I'M CANCER FREE!

Update:

I have been through nine rounds of chemotherapy for Hodgkins Lymphoma. I have three more to go, the last being March 6.

The road is not easy. I've had anxiety attacks and have fought so much mentally, all this well after trying to adapt physically to the drugs, the fatigue, and the loss of taste buds and hair (I'm like a 50-something bald baby at this point).

The side effects get worse near the end. But I still have a great team taking care of me, checking in, and adjusting things as needed. I have care at home, too.

I'm grateful I have that support, and that I've not paid for anything thanks to being a veteran and the V.A. covering everything. We are still on a curative path since HL is very receptive to treatment. I'll have a PET scan after the last treatment, and hopefully - a clean bill of health. 🤞🏻

Whatever you believe, I ask for your continued prayers, good vibes or whatever you send. I'll take whatever I can get.

A Personal Update

Hey everyone.

I've been sorta quiet lately on little updates. I've been Swagbucking here and there.

I'm facing some a health challenge right now and will have weekly treatments through the fall and winter. I'm hopeful and the outlook is good, but since May or June, I've had less energy and motivation. I just wanna get to the other side of it.

Because of everything, I've not renewed the viggletips domain. If you go to it now, I have no idea where it redirects. But it's not me at this point! The domain was pointed to and where the blog for updates has always been the same: http://viggletips.tumblr.com. Bookmark that. I've already updated the Twitter profile with it.

I'm still here. And I'll check in here and there. Once I'm back to normal, the blog/twitter should be back to normal as well.

Update:

To be clear: I've been diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. They put it at Stage 4. Stage 4 is different here than with a blood cancer like lung, liver, breast, etc. It's engorged the lymph nodes in my neck and manifested partly on the skin as an abscess. It's a hot mess!

I get a port put in my chest on Sept 3, and my first chemo is Sept 12. I am due for 6 rounds of chemo, 15 days apart. So for the better part of the autumn and winter, I'll be getting pumped in ways I didn't imagine.

I'm not a doom and gloom guy, so I have a positive outlook. I just wanna get through it and move forward.
