i'm about to rant about my chemo appointments cause wtf

my first chemo was june 11th right? and its a 3 week cycle so i was supposed to have my second chemo july 2nd, yeah? well they scheduled me for july 6th instead, checked my blood and my platelets were too low for chemo, 98, fine, they told me to come back 2 days later to see if they go back up on their own came back july 8th and guess what, they're even lower at 84. and they don't do anything to boost my platelets??????!?!?

low platelets?? is a symptom?? of chemo?? why aren't they?? treating the symptom????

now i'm scheduled for july 15th, two weeks after i am supposed to have my second chemo cycle y'know the whole point of chemo is to keep it in my system to, YA KNOW, kill the cancer cells???? they're waiting for me to fully recover from chemo,,, to continue??? the chemo???

and i messaged the oncologist that referred me there "is this normal??" and they said they should be giving me something to keep platelets elevated so?? why are they playing with my life????
