Surprise flinted across Kaneko’s expression, feeling the dull heat of a blush warm her cheeks. She wasn’t really used to being complimented on so randomly by a complete stranger… A part of her wondered if it was a part of some deeper motive…

Arms crossed over her chest as the girl looked away; attempting to hide her embarrassment.

“… Thank you…. I suppose…”

"Sorry, just kinda blurted that out." 

Lieu didn’t meant to startle her. Her eyes quickly darted to the ground, as if her scuffed boot was more interesting. She was just coming back after a visit back home and wandering around the city. For the first time, she had really missed the city itself, not just her friends here.

"Yer welcome. I guess I spent too long quiet on the train, my brain just had t’ speak."

She shrugged, lifting her head finally from her feet. “I’m Lieu by the way.”

"… Kaneko…"

She responded after a beat, bowing her head a fraction in greeting with her introduction; arms still crossed over her chest. Her head tilted at the accent that was laced in her voice. The city carried many different people from many different parts of the world; so it couldn’t really considered ‘strange’ or anything. Pale fingers tugged at her black turtleneck, glancing away once more - Kaneko had never been that good in social situations - before looking back towards her.

"… So you’re not just visiting… You like here?"

"No, I've been here a few years now. About 3-4 close to?"

She puzzled that out, shrugging off her estimation. Still, she couldn't help but catch the way Kaneko tugged at her shirt. She took a slight step back, giving her a bit more room. 

"And yeah, I really like it here. Didn't realize how much until I went t' visit family. What about ya? Ya like the city alright?"

"It feels good t' be home again. I mean, I'm still a swamp girl but...I honestly missed this place, yanno?" She grinned back, the smile coming easier now. "Didn't mean t' worry ya though. It's just, he talks and talks and sometimes I want t' shove the words back into his mouth."

She shook her head, turning to face Yue more straight on. "How are ya, though? Been doing alright?"

I might just have to give up on clearing up likes. I've cleared out a thousand, and there's still a thousand + . It's things like that makes me want to lock this up as an archive and restart. But I hate to lose everything I've worked on.

But I do know, after digging around in her likes, I really want to work on Lieu. And I really want to balance my time better so I can be here. But also keep up with friends in other places. So yeah, alot of thinking to do.

For now, I'm gonna pop into people's inbox and send memes.

(Also debating dropping Hai as a rp character until if/when his wife comes back to the avatar scene. Which means I'm considering another male muse. Because I like having one. Just don't know what. Part of me wants to use Suho from EXO because he was one of my favorites before I got out of kpop, but I have no idea how he'll fit in.)

Okay, time to try and actually focus on replies. I'm seeing what I owe (especially since I forgot someone when I was here last, sorry yuletidecrow!!!!) And post up those replies later tonight/tomorrow morning and tomorrow morning, I'm going to either make a starter or do a meme. It's going to be some low-key stuff, to get me back into the habit.
