A teenage Typhlosion named Jason awoke to the sound of his alarm going off. He immediately got up, hit the ‘off’ button and got dressed in royal prince robes. He then left his quarters and walked to the dining hall. On the way he was stopped by a royal Typhlosion guard named Mike Shinoda who said “Jason!”
Jason stopped in his tracks and asked “What is it Mike?”
“Your father the king of Eldoria said for me to give you your allowance.”
Mike handed Jason $20 and Jason thanked him before heading to breakfast. Jason pondered what to buy while he ate and finally settled on a music album. After he finished eating, Jason took a friend of his named Steven Lewis and headed to the local CD shop.
Jason opened the door and went to the bargain bin to see what was in there and after digging around for a bit found an album with a winged soldier holding a flag. It read “Linkin Park Hybrid Theory” And Steven looked at Jason and asked “Linkin Park? Aren’t they a little rebellious?”
Jason replied “Rebellious huh? Looks like a perfect match for me. Did I ever tell you that I’ve decided to try rock music? Dad says it’s evil but I bet he’s scared of the lyrics speaking the truth.”
Steven smirked and said “Get it. Piss him off.”
Jason simply replied “Exactly.” And brought it to the cashier who said “Linkin Park? Great music. I love ‘One Step Closer.’” Before ringing it up and handing Jason a bag with his new album.
Jason walked back to the castle holding the bag and made it to his room without being stopped. He put it in his portable CD player and pressed ‘play’ as the first track hit in his headphones.
“Why does it feel like night today, something here’s not right today…”
Than suddenly the chorus hit with a different vocalist.
“It’s like I’m paranoid! Looking over my back! It’s like a whirlwind inside of my head!”
Jason suddenly found himself listening throughout the CD track by track until the final song. Jason said to himself “Rock music is evil huh? Well this evil I can live with.”
