Shieldbug was my name from 2022 to the end of 2025, I came up with it randomly on the way home from the beach because I loveeee stinkbugs so much they're ao adorable!! And I thought shieldbug would be an awesome name, people could call me bug. My blog name is shieldbuge because shieldbug was taken 〒﹏〒 and Shieldbuge sounds very silly so yesssss

Should I count my own stories I'm writing as comfort media? If so, working on them always makes me distracted from my issues and just be consumed by torturing my lovely characters

Been absolutely obsessed with this song, and I've really been enjoying Machine Girl on general. The lyrics resonate with me a lot, being pushed by authority and people around you to be something you're not. Also as with most Machine girl songs, it's such a banger
I don't really care about anything that isn't my current novel. Even after starting antidepressants, I struggle to watch onto any new media. Not complaining though!
I have been playing a lot of infinitely replayable games; I guess you could count those as hyperfixations. Currently I'm dead set on Vampire Survivors, Mini Motorways and PvZ Heroes, but those barely have any story.
Also, insects. I've loved insects for as long as I can remember I'm so in love with them!!
Oddly specific things that bring me joy:
Drawing my ocs and it turning out actually decently
Seeing certain friends' art!! (Y'all are so talented <3)
Getting a surge of inspiration for writing
Looking androgynous and being hit with the gender euphoria!!
Changing my pfp to something cool
Being on a walk and finding a cool bug or flower and taking a thousand pictures of it
Bugs in general, I'm absolutely obsessed with them... I loveeee those little thingies they're so cuteeee
Also sloths for some reason
A little weird but I love the smell of the subway...
I don't really know how to describe it, it's just so satisfying to me. Whenever I go to the capital, I always make sure to take the subway at least once because I love the vibe and how it smells
I also really like the smell of newly applied wall paint, the smell of some detergents and cleaning materials, the smell of most nail polish, and also the smell of some basements. I guess I just have a thing for dusty underground places
Morning dove or Night owl?
Neither. I could be productive (or very unproductive) at any time of the day--but usually I'm the least productive around the late morning and noon. I've noticed that I work best in the early morning, around sunrise: from 4am to 8am. This is like on the border between morning and night person. I could either stay up to 4, or I could wake up at 4 to write.
