Going to stream in a couple hours! Probably will just be more cosy games for a chill Sunday stream
Sketched The Amazing Digital Circus crew!
Can someone tell this lil fuck to stop getting traumatized so I can move on with my life
So we ended up having a crazy busy week so couldn't stream last weekend. BUT I'm thinking of streaming some more cosy games later 👀
cranbershers guide ending leaked - they just go back to the house and have a nice game of soccer and they all live happily ever after this was also just some animation practice I had fun doing!

Me and my Insanity... for Cranbersher's Guide
Oh my god. Oh my god. OH MY GOD!!!!!!! What da heck! I literally delve my feet into the Cranbersher's Guide for Stopmotion Fandom, via Tumblr, and found out SOOO MUCH!!
Like im not kidding, soo much stuff....
Things with the series, the LOVELY LORE, and pretty much the finale coming up. Changes from the creator herself!!! The fandom still being alive and well!! And the absolute atrocity that this series has so little attention. I mean, it's good not to be overwhelmed by millions of people with their millions of expectations ruining the integrity of a series (cough cough TADC, etc.) but STILL!
I swear this series will explode years down the line and people will be like, wow I missed out. And I'll be like, probably all old and stuff saying, dang right YOU MISSED OUT!!
I'm so dead serious, I was and still am excited for The Amazing Digital Circus's finale. But I AM ALL THE MORE READY FOR CRANBERSHER'S GUIDE FINALE!!
(chef's kiss 💋)
I've made some fanart but I gotta make some more before I feel like blogging that 🤣
Hewo Vee! First off, I wanted to say, I'm glad I finally found you. I had went through a whole deep dive into figuring out where I could get updates or at the very least fun little tidbits about Cranbersher's Guide, since there isn't a whole lot with the YouTube Channel. So to find you here is an absolute delight!!!
For the question I have, I'm deeply interested to know how you were able to convey the body language of the characters! The way they move throughout the episodes are so smooth and are evident that their blocked with intent. Do you record yourself moving as the characters? Do you simply storyboard? Im just so curious!!
Again, very lovely to find you! I can’t wait for the finale!! 😋
Hiiiii!!! You found meeeee. Yeah I've kinda been hidden away with the new username and such (plus I have trouble advertising myself). But here I am :3
I weirdly very rarely storyboard any scenes and maybe I should lol. But otherwise yes, I record myself and act out pretty much every shot in live action, which makes it much easier to see if shot types/actions/timings feel right. It mainly just depends on how well I can act, so, glad to hear things come across right!
These video references will never see the light of day though. 99% of the time I'm in pjs or full goblin mode...
Hello Cranbersher people I wanna talk about something I've been thinking about since Vee brought up that the story is a 'thinly (thickly?) veiled trans metaphor' - specifically, how it ties back to C!Cran.
We know that Cran gave up some piece of himself in order to conduct the chaos magic necessary for the New Puppets to be made and come to life (thus, the puppet tree). And there's that idea of replacing - OP was created with Cran's own hands, and NP was borne from the tree, which is arguably a lot more separated from the tender time and care it takes to do stop motion animation. More than any other animation, I feel, stop motion just has a quality to it where the thing you're bringing into the world is physically here and you have to be so deliberate and slow with what you're doing. There's a reflective nature to it - especially if the puppet you're making is of your sona, of yourself.
And Cran feels that OP, this piece of himself resistant to the system put in place and trying so hard to hold on to being here, is not how he wants to reflect himself. He thinks that the part of himself he sold will do a much better job at fitting in that "role". The chaos magic takes all that reflecting out of the picture, too.
And yet, NP is still shaken out of the ideas of needing to fit into this "role", starts questioning who he is and how he actually wants to live.
And yet, despite everything Cran tried to do, there is a clear and vehement hatred of these puppets. He stomps on one of them, reflecting the influence NP got from the tree to kill OP! The puppet tree keeps producing a product that looks exactly like how Cran does now and reflects the mindset that he has imposed back on him and the puppets it grows, and he's completely dissatisfied and full of hate for it. He's basically making effigies of himself. And in this cycle of reanimation and self loathing of something that doesn't define who he actually is and he doesn't know why.
haha uh oh
The Ides of March is far behind us but I forgot to post on here Brutus <//3
A quick bit of lore underneath the cut
SO BRUTUS (or Rotten Orange), initially inspired by the song "Brutus" but I no longer fuck with it because the Creator then turned out to be a transphobe, I just wanted to make a "got worse" AU for my favorite guy :]
The story goes as follow, this is essentially Op if he was maybe like 15% more resentful to NP, after finding out that he's been replaced he begins to plan on trying to get rid of NP. This leads up to the fight and walk cycles and Op losing.
