what she says: i'm fine
what she really means: James March killed queenie in the newest episode of hotel. first of all, that's not okay. and the whole coven better come back and kill everyone because queenie. and now the countess is dead (which she kind of deserves) and she has to spend eternity with James who she doesn't love. and James doesn't even deserve her. ms.evers is banished from James and all she did was love him. also not to mention Donovan died and he finally accepted iris as his mother. and next week is the finale. help.
âPretty much the same stuffâ he smiled letting out a chuckle. âYou up for listening to some or did you want to do something? Iâd like to get to know you betterâ
Violet smiled, pushing a small section of her brown her behind her ear. She stood up, walking over to her record player and putting in a Nirvana vinyl. As she walked back to Tate, she gave him a small smile.

He watched the other girl from the shadows. Biting his lip as she explored the basement where he used to live. Poking his head out a bit. He tilted his head and slowly crept out on her.Â
âWhat are you looking at?â He asked from behind her.
Violet explored the basement in the house her family had just moved in. The basement of the place seemed intriguing to her. His voice startled her just a little bit and caused her body to jump, just the slightest. She turned around to see someone, around the same age as her, maybe just a year or two older. âWhat the hell?â She asked, âWho are you?â
Raising a brow he smiled. âIâm your neighbor. I came in to meet your dad since heâs going to be my phycologistâŠâ He said looking around. âI used to live here⊠My names Tate. Nice to meet youâ
âOh..â Violet nodded, understanding him. âIâm Violet.â She told him, her lips forming a small smile. She started playing with the hem of her sleeves as her eyes began wondering around the basement, but in the end, they landed on him.
He smiled softly tilting his head. âSo how long ago did you move in? â he asked her raising a brow. âHow do you like the heat of California?â He chuckled.
Violet slowly returned him smile, softly. âWe just moved in earlier today..â She told him, nodding slightly, shrugged. âCaliforniaâs alright. I guess, itâs different from Boston..â
âBoston girl huh?â He smiled. âYouâll hate it here. Trust meâ he said with scratching the back of his head.
âoh really?â She wondered, âDo you hate it here?â She asked him, gently biting down on her bottom lip.
âOf courseâ he said with a laugh. âItâs awful hereâ he said giving a sigh.
âgreat.â Violet chuckled softly, then sighed. She hated having to move across the country. She had to drop everything and just leave because her parents wanted a âfresh startâ. It was bullshit. âwhy are you seeing my dad anyway?â She wondered, her eyes fixed on him.
âIâm not sure⊠My mom thinks itâll be good for my depressionâ he said fiddling with his thumbs. âAnd my addictionsâŠâ He mumbled softly.
âohâŠâ She said quietly, looking down and starting to play with the hems of her sleeves. âmy parents think I have depression too..â She muttered quietly, under her breath.
âWellâŠâ He said walking around her only to stop in front of her face. âI guess weâll be depressed together thenâŠâ He said giving her a soft smile.
She laughed quietly, looking up to seeing him standing in front of her. âI guess so..â She mumbled, returning his smile.
He tilted his head slightly. âThen how about we explore the rest of the house together? Yeah?â He said offering his hand to her.
Violet brightened her smile, taking his hand. âyeah.â She said, nodding. âit wonât be exploring for you though. only because you used to live here.â
âWell I havenât been in here in forever but sureâ he smiled taking her hand as he led her up the stares of the basement.
âHowâd you even get in here?â Violet asked, as she followed him up the basement stairs. she didnât think her parents would leave any of the doors unlocked.
âSadly your door was unlockedâ he chuckled. âI was going to introduce myself to your parents but they seemed to have been arguing with each otherâ
âYeahâŠâ Violet sighed, she knew that moving across the country wasnât going to solve anything. âHonestly, fighting is all they ever do now.â
âI can relate with you on thatâŠâ He said softly while leading her around the house. âThey fight and fight till they bring you in the middle of it all and your just so sick of itâŠâ
âExactlyâŠâ Violet stated, following him. âThey thought moving across the country would solve everything. Give us a âfresh startâ. It didnât do shit. Everything got worse.â She didnât think that her parents actually realized how much everything affected her.Â
âIt never does. They think youâll be fixed as soon as you start a newâ he sighed. âParents donât know shit when it comes to their kids. They just think they know everythingâŠâ
âThey donât.. But somehow they needed to drop everything and move out here, just because my dad cheated on my mom..â She mumbled, sighing.
âWell your dad sounds like a grade A assholeâ he said looking back at her. âMy mom dated an ass once⊠He doesnât bother her anymoreâŠâ He said with a serious look on his face before looking away.
Violet chuckled, âHe is.. Heâs a shithead..âShe muttered, furrowing her brows in confusion when he stared at her. There was definitely a story there but, she didnât ask. âAnd it was with one of his students.. My mom literally caught them in the act..â She added, shaking her head.Â
âIf your mom was mine heâd be dead by nowâ he chuckled before frowning softly. âHow is he still helping people? Since when do people keep their jobs after shit like that?â
Violet shrugged, âIâm not sure. He should be worrying about himself before he starts helping other people. I guess..â She furrowed her brows, chuckling softly,  as she mumbled, âAnd yeah, he is an asshole, but I wouldnât resort to killing him..â
âI think he needs help. Your mom deserves betterâ he said looking at her as they sat on the couch together. âWell then if you want to talk about we can or I can help you unpack?â He asked raising a brow.
Violet nodded, giving him a small smile. âSure.. I donât really have much to unpack though. maybe a couple of vinyls..â She admitted, raising her eyes to his.
âWhat do you listen to?â He asked raising his brows with a smile. âAny nirvana or anything good?â He asked scooting closer.
"Um. I like nirvana. also Morrissey, he's pretty cool. I like the kinks, a bunch of other stuff too." Violet told him, shrugging. "You?" She added.

"They don't.. But somehow they needed to drop everything and move out here, just because my dad cheated on my mom.." She mumbled, sighing.
@hauntedviolet
