Warning - Do not romanticise unhealthy relationships
I’ve made a post like this before but I just wanted to reinforce how unnatural it is for men in their twenties to be so interested in young girls like Aria, Spencer, Ali, Hanna, and Emily.
Please do not let the show’s romanticisation of these relationships make you think that they are at all safe or natural!
A huge example of this is when Ian and Alison went to stay at a hotel together. Alison was FIFTEEN, and Ian was in his twenties. This is not concerning behaviour and not something to aspire to or normalise especially for young fans of the show!
Also as much as we all love Ezria, it is not good to make student-teacher relationships desirable -Ezra as a teacher was their to protect and teach his students and its unprofessional and illegal for him to be in a relationship with one of them. Also - it is strange that men in their twenties are interested in girls 7-10 years younger than them.
I understand that age gaps don’t matter a lot of the time but in these situations they should not be deemed appropriate as the girls were minors :)
