Virginia knew that she was going to attend North Shore High School since sixth grade.
At that time, she was a pretentious young girl attending an elite private day school Connecticut. She knew she wanted to go to boarding school, because that is what all her Kennedy and Spade cousins had been doing. As much as she would miss her fathers, she wanted to go. And after learning of her family friend, Rhiannon Grimaldi applying to North Shore High, she decided to do the same the following year. Even before she first stepped foot on campus, she knew all about the Plastics and what it meant to be one. She knew she was going to be Head Plastic.
Ginny became a Plastic and loved every minute of it. She loved the attention that came from it and everything it stood for. And after Rhiannon passed the responsibility of Head Plastic down to her, she took it in stride. Sure, she hit some rough spots, but overall she fucking rocked it.
And when it came time to decide who would follow her, the answer seemed obvious. Cavitt Cousineau. She was not only one of Ginny’s best friends, but also the cousin of a past Head Plastic. She was haughty and pretentious, two things essential to being a Head Plastic, and she hated fraternizing with lower cliques.
The problem Ginny was faced with, however, was the fact that there were moments that Cavitt seemed to have a soft side that a Head Plastic should not. And of course, there was also Mona Page. Mona was snarky, intelligent and knew how to throw a verbal punch.
Knowing she had to be a level headed leader, she organized a competition. She told both Cavitt and Mona that they would be competing to see who would deserve the Head title.
Ginny watched as Mona teamed up with Ophelia while Cavitt worked solo. As Cavitt destroyed Courtney’s life. Courtney, who Ginny blamed for Rowe’s murder and hated more than anyone in the world. She watched as Mona, with Ophelia’s help rocked the fabric of the entire school, destroying several lives. She watched as Mona maintained a position in the spotlight, snarky as always, while Cavitt appeared to almost grow softer, disappearing without telling anyone where she was going for hours at a time.
Ginny made her choice. She pulled the runner-up in to her and told her first. She was gracious and while clearly upset, took the rejection like a lady, courteously and while still assuring she would be an active Plastic come fall.
Then Ginny called the rising Head Plastic in to her room. As soon as she entered the room, Ginny smiled, knowing she’d made the perfect decision. She could already picture the room she sat in redecorated in the rising Head’s decorations.
She grinned at her friend, ready to tell her the good news so she greeted her, “I have some good news for you Mona...”
I don’t know what you have against me. This was literally all I had left and now I have nothing. Fuck. You. I hope you honestly get hit by a bus, or a truck, or something equally as awful as you.
I’ve been a little busy with worrying about actually important things in my life for you to even be a blip on my radar. The senior project reveal is soon you know. Dedicated to Rowe and those other poor souls who were murdered.
