The phrase brought a bitter laugh out of Theodore. One he would have been able to stifle in he hadnât drank so much. Instead, he let the sound pass from his lips before bringing the cigarette up to his mouth again. A long drag later, relying on the nicotine to center himself even as it only pushed him towards tipsy dizziness, he spoke. âYes. I think I will.â In front of both of them were fresh drinks and he had already announced his plans to leave but Theo didnât budge. âI would ask if I the end of the engagement means I would see you more around their flat but itâs unlikely that Iâll be spending any time there.â Viktor and Astoria. It had been a question on his mind, a problem that didnât make much sense to him. Not unlike how he and Daphne had fit together without reason. The only constants were the Greengrass sisters then. âTheir mother and father are not this strange.â He murmured to himself, still unable to grasp why the sisters had chosen the two of them.
âI have heard, but that vould probably be a yes. In case you did come by the flat ever again.â Viktor watched Theo as he seemed to settle more into the booth, the cigarette indicating that there was probably more he wanted to say or think about. Knowing Theo however, Viktor did not think he would be quick to voice them out loud. âI âave heard they are quite overlooking when it comes to Astoria, and maybe sometimes looking too much. Daphne, she does as she pleases. That might be a little strange to me.â Would that help Theo come to terms with his raging thoughts? Not likely, it seemed as if it was only a problem he himself could figure out.
