When I draw Batman, I don’t really think about the billionaire superhero, revenge, or the villains. What keeps pulling me back is the world he lives in. The atmosphere. The noir aesthetic.

Batman brings together almost everything I love about art: bold graphic shapes and strong value design, striking silhouettes, dark moods, Gothic architecture, mystery, and an incredible cast of characters.

That’s why I keep coming back to draw him.

To celebrate release of new edition of my beloved GITS. My take on the characters from the 1995 film.

As much as I’ve enjoyed some of what Ghost in the Shell has become over the past 30 years, the character designs from the original movie will always be my favorite. Maybe it’s just imprinting… but I’m perfectly okay with that.

A few years back I made some Resident Evil packs with chibi versions of Jill and Leon. Now it’s finally Wesker’s turn — our favorite villain and his exploits!
