of dark blankets with a suspiciously Levi shaped lump underneath. She rolled her eyes.
"You're so embarrassing." His voice muffled from below the blankets.
"And you're so fun to embarrass." She giggled evilly, sitting on the edge of his bed, "I see you're trying to become a butterfly in that cocoon of yours. Can you come out for a goodbye hug?"
"Fuck off." He hissed, still hiding in the comfort of his blanket cave.
"Huh, guess I have no choice other than to hug you from outside the blanket!" She reached down and picked up the skinny man, blanket and all, and trapped him in a hug from behind.
"Agh- Ow!! You're crushing me- Fatass! Put me down!" He tried to wriggle out of her hug, but to no avail. He looked like one of those bedsheet ghosts, just a bit more emo with his black sheets.
She finally put him back down, only for him to punch her in the arm a bit before sitting down. "Ow! little fucker, ahahehe!"
"Just get out of my room."
"Okay, okayy... Whatever you say, angsty." She snickered as she headed for the door. Levi, Still wrapped in the blanket, glared at her with angry, exhausted eyes.
"Later, ugly!" She turned back with a smirk, insults were the sibling's love language. Levi was too frustrated and sleepy to come up with anything, so he continued to glare and frown.
GrrroOOOOoorrrRRRgglleeeee..
His stomach had betrayed him. It grumbled impatiently right in front of his sister, who's face had turned from slight shock to a sly smile. His face was beet red from embarrassment, which just made him angrier.
"GET OUT!" He started to throw anything close to him at his invading sister, she was just giggling while blocking her face with her arms.
She flipped him off with a smirk, turned the light switch on, knocked something off his shelf, and as a finishing move, walked out without closing his door. The ultimate sibling rivalry combo.
"Ugh... Asshole.." He grumbled under his breath as he watched her go back down the stairs from his open door. He got up to collect the things he threw, and fix the "damages" his sister caused. He turned the light back off, shut (and locked) his door, and just as he was bending down to pick up his stuff...
GRRRRUUuuuuuummmBBBbllleee
He quickly instinctively clutched his belly with his hand. His stomach unraveled into a long, deep rumble that seemed to last for an eternity, physically making his stomach vibrate under his palm. The sensation was annoying, but also somewhat interesting for him. He'd hasn't been this hungry in ages...
Contemplating his options, he figured he'd rather sleep it off than have to deal with all of his siblings trying to hug him at once downstairs. Let alone making a meal while half asleep. He crawled back into bed after fixing everything, and promptly fell back asleep... Finally it was silent.. aside from the occasional growling from his gut, but it didn't seem to bother him anymore. They finally left...
-
The morning sun illuminated the room as the birds began to sing their melodies outside. Levi's eyes opened, adjusting to the new light level of the room.
He rolled over onto his back with a resting hand on his belly, his mouth was dry, he had a dull ache in his head and stomach, and he was in no way refreshed even after a long night's sleep.
He groaned as he sat up, from both exhaustion and dull pain. He didn't wanna get up. His stomach let out little, silent grumbles below his hand as it started to wake up. The smell of breakfast cooking downstairs woke up his stomach even faster.
Grrrrr...rrmmmmbbb.....grrrggg...
He grumbled unintelligible words under his breath in response, and groggily rubbed his belly as he turned to get out of bed.
He never even bothered to change into his sleep clothes, so he was still wearing his casual outfit (albeit very messed up and wrinkled from sleeping in it). His bed head was atrocious and he looked like he lost a fight with a tornado, but he didn't care what he looked like right now, he needed pancakes, asap.
He stepped downstairs, instinctively skipping the step that creaked annoyingly like it was second nature for him. He walked into the kitchen to see the very familiar sight, His father was cooking breakfast, and his mother & youngest sister were sat at the table. His mother noticed him first.
"Good Morning, Lee! Did you sleep well, Sweetie?" His mother was sweet and loving as usual, he couldn't help but instantly feel calmed down after hearing her voice.
