Man one thing I love about the Guild Wars series is that Humans are actually interesting. Like in most high fantasy settings with magical races, humans are just kinda there as a footnote. They’re kinda just there because it’s expected. When you look at their lore and culture in the wider world fantasy humans are kinda just… nothingburger. The Guild Wars series is legitimately the only series I know of where Humans have an actual presence with interesting lore. Guild Wars Humans they could never make me hate you.

I play the game just for the story

I play for other things in the game but the story is a bonus I like.

I play the story but I could care less about it.

#story has never been great lmfao #it's mostly a contrivance for either the sake of Gameplay or Sales Pitching #that stretch of PoF into early IBS was surreal in the broader scope of the franchise #so yes. I play the story but I don't care about it really. I'm not here for the story #I'm here for the world building & gameplay. & rp. gw2 is unique in the manner it handles open world and its design #it's alive it's fresh it's interesting #story is not great tho. in fact it's mostly bad. but it's interesting and it gets thoughts going #unless you're looking at Janthir Wilds fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you #anyways long ramble to say it's a deeply rooted interest of mine not because it's good #but because it sucks in interesting ways 97.3% of the time
