“Ralphio?” Artur asked, raising his eyebrow slightly. Perhaps she was right, Artur certainly would like to see it, even if he did already know what today’s outcome would be he had found himself getting caught up in the crowds anger, wanting to see the corrupt man fall. “Perhaps. Although I do not think he will stick around once the fighting begins. I would not be surprised if their set off by his attempts to escape the violence” Images of angry protesters chasing after cars were fresh in his mind
“I do not think he will rile them up unintentionally.” Artur looked out across the crowds again, he had learnt long ago never to underestimate people. The second you though someone wasn’t a threat they would find a way to stab you in the back. “Point them in the wrong direction while he screws them over, however, that feels more his style.”
Viktoriya nodded, pursing her lips in thought as he spoke. “Yes, he will try to drop the verbal bomb of chaos, and as he tries to evade the blast of his own destruction, he’ll get caught right in the middle of it. Unless he already has an exit strategy.” She nonchalantly added the latter with a shrug of her shoulders.
At the latter, she snorted in amusement. “I never said it’s unintentional. No, to the mob it’ll appear as such. Just a few reckless words, ill timed to serve his cause. I’ve seen people like him before; they never do anything without meticulous planning.”
Roman shifted as he recognized Viktoriya - at the very least, he realized he knew her face, found her familiar somehow. There was something in her eyes that told him she was watching things just as he was, allowing him to relax just a little bit. “Miss Diaz?” The question confused him slightly, Roman tipping his head as he pondered it. “I don’t think I know who you mean.” He had an idea, of course, but he wasn’t about outwardly say so. The city was very large, so surely there was more than one ‘Miss Diaz’ around - though few that would probably be found around the courthouse. “Perhaps you can describe her for me?”
“She is quite hard to miss. About my size, dark hair and eyes. Probably would have an FBI vest one her. She works for the feds, y’know?” The assassin casually chatted, her eyes scanning the area for a familiar head, but even if she couldn’t find Arianna, she liked to spy on people, observing everything and anything she could to divert herself. “She often wears her hair up in a ponytail or a bun when she’s on duty.”
Artur’s heart stopped when he saw whose eyes were on him. He had been training younger recruits for as long as he could remember, had always had a knack of passing on knowledge, even those he hadn’t trained himself he knew the sill set off. When he saw the slight figure of the girl in front of him he had but one image in his mind, the perfectly aimed bullet that caused the disappearance of it’s victims from the world.
Artur was a good shot. It was perhaps his greatest strength. But he was nothing compared to her. If she was here, he assumed, it was for one reason. But who would her bullet be directed towards. An image of the few people within V.A.L.O.R who he had contact with flashed before his eyes. If harm came to any of them what would become of him? His stoic expression showed none of this, however, as he followed her gesture. “I doubt it will take that much. Americans are awful… sensitive.” He spoke with a smirk, not bothering to disguise his Russian accent around her. “Why? Where you hoping to rile them up?”
“Just because they are awfully sensitive is why I think they’ll be at each other’s throats sooner, rather than later.” Viktoriya replied with a delicate smirk to her lips. At his words, she shook her head, slightly scoffing. If she wanted to rile them up, she would have done it differently, and it only served to show how little the people truly knew her.
“Why would I rile them up? They are riled up enough already.” The assassin shrugged as if it were none of her business. “Who do you think will start it? My vote is on the politician. He’s bound to say something insensitive, and it will serve as the opposite of what he had hoped to provoke.”

It had been easy enough to falsify an outfit to make him look like a security guard for the courthouse. A fake badge and piecing together a uniform had been the easy part. Most people, with all the chaos going on, didn’t seem to think twice. Disguises were a necessity for him. Roman had no delusions that he wouldn’t stand out in a crowd, so he tried every possible avenue to make himself as inconspicuous as possible. And if he raised suspicion, he could probably talk his way out of it.
Mostly he had been doing his best to keep an eye on the safety of the Genoveses (as was his mission), so the latest development was starting to make things… troubling. He looked out through the windows of the courthouse with a deep sigh, glancing over when he saw someone looking - no, staring- his way, the face familiar to him. He immediately forced a smile and looked to his new companion, straightening up - making a middling attempt at covering up his Russian accent when he spoke. “Can I help you with something? The crowd is getting a little riled up out there.”
Viktoriya had never liked crowds. Too many people in one place was bound to end up in a complete disaster. But, crowds were convenient to her, mostly because she had had the striking ability to blend it better than a woman’s make-up powder. She stalked around the courthouse, her mission stemming from her boredom, and if she’d be completely honest with herself, she wanted to he seen for once in her life, and a comment here and a comment there could easily make her be heard. Absentmindedly, Vik looked towards one of the security guards, and before she could avert her attention back to the crowd, the rather familiar man smiled to her. “Yes, it appears they are.” She hummed in thought, scanning the man as subtly as she could, trying to place his face with a name, and after a moment she smiled back at him. “Maybe you can. Have you seen miss Diaz by any chance? She’s a friend, and I thought she might be here.”
Artur was lent against the wall, barely breathing, cold eyes tracing the protester’s path. He had never felt more out of place. This startling display of democracy was almost more than he could bare. It certainly wasn’t what he expected, these protesters did not have the valiant air his grandfather always described, they looked much more like the out of control rabble that his father, and his colleagues would describe.