"I slept alright... Still kinda tired.." A yawn interrupted his sentence, proving his exhaustion. He sat down in the empty seat furthest away from his other family members.
"You look like a zombie." His little sister, Ginger, spoke up. "And you look like a garden gnome." He smirked. Their mother smiled and rolled her eyes at the childish insults.
"You should've joined us for dinner last night, Lee! It was a blast! You totally missed out on all the fun!" His overly joyful father teased without even looking away from the pan on the stove. Levi had a favorite parent... and it wasn't his father, that was for sure.
He just scoffed and rested back in his chair, fighting sleep. The scent of breakfast was practically attacking his nose. His stomach clenched in hunger, and he was praying that it wouldn't growl. His mouth watered and he was almost drooling over the smell of that food. He was absolutely starved since yesterday...
His stomach yet again erupted with famished growls, there was no hiding how hungry he was. Awkward silence filled the room.
A look of concern washed over his mother's face, he could hear his father chuckle a bit behind him and his sister snickered. His face ran red hot with embarrassment. He wrapped his arm around his stomach and used the other to cover half of his face.
"Levi, Did you eat anything at all yesterday?" His mother asked with worry.
"Only breakfast." He couldn't keep eye contact.
"That's almost 24 hours, You must be starving!" His father interrupted, "Don't worry Lee, I'll finish breakfast soon enough."
"Thanks..." Levi sank in his chair. More little grumbles escaped his middle, he tried to muffle them with his arms.
"Maybe if you just came downstairs to eat with us last night, you wouldn't be so hungry, Dummy." Ginger yapped. He just glared at her.
"Be nice, Ginger." Her mother exclaimed.
Breakfast was finally placed in front of all of them and his father sat down next to him, patting him on the back. Levi sat up straight and picked up his utensils to FINALLY dig in. The first bite was like heaven, his tense body language relaxed, his stomach however...
GRRRRRROOOORRRRWWLLLL...
... did not relax. It was just excited to finally be fed. Everyone at the table except Lee chuckled about it before continuing to eat.
The hungry rumbles emitting from his stomach slowly got quieter and quieter with each bite of his breakfast, he couldn't help but smile a bit. Eventually the only sounds left were satisfied little gurgles from digestion. His previously empty sunken in belly was now a bit pudgy and rounded out. As it should be.
The four of them chatted as they ate. Levi liked this kind of company. He felt warm and comfortable instead of trapped and suffocated by his other siblings.
He enjoyed this peace and quiet... While it lasted.

This fic is pretty experimental, I'm gonna try making this without the colored text or character descriptions, tell me if you guys prefer this or what I did before :3
The rain was harsh. The windshield wipers squeaked as they swished back and forth. The red glow of the traffic light beamed into the rainy night sky.
Orion was exhausted. Today was horrible, everything was going wrong, and just as he thought it couldn't get worse, his stomach cried out it's complaints.
*GrrrroOOOwwwlll...*
His breakfast was pretty small already, but he had missed lunch entirely on top of that. It'd been hours since then, and Orion was starving.
He'd tiredly rub his empty stomach with his free hand while clutching the steering wheel with the other. There was nothing he wanted more badly than to stuff himself with a feast and sleep it off for a week.
*GrrRRRrrruuuuummmbblleeeeee*
His stomach rang out in the empty car, making him wince. The rumbling was similar to the thunder that was rumbling outside. Orion sighed, He was almost home.
-
The keys jingled as he struggled to put them into the lock correctly the first time, He unlocked the door and walked inside, covered in rain water cause he forgot his umbrella. He was so tired that he considered skipping dinner to flop into bed and pass out instead.
But just as he shut and locked the door behind him, the smell of fresh, delicious home cooked food hit his senses like a truck. His stomach rumbled quietly but viciously under his hand.
*Grrrrrmmmbbbllbbblblblllll...*
He softly groaned in reaction to his stomach and continued to remove his rain soaked coat, Drying the rest off with a nearby towel. He was drying his dark hair when he heard a familiar voice in another room.
