First Encounter

This was my submission for the PDF version of the @voltronmerzine last year - which got enough orders that it was upgraded and added to the physical printing too! :D And for an idea of scale for these varied species: Lance is… Lance sized, Pidge is Sendak sized, and cautious Hunk is Pidge sized lol. Alteans are Altean sized, naturally. I am enjoying super-sized protective but still curious Pidge. i’ll be adding a smol print of this to my Voltron Mystery Prints rotation soon, but you can get one now at the Seaborne extras sale!

If the land people had been horror stories, Acxa’s childhood memory spins the first time she crests through the broken, brilliant surface into a fairytale. It’s the gasp of too much air, the rattle in her gills, the sharp tang of—of a sense she didn’t know she had, the vivid taste of salt on her tongue. The flash of an even blue wall up above, unblemished by any scratches of other colors, so solid that Acxa reaches out for it through the hacking cough wrecking her lungs, before her mama drags her back into the water.

Oh wow, I can finally post this.

This was my piece done for the @voltronmerzine. It’s an absolute monster of a zine! More like a large novel. So many fantastic pieces in there and I am thrilled to be a part of it.

I was pretty lucky to be able to create the cover for Seaborne @voltronmerzine . This here is the big version! I got to work with an amazing group of people, and the end result was a Zine that was a massive success.
