Response times will vary from day to day. Lack of response is rarely an indicator of me not wanting to interact anymore, so I ask that you just be patient. If I wish to drop a thread I'll let you know, and I expect those who interact with me to do the same.

Please just use common human decency when interacting. Also, godmodding & powerplaying will not be tolerated.

Writing for a ship is something I'm willing to try with very trusted mutuals ONLY. Plotting will be required beforehand, as I've a very specific way of writing Jhin in romantic scenarios that not everyone will be comfortable with—he's a criminal psychopath, after all.

Along with the above, NSFW dynamics are something I'm willing to plot for after we've built trust. That said, be aware: I'm not always going to be interested in such things—it's purely dependent on the dynamics of our muse's interactions.

Previous rules in mind, please remember that the beliefs and/or behaviors I write in Jhin do not necessarily correlate with my own.

Formatting (or lack thereof) isn't super important to me as long as things are readable & clean.

I tend to get detailed with my interactions & in most cases will end up going multi-para; I expect my energy to be matched at least somewhat, but I don't mind one-liner interactions here & there.

Honesty is important; if there's something wrong, please do not hesitate to let me know. I'm always willing to chat if anything I've written doesn't sit right with you, or if you feel we should part ways as RP partners.

What is the act of judging another if not a statement of supreme confidence in one's own understanding? And what is understanding if not a reflection of one's own unique inner world?

Impart judgment enough, and before long, you'll start mistaking a soapbox for a stage.

Slowly, unbeknownst to yourself, you'll become dependent on the high of receiving an audience's reaction. Even a one-man crowd of you, yourself is enough to stoke the flames of destruction.

You'll begin conflating the audience's participation with justification.

In your mind, you'll be an unshakable voice of reason that lends strength to a cause you've decisively mantled as a "necessary burden".

The audience deemed you worthy, after all.... and you can't go disappointing them now, can you?

Alas, a voice of reason does not need to announce itself, for it simply is. It enacts judgment slowly, painfully, and without a spoken word.

But why should you, the people's purveyor of truth & reason, trust an unspoken voice?

You are the one who bears the mantle, after all. You are the one who had the strength to build an audience where no one else would!

From the moment you donned that mantle, you set yourself up to perish beneath the crushing pressures of The Masquerade.

Pride looks so very tantalizing wrapped in silken Strength, doesn't it?

So much so that you could almost forget its presence entirely beneath the facade.

The most beautiful part is that you'll think yourself justified until the moment your stage crashes down around you.

The flames you unknowingly stoked will burn your self-righteous facade away to reveal a cold, dark void where you could have sworn you'd been keeping your face.

But that was always your face, was it not?

A seemingly endless pit of despair solemnly searching for purpose in a world that would don its very own mantle of self-righteousness in order to cast your darkness out?

How very poetic that everything you're destined to become is the very same as what you fight against;;

My Fav Thing About Each Jhin Splash

Base: The "camera" being at eye level serving to remind the viewer of Jhin's humanity while we look at the reflection through his own eyes. Notice how the smoke in the bottom right corner has butterflies in it while the reflection doesn't? Beautiful, terrifying.

High Noon: The intensity of the setting denoted by the tolling bell & disturbed dust particles contrasted by the elegance & focus in his posture — his expertise is on full display.

Blood Moon: The storytelling; specifically in how the smoke trail from Whisper indicates he'd just turned around & started disassembling after firing through the scenery.

PROJECT: The motion; A terrifying sense of resolve is present as he moves toward the "camera", presumably after taking down the vehicle to the left, all while twirling his gun in classic Jhin fashion.

Dark Cosmic: The eerie yet serene sense of confidence & wonder in his pose as he looks on at the planet crumbling within his grasp. It really conveys an undeniable sense of incomprehensible, otherworldly power.

Shan Hai Scrolls: The smoke & traps releasing from the painting in the background. Makes an already intense scene feel all the more terrifying as Jhin leaves his scroll.

