Intertwined Fates
She was bored to death. Misato was still at work and would only come back late in the evening. The other idiot wasn't here either — that asocial was out with his stupid friends, for once. "I'm better off alone anyway", she would say fiercely while angrily biting into her ice cream. However, there she was, wandering aimlessly in the busy city, because she couldn't stand the loneliness of the empty flat anymore. She was not honest with herself. She tried to convince herself that she did not need anyone. Why would she ever feel lonely? It was nothing more than boredom. She was a genius after all, and everybody know that geniuses always feel bored. She did not know where she was going. Maybe she should have stayed at home playing some video game and enjoying the air-conditionning, instead of going out in the middle of an August afternoon. Summer was so hot, here, in Japan. It was irritating. Too busy being grumpy, Asuka bumped into a girl to whom she did not pay attention and let down her ice cream. Perfect. She needed someone to yell at. "Watch where you're going!"