"That you, Ori?" Frost yelled out from in the kitchen, "Yep, I'm home.." Orion replied tiredly, he wasn't ready to talk about his day to his boyfriend, he honestly just wanted to avoid him and go to bed.
As Orion passed by the kitchen to get to his bedroom, he felt those familiar thin arms wrap around his waist.
"Welcome home!" Frost smiled, his fluffy white tail wagging behind him, Hugging Ori close as usual. Orion said nothing, just smiled and went to hug Frost back. He would never admit it, but he badly needed a hug tonight.
After what felt like an eternity, Frost pulled back and met eyes with Orion, both smiling, though Orion's smile was forced.
"How was your day, darling? You look exhausted.", "It was... Fine. I am exhausted." His eyes felt heavy with sleepyness, he could barely keep them open, and Frost's warm hug wasn't helping that case.
He tried to think of something else to say, but all that was filling his mind was how empty his belly was and how delicious that food smelled. He eyed the kitchen door hungrily. "Whatcha making? Smells good..." He managed to mumble out.
"Oh, A few different things, I'm mostly experimenting with some old family recipes I found! Want some?"
Before Orion could respond, his belly did the talking for him and replied.
*grrRRROOOOWWLLLLLLL... GRRRrruuumbleeeeeee..*
They sat in silence for a moment, both looking down at Orion's stomach until Frost smirked, "I'll take that as a yes!" He chuckled.
-
The warmth and smell of food filled the kitchen, it just made Orion both hungrier and sleepier than before. He was sat at the table, watching Frost cook. The smell of the food being cooked made his stomach rumble louder.
*Grrroowlll... GrrrRrrRRRUUUmmbbll*
He supported his head with his hand, and started to doze off in the chair. Just as he fell asleep, the small clink! of the plate in front of him woke him up. He looked down to see the most delicious food he'd ever seen and smelled, his eyes lit up and his stomach was getting impatient.
*RrrrruuUUUUuummbbblllll*
"Eat up! you must be starving." Frost smiled with concern, sitting down next to Orion with his own plate of food. "I am, thank you..." Orion smiled back, genuinely this time.
As he took the first few bites, he was going a bit slow, but as the flavor really got to him, he quickly finished everything Frost put in front of him. Before he knew it, he had finished quite a few plates already and was finally comfortably full, his belly silently burbling happily.
He looked outside to see the storm clouds had passed, and the night sky was clear at last. The two got ready for sleep and both crawled into bed.
As Orion cuddled close to his boyfriend, about to fall asleep, he forgot anything he was worried about earlier. He knew one thing though,
[Prolonged hunger, Stuffing at the end, Cringe lol]
Thanks for all the notes on my last post I wasn't expecting this much support this early lol- this story is a lot longer this time teehee
Character descriptions
Rhys: Mute, Thin, Dark red merman tail and pink fins, Dull short red hair, Red eyes, Medium brown toned, Silver accessories
The merfolk murmured and whispered as the suspected criminal swam past them and into the middle of the clearing, in front of the Queen.
Rhys felt everyone's eyes on him. He'd keep his head low, avoiding eye contact with anyone. He was recently framed for committing a murder, A crime worth being exiled in this kingdom, a crime he never committed. He stopped, looking upwards to face the wrath of his mother, the Queen.
"SILENCE!"
The Queen's voice boomed, causing everyone else to go dead silent. Rhys feared for the worst, he just hoped his mother wouldn't believe these lies that were spreading.
"Word has been spread around, I believe I have figured out who the murderer is." The crowd started to whisper again, it could be anyone but all eyes were pointed at the youngest prince, Rhys.
The queen stared down at Rhys for an uncomfortable minute, "Rhys. Come forward." He gulped anxiously and swam forwards, ending up in a spotlight coming from the sun, Further pulling the attention towards him.
"I am sad to say, but.. Rhys, My own son.. is the murderer. All signs point towards him. I am very disappointed... But you know the rules. Guards!" Rhys panicked as the guards surrounded him. Being mute, he couldn't properly defend himself and tell his mother the truth. He tried to escape but his frail body was no match for two strong guards.
