Aleka Atlaw Bantiwalu In 1950’s during the Ethio-Somalian war Atlaw Bantiwalu was on duty when he got shot in the chest. Nevertheless, he refused to retaliate and returned back to Addis Ababa after the Ethiopian Army won. He was given an honorary title. Atlaw Bantiwalu was shot dead 10 years later, during the war between Ethiopia and Eritrea for the Aseb port in the 1960’s.⠀ ⠀ በ1957 ባሌ ጎባ ላይ በኢትዮ ሶማሌ ጦርነት ግዳጅ ላይ እያለ በጥይት ትከሻው ላይ ቢመታም፣ በወኔ ጦርነቱን ማሸነፍ ስላለብን እና ለጠላት ወራሪ እጅ አልሰጥም በማለት ጦርነቱን ድል ነስተው ወደ አዲስ አበባ ሲ መለሱ የክብር ማእረግ ተሰቶታል። ከ10 አመት በሃላ በ1967 ኢትዩ ኤርትራ ጦርነት ላይ የአሰብን ወደብ ለሃገር ሀብት ለማስቀረት በጦርነት ላይ ሳለ ታህሳስ 22 ከጠላት በተተኮሰ የከባድ መሳርያ ህይወቱ ሊያልፍ ችሏል።⠀

“He loved children so much that he used to feed the kids of the neighborhood as they were his own,” remembers Abebe who took this photo of his brother Dagnachew Gera in 1985.⠀ ⠀ ‘ልጆች በጣም ከመውደዱ የተነሳ የሰፈሩን ህፃናት ሰብስቦ እንደራሱ ልጆች ይመግባቸው ነበር።’ ሲል ያስታውሳል በፎቶግራፉ ላይ ያለው የዳኛቸው ጌራ ወንድም አበበ ጌራ። (1978 አ.ም)