Empyrean: The expressiveness of the pose being the focus even as eye-catching chaos consumes the background; he looks driven & enthusiastic — I'm so happy for him!

Soul Fighter: The way your eye is drawn to his mask despite Whisper being front & center. It serves as a wonderful representation of the weapon only being as powerful as its wielder, and he certainly does give off an irrefutable air of power here~

The commission had been accepted–each signature sealed in wax and ruin upon the bedside table, staring at him from its perch with unseen, hideous eyes that burned like flames engulfing a funeral pyre. His stage was set; and yet, even with a show on the horizon, Jhin sat uninspired, mind wandering to bittersweet lamentations as he meticulously polished the pieces of his golden armor.

Today's cogitation was of the audience;; namely the widespread monotony they forced him to witness day in and day out as they putter about in their useless existences. It was utterly droll.

This is a crowd who willfully deafens themselves to his orchestrations so they may listen only to ballads of learned helplessness composed by tone-deaf sirens. Just how long will they persist expecting others to furnish the glass houses they mindlessly elect to throw stones in, anyway?

Jhin huffed, placing freshly polished footwear beside the gnarled oaken nightstand. Disgust washed over him as he meandered to the singular window present in the room where he witnessed the morning bustle of the sunlit Ionian village;; so many actions and thoughts taking place all over his stage, yet none so much as hinted at being a workable narrative or set piece. No matter from which angle he'd observe, they all remain as rats believing themselves hopelessly trapped in cages that'd never been locked in the first place.

Once, it was quite enjoyable to prod at this insecurity they so tenaciously brandished in order to shield themselves from the beautiful, inevitable tragedies of reality. Oh, how amusing it was to watch their faces fill with fear at the mere spectacle of unbiased truths booming & bleeding amidst his stage. Alas, gone are the days of such novel simplicity;; he'd risen so far above it as he honed his craft that any applause gained felt painfully hollow.

On one hand he took great pride in his innovative methods of memorandum, for it made it irrefutably obvious just how brilliant he was in contrast to the world at large — truly one-of-a-kind! On the other hand, though, it was mind numbing to navigate a world in which people strut about thinking themselves deserving of being handed everything on a silver platter for simply existing through the events that make them whom they are. The audacity these failures must contain to reject his thought-provoking narratives!

It was then that it struck him:: flashes of a composition reminiscent of resplendent revelry upon the backdrop of a blood-red sky. Flourishes of gold dance about the scene on a village plagued with drought as the viewer's eyes are drawn toward the presence from which the radiance emanates, evoking a sense of wonder as it grace the lands below with glittering rains. Title:: "Merriment, Monody".

The stage would take some time to set appropriately, though he was certainly blessed to have everything he needed within his grasp. This week was shaping up to be far more entertaining than he'd originally thought.

Jhin gazed out the lone window once again with renewed zeal, "Now, where shall I begin preparations?"

Jhin simply rolled his eyes at the colorful commentary. "How very banal." he responded, now turning to face the gilded woman. It was quite a shame the mouth of a barbarian reside upon an otherwise elegantly assembled presence; any stage potential she had, ruined at the hands of a diction reminiscent of a raging sandstorm. He took but a moment to lament the scene before continuing, disappointment palpable in his voice. "Such a brilliant finale deserves to be extolled, yet here you sit in the front row with naught but a pointless platitude."

💭 + regrets

If you were to ask Jhin about his regrets directly, I believe he'd find it quaint, as he understands that there're emotional connections assumed between a man & said regrets. He, though, is a man driven only by his values, as such, the only logical subjects of regret are those that'd cause a disruption in that specific regard. He may tell you of a scenario in which he'd an idea to improve the composition of a piece only after finalizing it (much to his frustration), or perhaps the situation that landed him in prison for 16 years before he'd been released. He'd regret that he got caught; that it put a stop to his art for that time.

