"Thank you." He said with pride, a nod of his head to follow. "Luster?" He had to hear her out on this. “Hmm, have you ever run a bar before?” He wasn’t about to toss this idea aside. She had a good idea here. “I’m thinking about it now. You. I like you.” He would grab another glass. "How does a third free drink sound? Boss is gonna end me for it but hey, you wore the hat, you tried the drink, you came up with an idea. That warrants another drink.”
"Run one? No. But I've been in them enough to know how if I ever really wanted to. Not to mention I've probably tasted every liquor known to man. I might have dabbled in mixing in my college years..." She sat up eagerly at the mention of another free drink. Liv, of course, was always up for a drink. Though, by accepting this one, the possibility of her driving home tonight would be a no go. She finished off the drink. "I don't want you getting yourself in trouble, but if you insist..." She grinned, adjusting the hat still on top of her head. This guy really knew her language.
"Oh good." He could have been a Grinch and made her regret this but that wasn’t his style. instead he’d start mixing the drink. Something with a decent kick. Smooth on the way down with a hint of peppermint and vanilla blend. A few stirs, a few shakes. Pour it into a glass and slide it off to her. "Be brutally honest. This may be my gift but it doesn’t mean I’m very good at it.”
Now was the moment of truth whether she would regret this or revel in it. So far, she was enjoying the view and the drink didn't look half bad so far either. "Brutally honest? You're talking to a journalist. I give my opinion fully or not at all."
She took hold of the drink and allowed herself to really taste the drink this time, mulling over it before grinning. "That, my friend, is a drink. Though, you're lacking luster! This is Christmas we're talking about! For the ladies, how about a Christmas themed margarita with a red sugar rim. Or maybe a pepper- mint stick in it for effect? Hmm?"
I would love to get some recommendations on blogs I should follow.

The damned reporter always had a suspicion, always had a hunch something was hidden. It was easy enough to keep her out of anything big, Sidney saw to that. But Regina was growing weary of the subtle jabs, and the half attempts at getting a real story.
Why hadn’t the damned curse seen to it that such people leave her alone. Of course she probably should have chosen another role if she truly desired peace and quiet.
" —- Share with your fellow man and for heaven’s sake please respect the curfew and don’t cause another town wide blackout with tacky lights —. “
Liv gave a small chuckle about the lights before pressing the stop button on the recorder she had in her hands. A soft sigh escaped and she looked down at the ground before glancing up at him. "Off the records... It just seems like crime isn't a prevalent part of this town, at all. From what I've learned, there's always some crime happening somewhere, but here, it just seems... devoid of that. What makes this town so different, Mayor Mills?" This was a question for herself, to ease some of the speculations that ran rampant through her mind. She'd heard it all before, but never from the Mayor herself.
”It’s simple. I’m trying a new blend for the holidays. A drink I will be serving the full week of Christmas. I need a test subject, someone willing to try it. No questions asked.” He raised his brow to his customer with a smirk tugging on his lips. "What do you say? You basically get another free drink out of this.”
Not exactly what she was expecting but definitely not disappointing. She sat up straighter, eagerly waiting to answer positively to his request. "Two drinks for the price of none? Sold! I'm all for this celebration of Holiday Spirits." Of course she'd accept such an offer. It wasn't that she couldn't afford it. Money wasn't a problem for the journalist. She just enjoyed that a good looking bartender was paying attention to her. "I'm ready to be your test subject."
Liv Headcanon 1
I've noticed in most of the threads that I have or had going, Liv usually has a drink in her hand or is at a bar. It's slowly coming to my attention a little fact about her. Liv is an alcoholic. She will never admit that she has a problem because she doesn't think she does have one. She's a functioning alcoholic, usually spending her free time drinking. To her, it's a means of escape from the deadlines and the crimes she's witnessed. She's seen and heard so many gruesome things that the only way she's able to forget is drinking enough to let it go. She also drinks to forget about the death of her mother. She happened to be the one to discover her and it's permanently ingrained in her memory and images appear in her mind every time she's investigating a case similar to her mother's. Liv is a very composed drunk, usually more eccentric and bubbly. She's more flirty, even though any attempts at relationships fall through as she's married to her work. If she is confronted about her drinking problem, she will become angry and even irrational, argumentative as well. She will fight back because her denial is so strong, she believes in it.