How many times had he imagined being here, watching these protests take place? Imagined having fled the USSR and living in England, or America as a citizen. He had abandoned the KGB however, and was still not free of it. Still he must attempt to aid the KGB in proving just how false this democracy was. Would help them and the mafia control the election. All the while feeding information back to the organisation that could promise him everything but freedom.
He felt a pair of eyes on him, unaccustomed to being noticed, especially with such excitement in front of him, he turned to meet the gaze. He did not speak, afraid of betraying his nationality to the onlooker. He simply met their gaze, eyebrow raised in question.
Blending into the crowd was her forte, and even though she hated it at first ( always being overlooked, unseen, unheard ), Viktoriya has learned that it was more of a beneficial skill rather than the curse she originally though it was. It provided her with an amazing opportunity to spy on people without being noticed, and if there was one thing she’s enjoyed, it was people watching. Many things could be learned from observing the crowds -- the way in which current mob protested against the elections spoke volumes about the, apparently, tyranny which lingered beneath the surface, but after a moment of watching men, and their wives, yell into to crowd on the other side, her gaze fell on a figure in front of her, a man who appeared to be present only in his body. She fixed her stare on him, wondering just when will the tingling sensation of being observed pull him back to the present.
She didn’t have to wait long. The man turned around, looking more tensed and apprehensive than he did a split of a second before, and it sparked intrigue in Viktoriya. She gave him her best chatty smile, and motioned her head towards the mob. “I give them two more insults before brawling starts.” She commented.

Name: Viktoriya Domnina Codename: The Gallows Aliases: Victoria Dominic, Viktoria Göthe Gender: Female Pronouns: She/Her Faceclaim: Emily Browning Alternate Faceclaims: Zoey Deutsch, Gemma Arterton, Felicity Jones
history:
Date of Birth: December 7, 1942 (25) Place of Birth: Yekaterinburg, USSR Nationality: Russian Occupation: KGB Agent
early life:
Viktoriya’s life began in the orphanages of Russia. Her files, which those at the orphanage claimed had been kept, were long gone by the time she thought to begin asking questions. Her lifetime in the orphanage was a short one. She was discovered at a young age for her high intellectual abilities, agility and, perhaps most importantly, her ability to blend into a crowd. She was told over and over growing up, under the watchful eyes of the KGB, that she should be invisible, should simply fade away, that, if possible, she should attempt to disappear so completely that no one would even remember she had existed.
Within the KGB it became vital to excel at something. Agents were pitted against each other in never-ending, soul destroying competitions. Viktoriya was a good fighter, her hand-to-hand combat passable, but she was always too small and too slight to really stand out as a talented fighter. Viktoriya did, however, have a brilliant eye, barely ever missing her target. So Viktoriya set out to become the best, shooting over and over again until it became almost impossible for her to miss a target. She was removed from general training and was taught everything she needed to know to become the KGB’s best sharp shooter.
Her first job was supposed to be a simple one. She had rented a hotel room across from an American politician’s office. On her third day she lined up her shot and killed him where he sat at his desk. She was meant to vacate the hotel instantly, disappearing into the masses, but she was overcome with the need to look, and make sure she really had been successful in the kill. So, before the alarm could be raised, she moved into his office, to stare, just once, at his lifeless face.
As she looked down on him she was overcome by the realization that no one would ever credit her with this kill, she would die and it would be as if Viktoriya had never existed. Desperate to leave some form of herself behind, to exist, she began searching the room, finding a tube of expensive lipstick. Thus her trademark kiss on the collar was born.
Viktoriya goes where she is told, kills who she is told, and disappears again. Her list of kills is slowly getting larger, the only thing linking them together a single smudge of lipstick, which is often missed, or covered up. Viktoriya may go on her life in the same manner, but Viktoriya is determined to exist.
skill set:
Trained in advanced hand-to-hand combat and weapon use.
Domnina is the best sharp shooter in the KGB and is credited with over fifteen high-profile assassinations.
Known for having a signature after every kill. Domnina leaves a kiss mark on the collar of the victim.
current movements:
Last Seen: Oslo, Norway Report: Viktoriya Domnina disembarked a ship on August 7th and made her way into the city towards the university. She swiped a key card to enter the restricted section of the special collections library. The librarian was off-duty. Visual was lost on Domnina. A gunshot was heard across the street. After two hours of searching by the police, they found the former prime minister, Einhar Gerhardsen, dead with what looked to be the stain of lipstick on his collar.
known affiliates:
Lin Wu: The KGB pays little attention to the Mafia, but Viktoriya cannot help but be interested in them, curious to know how a criminal organisation can be so viable. It would not be safe for her to approach anyone to involved with the Genovese family, the consultant, however is her window into New York’s criminal underworld.
Arianna Diaz: Viktoriya came across Arianna when the other woman was door knocking, seeking out witnesses for a case. Not wanting to pass up an opportunity to leave her mark on the world she invited the other woman in for tea, claiming to be interested in the illusive ‘lipstick killer’, telling her everything she knew. Now the two girls will meet up when ever they get a chance, talking about the most interesting true crime they’ve come across.
Dimitri Bodrov: Viktoriya and Dimitri were discovered by the KGB at the same age, where Viktoriya was weak, quite and easily lost in a crowed they were strong, assertive and unforgettable. Viktoriya quickly developed a dislike for Dimitri, hating the way they could charm even her. They quickly spiralled into unhealthy competition. Now they are both out in the field Viktoriya will have to work with Dimitri, a job she fears more than any other.