💭 + life plans

I can answer this using some in-game quotes! "Until they stop me, I will keep going." Jhin is fully committed to his performance, and I believe he intends to stick with it until literally forced to stop, whether that happens by being placed in prison (again) or killed. "There is nothing for me but this." This is a man so deep into his skewed understanding of the world that it's the only truth he intends to entertain; the only truth that is and always will be logical in his eyes. He's aware of the alleged 'good' things life has to offer, however, since he doesn't have the ability to "feel" from any of them, they serve him no purpose, thus are not a factor in moving forward with his life at any point. To put it simply: A man predisposed to solely non-emotional, intellectualized thinking patterns will tend to have little reason to plan for a future. It's illogical; a waste of time when he's living in the present now and has the ability to simply get what he wants the moment he wants it. He chases what makes him feel like he has a purpose - his art and any would-be inspiration; then, he works with it as he sees fit. Rinse, repeat. That said, I don't think he's someone completely closed off to the concept of change - it's just that there's nothing and/or no one out there who is capable of making it worth his while. At this point in his life, it's more than likely an impossible task.

"I wonder what they think when they see me...." I ponder listlessly, mask in-hand as I watch my newest batch of actors scramble about their lives on the farmsteads below. They do not yet know of their involvement in the next act. But they would…. s̷o̷o̷n̷.

The abandoned tower loft upon which I'd made my temporary place of respite gives a perfect view of a quaint resource-heavy land considered by many to exemplify idealistic living conditions. I see it for the filth it is, however; a hopeless territory packed to the brim with fools who do nothing but serve as mindless pawns for entities or ideas that ultimately bear no meaning.

I loathe it—how they grovel and speak hollow platitudes to one another, day in and day out, just to sate a selfish need for complacency in lieu of seeing reality for what it truly is. 

So, what would they think? Nothing important—they never do. They're incapable of the processes required to bear the painful, beautiful inevitabilities of life & death. Ultimately, it matters not to one such as myself, for where their perceptions & actions are dictated by whomever they deem shepherd, I stand separated. E̷n̷l̷i̷g̷h̷t̷e̷n̷e̷d̷.

I am born to a higher cause invisible to most. I wear that burden with inimitable pride. Not a single soul could bear the weight of this grand duty, this…. captivating curse.

Yes…. The Art chooses the artist, as it were. Soon, this countryside will be brought to ̷t̷̷r̷a̷̷n̷̷s̷̷c̷̷e̷̷n̷̷d̷̷e̷̷n̷̷c̷̷e̷ by my hand alone. All will be made beautiful—and then I may finally witness this stage e̷x̷a̷c̷t̷l̷y̷ ̷a̷s̷ ̷i̷t̷ ̷w̷a̷s̷ ̷m̷e̷a̷n̷t̷ ̷t̷o̷ ̷b̷e̷.

Jhin's paintbrush clatters to the floor as the obnoxious question passes his ears; he wasn't one to startle easily but this specific brand of shrill audacity was enough to catch him off guard momentarily, "Tch.... who let this vociferous rat in here?" He taps his finger on the table four times as he turns to observe the trifling teal-tinted presence before descending briefly to reclaim his brush. Someone so vertically-challenged should hardly have a voice to reach his ears, yet there his words were, loud as if their bearer had an entire amphitheater watching. Alas, a performer such as this will never be suited to The Virtuoso's stage. "Shoo, rodent, shoo! You're disturbing an artist at work."

[THE LOVERS] - What do they consider to be the "perfect partner", be it romantic, platonic, alterous, etc.? Is there someone like that in their life?

Jhin doesn't care about other people unless they're useful for his art — as such, I believe the topic of a "perfect partner" means little to him. That said, he may have a desire deep within to be validated & accepted.... as a narcissist would. To expand on that: his art at its core is a power trip as much as it is a cry for attention amidst the void of low self-esteem we can perceive in various media about him. It's a way to "feel" — something he seems to only be capable of when he's carrying out his work. While one could interpret this as a potential way of expressing the emotions you & I are used to, I don't think that's the case. So for example, instead of a scenario like: "He includes {X character} in his art which is his way of expressing {Y emotion} toward them." I believe it's more like: "He includes {X character} in his art, performing (and/or invoking) {Y emotion}, which can then be used for {Z purpose} to garner praise/recognition/fear/etc." This is a man predisposed to having no need for social emotion in the first place, meaning his desires & intentions won't match up with what's "normal", especially given the delusions he hypes himself up on & how they dictate his every move. Essentially, the world is a box filled with props & ideas for Jhin's artwork — those he deems worthy of his stage will be afforded the same "affection" a painter grants his utensils.

