Venus Bay is in such a beautiful place to do some #fishing #diving #waterskiing #kayaking #snorkelling or just relaxing on a #whitesandybeach alongside the town #jetty. What a fantastic week in #Cairns we just had! #CairnsEsplanade is amazing! A must if you are visiting with #children. Spend the day at the Esplanade Swimming Lagoon it's the perfect way to soak up some sun, enjoy some safe swimming, meet some other families. Loads of #playground equipment- Even some where the kids can splash and cool off. Let’s talk winter boots!!! #Winter is here!!! Brrrrr!!! Trying to stick to my New Years resolution, which was to be as #minimalist as possible and make better decisions when it comes to buying new purchases. Also trying to be mindfull of buying good quality items, that are going to last the distance. instead of buying things for just a season. I need your help. I’m wanting to buy myself a good quality boot, that I can ideally wear out (dress up-to a degree😜) or just wear them around camp on the cold winters night. I originally wanted to buy myself a good pair of #uggs, but then I thought ... reality is, I’ll be walking in dewy type grass to get fire work for example... I need them to be waterproof or proper leather, to get the best wear out of them. What does everyone use as there go too #boot when travelling? I have had a pair of #Sorel before - great quality! Has anyone tried #duckfeetaustralia This is the first boot picture. These are my fav!!! However come with a hefty price tags of $440. What a spot! Beautiful little #camping ground right on the water. We managered to snag powered site 2, so we can spot the kids from our camp site playing in the playground. Winning! Coffee man starts up early in the morming, under the trees at the park around.. 6:30(-ish). Lots of walks and wildlife spotting..fishing, surfing ect. Within an ancient rainforest, step into the cool, crystal-clear water and drift with the current as you #explore life under the water’s surface. Watch #fish dart in and around the #river stones and keep your eyes out for the occasional #turtle. This #familyfriendly tour is the perfect way to stay cool in the hot tropics. A great introduction to #snorkelling before heading out to the reefs. Small children (and adults) can journey down the #river on large river sleds. An amazing eco-immersion #adventure thats different every time; Sometimes it’s fast and exciting, other times slow and relaxing. We were driven to a very private location along the #Mossman River were we were briefed about the tour and safety requirements. A small group of 7 with 2 guides gave the whole tour a very personal touch. We rafted down the Mossman through small rapids but enough to get your adrenalin pumping. A few of us fells off but I never felt in any danger. When we came to calmer waters we were given the chance to #snorkel. I have never snorkelled in a river before so it was nice to experience something different. The river was crystal clear and I spotted heaps of fish. The water was clean enough to drink and it tasted divine. We were then able to float on our back looking up at the #Daintree canopy. If you want a unbelievable experience off the beaten track and awesome value for money tours this is the one for you. Loved loved loved it. #LakeEacham is a popular lake of volcanic origin on the #AthertonTableland of #Queensland, #Australia, within the World Heritage listed #WetTropics of Queensland. Lake Eacham is a clear, blue lake surrounded by lush #rainforest. #Walking tracks through the rainforest provide secluded forest-fringed views of the #lake and excellent opportunities for viewing #wildlife. They have #turtles that breathe through their bottom! A #freshwater #crocodile is known to be present in Lake Eacham. No incidents have been reported in relation to this crocodile and humans.