He was swiftly thrown out and told that if he ever came back, He'd lose his head.
Hours pass, Rhys had been swimming for what felt like weeks now, He was getting tired so he found a small cave to rest.
*GrrrrRRruuuuUUUUmmmbblee..*
His aching stomach let out a cry similar to a whale's call. He hadn't eaten anything all day, Missing all three meals due to being exiled. The vast ocean was lacking in good food he could eat, anything he found either swam away, was poisonous, or tried to take a bite out of him first. He frowned, Rubbing circles into his hollow belly as it whined under his hands.
All he found in the cave was a bit of seaweed, he preferred meat over plants but food is food. He ate the seaweed despite it being anything but a filling meal.
*guUUuuuuuurrrrrgggll..."
His stomach was unhappy with the sad excuse for a meal, digesting the tiny bit of seaweed and crying for more. But he was exhausted from swimming all day. He made himself a comfy little spot in the sand and curled up around his nearly empty belly. Though he was restless all night.
*GRRRrruuumbleeeeeee.. grrr..*
The hunger pangs painfully twisted around the small portion of food, until letting go with a massive ferocious growl.
*RRRUUUUMMMBBBLEEEEE... GrrroooOoowwwlll..*
.
.
.
Hours pass, Rhys wakes up, he didn't even remember falling asleep. His stomach is now quiet besides a few small grumbles, a pinching ache and that incredibly empty feeling. That seaweed was digested hours ago, it was too small to matter though. It had now been over a day since he'd had a proper meal in his belly.
He felt weak and nauseous due to the hunger, he had to find SOMETHING worth eating, and quick.
In the distance, he noticed a tasty looking fish. His stomach ached and grumbled at the sight of a possible meal.
*grrrmmmbbl...*
He swam up silently, carefully attempting to capture it. He reached out,
But before he could grab it, the fish bit some sort of odd metal piece attached to a string, and it was quicky propelled upwards out of his reach and up above the surface.
Angry about his meal getting snatched, he followed it's path all the way up to the surface.
He popped his head above the water carefully, making sure he wasn't seen. He noticed a strange looking guy, he had no tail like Rhys did, he had regular legs. Rhys had heard tales of creatures like these, but he never knew they were real.
Rhys saw the guy holding the catch that was supposed to be his, he frowned. There was a bucket FULL of fish sitting next to the fisher's chair. Rhys' stomach twisted at the thought of having that big of a meal... His mouth watered.
*GUUUrrrrggleeee.. groaaaannnn..*
His stomach got the attention of the fisher, right as he turned around to see what it was, Rhys had already gone back underwater. The fisher shrugged it off.
He needed to steal that bucket.
Rhys watched carefully, sneaking under the pier, blindly reaching for the bucket. He grabbed the handle, and before the fisher could react, "Hey, what the-"
The bucket, and all the fish inside it, were gone. Underwater, never to be seen again. The fisher just sat there utterly confused. "What the hell.."
Minutes passed. The bucket, now empty, fell to the sea floor. Rhys ate every last fish left in that bucket and didn't spare a single scale. His previously empty stomach was now full, with one of his favorite meals no less. His stuffed, round belly stuck out, softly grumbling happily, he rubbed his belly as his smile beamed.
*grrrggl...*
He floated around the water blissfully, happy to finally have a good meal.
Maybe life on his own wouldn't be as hard as he thought.
First story on this account- gosh I'm nervous lol. This is a pretty old story I found hidden in my notes app that I decided to remake, Sorry if it's bad, I'm still trying to improve my writing quality. and of course sorry for grammar mistakes, English isn't my first language.
The wind blows calmly through the grass and surrounding trees making a slight whispering sound, birds are singing in the light blue sky filled to the brim with clouds of many shapes. Nova and River are laying on a grassy hill, a bit of relief from their busy college lives.
