The Buccaneers (2023-) 2.05
the buccaneers increased the heterosexuality by like 150% this season and is giving the lesbians the same amount of screen time they had last season (which wasn't a lot)
the buccaneers season two already has the same issue for me as the first. that it's touted as this revolutionary new period drama about women and female friendship but it proceeds to a. centre white women and b. centre their romantic relationships with men. conchita and mabel are lucky if they get a scene per episode while nan, lizzy and their love interests take up all the space. it's not to say these storylines are bad, just that I don't think conchita or mabel are being given the equal story time they deserve considering the buccaneers is an ensemble drama – and while nan is the protagonist, I don't believe reducing the show to an overdone love triangle is necessarily the way to go about a female centric period drama when it's men are getting more story time and depth than their female ensemble.
the buccaneers is doing too much with the unnecessary heterosexual drama this season i fear
dr santos defenders RISE

santos is so kind.
YELLOWJACKETS 2.06 Qui / 3.09 How The Story Ends
Adult Van is annoyed by her younger self, doesn't want to engage with her because that's the version of herself she's buried. Teen Van did A Lot of Bad Shit to Survive and Adult Van wants nothing to do with that anymore, thank you.
But Teen Van is enamored with Adult Van. That's her. In the future. That's Van back in civilization, who survived all the horrors and got to be weird and gay. Got to watch The Goonies 100 more times.
For Adult Van, Teen Van is an awful reminder.
For Teen Van, Adult Van is hope.
Has anyone pointed out the parallel of Van’s teammates not pulling her from the fire in the plane crash but her surviving to Van pulling all her teammates from the fire’s smoke but dying
the pitt fandom wants santos to get humbled sooo bad and the show keeps telling them well no ❤️
A REBOA? Are you shitting me? Uncontrollable bleeding from her pelvic artery. No other options.
Have u ever watched gl thai series before?
i have not. i'm afraid i wouldn't be into it
so why has no one written any fic for santos/garcia the pitt? where is the crowd??
the most gut-wrenching viscerally upsetting line in the entire show is literally just van’s immediate, desperate, “i’m gonna try my mom!” not an emergency line, not even panic-dialing a 911 that wouldn’t work anyways. she’s a kid. she wants to call her mom.
one of the best decisions yellowjackets has ever made is reverting the women back into girls at their most vulnerable moments. shauna when she kills adam, nat laying her head in lottie's lap, misty seeing young natalie in the mirror, misty in the morgue seeing lottie because this truly hammers home that their lives stopped the moment that plane went down and that no matter how much time has passed by, they're still those teenage girls who were on their way to their football game and lost 19 months of their lives trying to survive.
