ruby hates getting drunk, prefers weed and of that prefers cbd tinctures.

she has a tarot deck that was gifted to her by sally on her thirteenth birthday, she has never opened it. it does speak to her though, she asked it if everette was a shithole + it replied with the tower card. her exact words: “sounds about right.”

if your muse is close to ruby they’ll find out about her room at the skyview hotel. it looks dreamy as hell despite being in a dilapidated building. she also has her bug collection there, they’re dead. but her favorite is a gold dragonfly.

she makes jokes about plagues, death, and infectious diseases / parasites a lot. it’s how she copes with living in everette.

she tried leaving everette once, she drove the same road west thinking she’d hit new york. she somehow got turned around and ended up back in everette. no one who is born in everette ever leaves. not really.

she doesn’t watch star wars or trek. 

she has a habit of sitting in the diner when pepper’s on shift and they talk about who in the diner is here to dump bodies, kill people, or who is just lost. they’re nice to the ones who are just lost.

when sally went missing, and the search had been officially called off. ruby defaced several buildings of businesses that belonged to members of the lodge. this was one founding reason that cctv became implemented by businesses in everette.

her favorite movie series is i spit on your grave, because she imagines revenge against the lodge with brutally violent ends.

her favorite flavor of slushie is blue raspberry. she hates how it stains her mouth, so she usually goes with cherry.

everette is a medium sized new england town, some might consider it a small city but given the fact it’s far away from civilization it definitely feels more bustling considering the dead. it feels... out of place, like, it’s definitely 2000′s era, but it feels like the eighties and nineties. it feels kind of like k-mart, nostalgic but in a wrong way. when you get into town, you don’t feel right. you don’t fit in, and you won’t. you’ll feel like eyes are on you, because they are, but you can’t find the source. it’s got that quaint new england town charm, but there’s something deeply unsettling in your bones. you can tell something terrible happened, but you’re not sure what.