"Look! That one looks like a rabbit!" Nova's face lit up as she pointed up to the cloud while looking at River with that same stupid smile as usual, "Gods, this view is just gorgeous, isn't it?" She returned her gaze to the sky above her.
"It is.." River added, Gazing lovingly at Nova, ignoring the clouds and instead choosing to look at something prettier, The girl he had a crush on since middle school.
The sun beamed down, not too hot, like a warm blanket. The sounds around them were calm, almost silent. Until...
grrrrgll...
A strange rumble filled the air, no louder than the wind, just barely being heard by Nova. She was confused for a moment, but brushed it off.
grrRRroowlll...
a few moments later, a similar noise rung out, a bit louder and noticable this time. Nova glanced towards River, who was suspiciously nervous.
"Did you hear that?" Nova questioned
"Huh? Hear what?" River couldn't keep eye contact.
"I keep hearing a weird... rumbling noise.. I dunno, maybe I'm hearing things."
River was visibly nervous. Attempting to gloss over it, he laughed awkwardly "I didn't hear anything..."
Silence once again, though it was incredibly awkward. Neither of them said anything for what felt like ages until another noise filled the silence.
GrrroooOOwwllll..... Grrrrgll..
The sound returned, yet again louder and longer. This time it was clear where it was coming from. River's eyes widened at the sudden growl, placing a palm onto his stomach in shock. Nova stared for a moment before giggling. A bright red blush crept up River's neck and along his face.
"Ohh, that's what I heard!" She sat up, sitting in a comfortable position and looking down at River, who was still laying down. "I should've known." She smirked, rolling her eyes.
"Sorry.. ahah.." River laughed awkwardly, "I forgot to eat breakfast today..." If River was known for anything, it was his horrible goldfish memory, it led him into many situations just like this one.
Nova's smirk faded into concern. "Again...? That's like.. the third time this week you've missed breakfast." She laid down onto her side, supporting her head with her hand, facing towards River.
...
After not receiving a response, She added "You oughta get your memory checked, Dumbass." She teased while smiling, though she was still concerned for his health.
GrrrRRrRrooOOOoowwwwllllll...
A long deep growl escaped his middle. He winced, mostly from embarrassment, but it did hurt a little. He rubbed small circles around his belly. Nova reached over with her free hand, rubbing her own hand on his belly above his, he froze.
Grrrrrrrgglllllrg...
She chuckled a little as she felt every little vibration on her palm, She soon reached back, laying again on her back like before with her hands behind her head. "Geez Riv, if I didn't know any better, I'd think you've been hungry for weeks!"
River blushed more, hugging his belly with both hands.
GrrRRruumblee.. grrgll....
His stomach twisted and tied itself into knots, trying to digest what wasn't there. It just kept growling non stop, and it would until he had something good to eat. His mouth watered at the thought of eating lunch later. Nova looked at the clouds again, and got an idea.
"Hey.. that cloud looks like a stack of pancakes!" Nova pointed at a random cloud that looked nothing like it.
"Mhm.." River wasn't paying attention, he was too focused on his empty stomach.
Nova kept pointing out "Food shaped" clouds, Making River's empty belly growl louder, This went on for quite a while...
"Ooooh, that one's shaped like a donut!" She smirked.
grrRROOOooOoowwwlllllll.... squeeeelllch...
"You're doing this on purpose aren't you..." River clutched his empty belly as it continued rumbling and squealing under his hand.
"Doing what on purpose?" She giggled.
"You know what you're doing, you're just making me hungrier... This isn't funny.." he sat up, hugging both of his arms tight around his belly to try to silence it.
"Sorry sorry, I was just teasing you. Let's go get something to eat. I'm getting hungry too." She chuckled, standing up.
River smiled, standing up too, and just as he opened his mouth to respond-
GRRRRRRRROOOOWWLLLLLL... grrrgllleeee..
His stomach did the talking for him, growling louder and longer than before. He held his palm to his stomach that was still whining. It was just excited to finally have a meal.
Nova giggled again "Let's go before that thing gets any louder."