Okay, I seriously need a 'trapped in an airport on Christmas' au so badly. The idea has been festering in my mind and I just want an au where the two muses are taking their respective flights home for the holidays and a snowstorm hits, trapping the passengers inside. I can just see the mischief and funtimes this could result in and the cuteness as well. GIVE IT TO ME.
"Jeg er sulten. Har du noe å spise?"
Obviously, they don't understand. "I s a i d I'm hungry.. Got anything to eat?"
send one for my muse's reaction;
"What are you doing here?"
"Of course I moved on!"
"I can’t wait for you."
"Why didn’t you wait for me?"
"Aren’t sunrises a little cliche?"
"As long as it doesn’t require me pants, I’m in."
"It’s your time to shine."
"And we’re sure that’s not illegal?"
"And if I say yes?"
"Dude, what the hell?"
"Wait, since when are you gay?"
"What the hell did I miss?"
"I was gone for for five minutes!"
"She/he’s been my bed for the last twenty four hours, and I can’t remember their name. Think it would be rude to ask for it again?"
"I don’t see anything wrong with a shotgun Vegas wedding."
"If you don’t shut up, I will personally stab you in the eye with a spork."
"Is that really your version of an apology?"
"I hope you step on a lego every day for the rest of your life."
"Now that’s just stupid."
"I’m prepared, I think."
"We finally got it right."
"I choose you. No one else. You."
"I gave up a long time ago."
"In what world was that okay?"
"This is not a bad vampire romance novel, please shut up with the dramatics."
"Kinda wanna have sex, but also kinda wanna eat pizza."
"We could always just run away."
"I’m dying. How’s that for a dinner conversation starter?"
"Please stop asking me out."
"Love is a fairytale told to children."
"That wasn’t me."
"I didn’t do it!"
"That may have been my fault."
"Is this your first date?"
"You’re the biggest wimp."
"You’re pretty shy."
"Are you trying to hold my hand?"
"Let me sleep."
"There’s no way that I’ll say no."
"I don’t want to get up."
"Why don’t you love me?"
"I don’t want to live in a world without you."
"There’s a fire inside of you."
"I don’t think I can do this anymore."
"Oh good. Just what I needed to hear."
"Tonight as perfect."
"It’s just for the night!"
"I didn’t steal it. I borrowed it. Possibly for a long time."
"It hurts."
"We could go backpacking?"
"What do you mean you want to go home?"
"You don’t know me!"
"I skipped class today."
"I bought you a ring even."
"You bought me flowers?"
"What are you doing home so late?"
"Sorry I’m not what you expected."
"I burned my tongue."
"What a fake smile."
"Did you just laugh at me?"
"I can do it!"
He’s watching a game he should’ve played in, a bowl of macaroni in his hands when he hears the knock. It takes him a moment to pull the courage to grab the remote, flick the television off and set down his food to move to the door, but he manages. It could’ve been anyone. That was what made him wary to twist the knob. Nonetheless, a quick look through the peephole confirms it isn’t anyone he knows. Much less relieving than he’d hoped.
Tentatively, he opens the door, managing a tight lipped smile as he hovers in the door frame. “Hi, can I help you?" Cameron asks softly.
The former athlete hopes he doesn’t sound like he’s being short with her, it is hardly his intention but he can’t help but worry it comes across as such in what palpable anxiety he exudes.
He doesn't look sick... But then again, from what little information she did manage to get, the disease had a period of normalcy that he very well could be experiencing now. She smiles softly, trying to give off a comfortable air. She isn't here to bother him, but to help. "I'm sorry to bother you, but is your name Cameron Ashley? My name is Liv Andersen. I'm an investigative journalist. I've been tracking a story for some time now..." She looks down, fingers twisting the pen she's been holding. "Do you mind if I ask you a few questions?"

" That is the spirit! I like it! Since you’re willing to wear the hat, the drink is on the house.” He flicked the white cotton of his own hat with a cheerful smile. “Though if you really want to pay I know a way you can that does not involve cash.”
Drinks on the house was her kind of language and boy was she glad he was fluent in it. Flicking the ball of cotton behind her, she canted her head slightly to get a better look at him as he spoke, a small smile spreading on her lips. Was she sober enough to give an appropriate response? Probably not. "Now how exactly would you like me to pay you?" Nailed it.
