The butterfly, the humming bird and semicolon , courage, never give up. All are beautiful reminders of choosing to live. My heart has been sad and the loss of friends brother to suicide has also reopened a wound of losing my husband to suicide and the other beautiful souls who chose to leave life by suicide. My heart aches and Rumi’s words came to mind. Dance, when your broken open. The first time I went to the top hat 4 years ago to watch a band. It was a good band and I danced with a guy who was a wonderful dancer and when we were done, listening to the band I was watching the lights and thought to myself " Id love to perform here one day".
