Two sketches of a little what if. What if Virgil got fluxed/tainted. Heâd probably seek out Auri and scare the shit out of him thatâs what.
Now that's just silly, I'm not tainted! Ahahah.
Open RP - Afternoon Walk
The warm afternoon's rays were a comfort to the slightly upset Virgil. He'd recently injured himself in an incident which resulted from his Infusion Alter suddenly exploding for no reason. This of course had ended up severing one of his arms, and it would be fine and all except for two reasons: 1, he was out of Bonemeal thus he'd have to wait for it to grow back. 2, he was not ambidextrous. So he was going to have to play the waiting game until it either grew back or until his Roommate came back from where ever she'd gone off to.    The Grumpy Plantkin had gone on a walk along his favorite area within the Eastern Circle's territory. It felt safe but he was no fool, at least not a complete one. He knew anyone could be lurking in this land, be it a friend or a foe. If anything, Virgil prayed his luck hadn't failed him yet...Or rather, he prayed his lack of any luck wouldn't end him today.
[MOD: Poor Virgil's blog is falling into the shadows as most of my blogs do, so here's another rp in the hopes of keeping it going!]
I don't often draw that much, but I do like to sketch some people I know! Like Mr.Grumpy Otterbutt; Tainted Scarf Friend; Golem Building Buddy and Sasha!
I sketched these a while ago and forgot. Decided to finish them because come on, Virgil was adorable as a baby. A bit clueless of the dangers of being an infant Plantkin but hey! He had his older brother there to keep him and the rest of his siblings safe.
Some sapling photos! Oh and there's one with Big Brother Leo too! He used to say I was a tiny little weed when I was but a few days old, but I'm sure he's exaggerating greatly! After all how much trouble can a mere sapling cause?
"I know it seems strange, but it was all my choice.I still practice blood magic. Iâm determined to finish learning it."
"Ah, that makes sense I guess."
Alice takes a deep breath. âI was born into a Western Circle family. When I was of age, I was âgivenâ a area to study. The area was air and speed. But since my blood network is so strong, the extra blood makes itself into wings. But around a year ago, I finally saw how bad things where getting under the past leader. So I left and never went back. But I do still free lance.â
"I seeâŠ" He seems fascinated. He wasnât very good at socializing with people so heâd often be interested in how peculiar some of them were. No proper order like that of a plantâs. It seemed phenomenal, so this oddity didnât really bother him as much as it made him curious. "So they are made of actual blood, outside of your body?"
"In a way, yes. On my back are scars in the shape of wings. The scars glow red when my wings are out. And itâs all connected to my Archmageâs blood orb."
Virgil seems quite curious about this. So a descendant of Blood Mages who'd strayed from the path of the Western Circle. That was new, at least for him anyway... He'd always assumed magic flowed strongly in families, so the concept of one individual moving on to do something different was rather interesting.

"Hasn't your mother ever told you not to anger a carnivorous plantkin? She should have..."

Alice smiles. âSo am I. I tend to work with flux a lot through. Hence the flux slightly taking over.â
"It is alright, I have a friend whoâs considerably fluxy." Virgil chuckles. "I myself prefer dealing with the art of Artifice when it comes to the Thaumian magics." The plantkin seems to be ignoring the fact his own pet snake is now biting his neck. Instead he calmly talks with Alice as if this were normal. WellâŠAt least he wasnât on fire like usual. That would be embarrassing.
"The odd thing is that I most study alchemy. I also dabble in thaumaturgy.â Alice says calmly. âIâm just surprised you havenât asked about these.â
Aliceâs blood wings appear.
"Well, I know Iâm not exactly a common sight. Not many sentient plant people around here, so I didnât want to ask in case it was personal." He explains. "Those are quite fascinating howeverâŠ"
"I would have to disagree with the fascinating part. I donât really enjoy the reason I have them."
"Oh? And why is that, if you don't mind me asking?" Virgil questions, clearly curious about her wings.
Alice smiles. âSo am I. I tend to work with flux a lot through. Hence the flux slightly taking over.â

He looked at the crow for a bit, before nodding at her and the familiar. "I am not a fan of birds, but he seems like a good specimen." He comments before looking back at Brigid whoâs biting his arm. "Now nowâŠIâll feed you soon."
Alice looks slightly taken back. âExcuse me?â The taint glows a soft purple.
"Well, as a plant I do not appreciate birds pecking me." He explains. He still had nightmares of a flock of ravens swarming him and his brothers when he was younger. Why theyâd done so, Virgil had no idea. None of them were related to corn.
"Oh, Iâm sorry. I didnât know." Alice sends Circuits away. She adjusts her cloak. "What circle are you in?"
"It is fine." He says with a shrug before adjusting the snake that is now slithering up to his neck. "I am in the Eastern circle actually. And you?"
He looked at the crow for a bit, before nodding at her and the familiar. "I am not a fan of birds, but he seems like a good specimen." He comments before looking back at Brigid whoâs biting his arm. "Now nowâŠIâll feed you soon."

Virgil had searched everywhere he could think of: His bed; the chests; heck even in the bag where he kept all of his lovely flower seeds. Still he could not find the illusive rattle snake. Only recently had he noticed sheâd been gone. "Now where have you gotten yourselfâŠ
The snake in question is a rattle snake. Poisonous and clearly unappreciative of the attention the noisy crow is giving her. She reels back a bit before the tattle-tale rattling noise starts. Itâs a warning. Not too far from there, Virgil is walking around, looking for someone to question about Brigidâs whereabouts.
Alice hears the the rattle. âCircuits get back, thereâs a snake.â The taint on her face glows slightly. She pushes her wings downward to get off the ground. The crow follows her.
The commotion was just about noisy enough for Virgil to hear. He took one look from where he stood to actually see the airborn girl and her crow. He moved over, hoping theyâd at least seen his darling Brigid. "Hey! Excuse me miss!" he called out as he moved along, being careful as to not trip on his own legs.
Alice looks down. Her black cloak flowing behind her in the wind. âYes?â She calls down. Her blood wings flap to keep her in the air.
"You wouldnât happen to have seen a little rattle snake, would you?" Virgil asked as he craned his neck to look up at Alice. He is clearly not aware of the snake being close by, clearly pissed off at the crow that was now flying with itâs master.
Alice nods. She lowers her altitude slightly. âWhy yes, I have. Thereâs one a few fee to your left. It tried to attack my familiar, Circuits.â The crow swoops down to mach Aliceâs altitude. âWhatâs your name? Iâm curious to know.â
Virgil looked down and quickly distinguished the brown scales that were badly hidden in the green grass. He kneeled down to pick her up before answering. "My name is Virgil Dionaea." He replied while scooping up the poisonous snake.
Alice lands. The blood wings disappear. âHello Virgil. My name is Alice Veil.â
"Nice to meet you Miss Veil." He stands up properly, the rattle snake now wrapped around his arm. "Oh and this moody little darling is Brigid. I hope she hasnât caused any trouble." He motions at the snake which snaps at his fingers.
"Please call me Alice." She smiles as Circuits lands on her shoulder. "This is my familiar Circuits."