That also then leads up to the table scene, but instead of being yanked back Op falls, breaking some of his wiring and losing pieces of his face but not being dead (somehow don't worry about it). The human finds him and sees that opie's armature is broken, starts taking some of the felt off of his face to at least try and salvage the head for a mold and tosses him into a scrapbox (ASSUMING WERE GONNA WORK WITH IT)
However whilst in the scrap box op fines One singular eyepiece and comes back to life. Now found disregarded and torn apart he is fueled with anger and rage and decides to find NP and kill him.
He takes parts and scraps from other puppets within the box and makes him stronger, intertwining wiring from other armatures of fallen puppets to make sure that he won't fail this time, and escaping The box with a seam ripper
He confronts NP back on the table and we can see how that ended up now-
Bro gets stabbed through the head <///3
any particular inspirations for the Broken puppet's design? That eye mouth blew my mind the first time I saw it
Maybe not quite the answer you're looking for, but Broken's design originally just came out of last-minute desperation and FOMO. (Did that fuel their personality? Unsure tbd lol)
Basically it was 2016, I was an insecure little 20-year old, and commission work was eating up all of my time. (Tangent but I was operating on fear for most of my Youtube career, trying to do as many commissions/videos as possible because 'otherwise this stop-motion thing isn't gonna work out and I'm gonna be fucked'. You know, the HEALTHIEST mindset to have...)
Halloween 2016 was approaching and I had just wrapped on 'The TRUE Itch', and was either midway through or just needing to start another commission, unsure. It was really getting me down that my favorite holiday was approaching and I wasn't going to have any time to make anything for it, while lots of other people online were getting their fun Halloween vids together.
So, either the week of, or, it could very well have been the night before Halloween???? It fully hit me, and I put everything else I was doing on hold. I then pure ADHD-stream-of-consciousness took the only NP puppet I had at the time and ripped one of his eyes off, painted on a little blood stitching, bashed out some midlly spooky/edgy/cryptic dialogue, then animated and edited the whole video. And thus, we had the first Broken video, aptly named, "B͏̨͞R҉̴͞͏O̵Ḱ̡É͏N͟͏̡̡̛".
Somewhere in that whirlwind the thought, "Heywhatiflikeanothermouthcameoutoftheeyesockethahawoah!" entered my brain and I ran with it.
Of course after this, I actually finished writing the entire series and put more of a thought process behind their character, which very appropriately boils down to, "Hey uh so I wasn't doing all that well but you know I'm making it through and doing better all things considered. Also there's two of us in here because [REDACTED]"
TBH alot of the early stages of writing went, "Hmm this thought popped into my head about (insert character/story point) and I don't know why but it feels right so-" and then later 1) Egg Cracking, and 2) Going to Therapy, made me look back on everything and go, ".......Ohhhhhhhhhh"
hey Vee, what other rhythm games do you play (if you still play them?)
I took your advice on 140 and Thumper a few years ago, and I had a lot of fun! I’m still trying to 100% 140 to this day. It’s been five years (with many breaks to be fair). I am in one-hit-KO HELL on that last level. I have 16 hours on 140 and I beat the original game in 40 mins this is torture As for Thumper, I had fun, but I have MAJOR skill issues. I beat it but could not master the controls (but that was probably because I was on pocket edition with no controller) 😭 How did you S+ Play+. I will never understand
Sadly my brain doesn't have the free space to play any rhythm games currently, but I played Melatonin a few years back, very cozy. I've also been a fan of the BIT TRIP games for a long while. I also haven't even bothered trying the last 140 level one-hit KO mode so you're doing better than me LOL.
Back when I had way too much time on my hands I played Thumper into the dirt and I have no memory of it. I truly went somewhere else while played it and just pressed buttons and it seemed to work /j.
stupid ask, what are the puppets fursonas, important ask
OP is a raccoon
NP is a cuckoo
Broken is a bat

hey, what does KM stand for?
Hi Vi! 👋. I've nearly been a fan of the guide series for 2 years now and I'm so happy I found it! I don't know how to thank you enough. I don't even know how to word this. I just wanted to say thank you, for everything you've done and how you have progressed as a stop motion animator. All us stop motion fans are proud of you and your journey. Also! Congratulations for your transition as well. 🏳️⚧️
I'll finish this off with a question (if I may) when you first introduced NP to the guide series (back in the lip sync episode) did you always have a plan for the story and how you wanted it to go? In regards to the puppets interactions and so on
Hey now I didn't make this q and a post just for people to be SWEET as HELL at me 😤😤😤 (Thank you so much owwwieeeee ;-;)
Tbh NP entering the series was the first time I considered expanding the guides into something more, rather than just some unhinged elements here and there.