[THE DEVIL] - Which of the capital vices is your muse tempted by? (Pride, Greed, Wrath, Envy, Lust, Gluttony, Sloth)

Pride with a hint of Sloth, easily! Pride is defined as "the quality of having an excessively high opinion of oneself or one's own importance". One of Jhin's primary motivators is a belief that his killings offer the victims an otherwise unobtainable form of "transcendence"; that if they die by his hand, they are truly blessed. He's spent long years deluding himself into a mindset wherein he can't be at fault due to the sheer drama & beauty of it all. As he sees it, the performance is separate from his identity.... which brings me to why I'd also tack Sloth on: Sloth is typically defined as "a failure to do things that one should do"; it's general apathy, laziness, etc. I believe this applies to Jhin at least a small amount for the sole fact that he elects to stay in his comfort zone despite knowing very well that his compulsions are bad. He's someone who wants to stop, but cannot find the strength to do so. He instead crafted delusions to validate himself, subsequently getting lost in a sea of his own lies until they became his truths. He's a coward at the end of the day; a man who distracts himself with a false notion of imparting a "greater good" upon the world so that he may never have to go through the stress of confronting himself.

𝔸𝔻ℝ𝔼ℕ𝔸𝕃𝕀ℕ𝔼♪; Nothing is real except me, my brush, my subject, and my artistic vision. It’s time to get to work—o̷̷i̷̷l̷ ̷o̷̷n̷ ̷c̷a̷̷n̷̷v̷a̷̷s̷.

First, the compositional sketch. A light hand will be utilized here in order to set the initial mood, for the calm must be inherently apparent as the storm approaches to challenge its serenity. Small beads of ̷c̷̷o̷̷l̷̷o̷̷r̷ form in the mind's eye as the artist conceptualizes his final palette.

Next, the initial layer of paint. Soft hues, big strokes. Coat thinly so as not to obscure more of the sketch than necessary. The background is realized—flesh-toned c̷a̷̷n̷̷v̷a̷̷s̷ contrasting beautifully with a rosy base coat that appears to exude from the ̷f̷a̷̷b̷̷r̷̷i̷̷c̷ itself.

After that, block in colors and solidify the vision. An artist must not be afraid to use a heavy hand in this step, for the values are what will make his vision complete come the final stage of this painting. Rich hues in varied saturations sweep strategically atop the background layer as the scene is finally brought into being. The c̷a̷̷n̷̷v̷a̷̷s̷ appears to ̷t̷̷w̷̷i̷̷s̷̷t̷ & ̷r̷̷u̷̷p̷̷t̷̷u̷̷r̷̷e̷ under the artist's b̷r̷u̷s̷h̷, his skill in turning the surreal, real is unparalleled.

Finally, it's time for fine detail. This piece is more on the abstract side, but the artist has deliberately placed his colors and shades to allow for a pop of realism in order to create a startling yet alluring contrast. Pictured is vivid volatility, textured and sharp—colors applied with a forceful hand so as to exemplify his stormy conviction. Next to it, we have cadaverous contrivance, blended and soft—colors delicately placed to convey a tranquil volition; idyllic, austere, unsettling.… ̷w̷a̷̷r̷̷m̷.

I place my brush down with a solemn exhale, my exposed skin weeping beads of sweat as I step back to witness my work, each exquisitely-placed brushstroke blooming in the depths of a desolate Piltovan alleyway, converting the uninspired setting into one worthy of an audience."I've done it again", I murmur to no one. ;♪ 𝔾ℝ𝔸𝕋𝕀𝔽𝕀𝔼𝔻
