Oh dear, he’s hungry. He sets his bag down, digging through the berries and ethers-

Huh?

Where are the apples?

Did he forget them?

No! But he can’t continue when this hungry! He whines before sniffing about, trying to find something else to eat.

A few ear twitches before leaping right in, holding bag close to his belly as he falls to the ground below. With so many missions, he’s split up from Alice and Scorch so they can help more Pokemon faster.

Alright, so he’s looking for what Pokemon again? A quick check of a paper covered in paw prints reminds the rescue team member he’s looking for a Clefairy separated from his mother Clefable.

“Pika pikaaaaa!”

Someone’s an adorable Pikachu once again.

He’s not sure how the whole human thing happened, but it’s so great to be going on rescue missions again.

And right on time, the cold can be deadly to non-ice types!

Dark Pit looked to be thinking about the scenario, looking down at the glitter, “Are you sure this is normal glitter, Pit?”

In his mind, there was only two possibilities, either Pikachu had been affected by some sort of power, or this was always possible for the now-human. He didn’t know which it was, though, and neither did either of the other two by looking at them.

He stopped when he felt his bruised stomach rumble slightly, acting like it wasn’t a big issue. And compared to Pikachu’s freak-out, it wasn’t.

Pikachu was freaking out and Pit knows that’s not good so the once-a-pokemon is pulled against the angel’s chest, fluffy wings blocking out light and sound other than their heartbeats and breathing.

“Again? Deep breaths Pikachu,we’ll figure it out. Just try to calm down for a moment.”

Petting the panicky teen and looking up at his double, the angel frowns.

“I’m not sure anything in this mansion is normal but it looked like regular old arts and crafts glitter. Master Hand might know what happened.”

A light squeak. The hug wasn’t exactly expected, but he wasn’t complaining. All he could really do was follow the angel’s instructions while trying to make sense of everything.

Okay, so he was somehow human. He’d sacrificed being human before, choosing instead to remain with Scorch and Alice to run the rescue team with them. He’d accepted the hand’s offer thinking he’d always be a Pikachu. He barely even went by Gold now.

“... Did something happen to my trophy in Subspace...?” He’d been in for a long time. And it wasn’t impossible. Lucas has lost his sight due to his trophy being in Subspace too long.

Dark Pit relaxed slightly as he realized that the match was over, looking over to the mouse with a small smirk. He had to give Pikachu credit, he was one of the best fights that the angel had in a while. And if everyone else here would be like that, then he was in for a good time.

“Good match…Pikachu.” He said to the mouse, the battle having satisfied his urge for revenge against him. He was being kinder than normal, but the battle was good.

“Pika!” A brisk nod, followed by an offered paw for a handshake. It had been a good fight. Gold looked forward to future battles with this Pit copy, their first had been simply incredible.

He held up a paw before running off, returning with an apple and offering it. Dark Pit had won, fair and square. If he wanted an apple, then that would be the reward that the mouse would give him.

“Wait…” Dark Pit stopped to think about it, “You’re saying you’re the rodent that I fought earlier.” He pointed at Gold, then at Pit, “And you’re saying that you didn’t know this?”

Dark Pit looked between the two, then sighed, “Only you would think to put glitter into water, Pit. Also, it’s the door to the kitchen, and I don’t play pranks.”

Wow, the person that the prank was intended for was the calmest person in this scenario.

And from how it looks Pikachu wasn’t expecting to be human right now either. The angel sighs, forgetting the failed prank to focus on the suddenly human Pokemon.

“Are you okay Pikachu? I didn’t think water could do this, or was it the glitter?”

“To be honest, I wasn’t ever expecting to be like this again!” He’s patting his cheeks, mind doing all sorts of flips and tumbles over the information he’s getting. He’d been told he’d never be human again. He’d given up his one chance to be human to continue running his team with his friend Scorch.

Man he misses being a Pikachu already, he wants to spark and let off some of the pent up energy his confusion and panic are producing. He swallows and looks up at the two.

“I have no idea what’s going on here!”

However, Dark Pit had been shocked before the match had started, and having a shock like that would have affected his fighting a bit. Normally he would have more stamina.

Dark Pit held in his visible anger, although Pikachu could tell that it had affected him in some way as another shot of adrenaline ran through him. It was enough for him to go and rush towards the electric mouse as his Electro Arm came out, ready to hit him.

Maybe a taunt hadn’t been a wise idea. The attack hit and sent the mouse flying, the older Smasher realizing that even if he used a quick attack he wouldn’t be able to reach the platform. He still tried though, pawing at air before plummeting to the ground below.

Yeah, taunting hadn’t been wise. It had been funny, but not wise. Worth it, but not wise. As the match ended he shook out his fur, laughing at just how great it had felt to get in a fight after so long.

“Kachu!”

He considered not coming out, but somehow his dark reflection knew it had been him. Upon coming out and seeing the mess he’d made he actually freezes in confusion.

“Okay two questions. How did you know it was me? And who are you?”

The first question he directed at the other angel but the second was for the glitter soaked boy. Pit had met all the smashers that had been in the tournament, and didn’t recognize this one. Was he a new recruit like Pittoo?

Huh? Did Pit not recognize him? Granted when they had all teamed up it had been late in the adventure, but Gold had recognized Pit when he spotted him! And how hard was is to recognize a Pikachu?

“Pikachu!” Wait, something about the way that came out seemed off. Fingers touched his lips-

Wait, fingers? Not paws?

“!?” Yes, those were fingers and legs wearing jeans and shoes that were not furry paws. It was the morning of waking up as a Pikachu all over again, except reversed.

“What... I... ARCEUS WHAT?”

Dark Pit let the orbiters fade as he stepped in the direction that Pikachu had come from, hitting the ground near the opposite edge of the stage when the lightning hit him. He got up after a second and went to dash towards the rodent, going to slash it with the blades before it could move away from the edge.

He knew that he wouldn’t be able to last much longer, he had underestimated his opponent this time.

Tired already? Man, this new Smash was going to have to build up his endurance. Fights could go on for hours if the Smashers were having a good day.

Though the blades did meet their make and made the rodent go flying. The electric type barely reached the platform after a quick attack, paws clinging to the edge as he pushed himself back up and kicked with his hind legs. Grinning he rolled on the ground, stretching before leaping back to his feet.

Taunting was fun and guaranteed to piss people off!

Dark Pit predictably jumped over the energy like Gold had predicted, however he almost immediately crouched and went to use his orbitars to shield himself from any attacks following the electricity that was going to make its way around the edge of the stage. He had a hunch that the energy wasn’t all that Pikachu had planned.

Clever! Very clever! The mouse yelped as his head collided with the shield, crashing and rolling on the ground. Quickly he looked the other over, eyes narrowed. Well now. Protection from both sides.

But not underneath.

He dashed forwards, sliding under one of the orbitars and summoning lightning from the clouds above again. “Pika!”

He wasn’t misbehaving! This is a lesson in having a good time! Besides, his other hadn’t been here very long, might as well show him what kind of party Smash Mansion was.

So maybe it’s a cliche prank to stick a water bucket above a doorway. So Pit added his own little flair and threw two whole packs of glitter in it. Good luck washing that out of feathers!

Trap set, he runs off to hide. It’s safer to be at a distance with things like this.

What a great time to be a Pikachu! Missions for the local Pokemon handled, a new rival discovered, a belly full of apples. The best way to finish this day off would be to set up a prank for some poor unsuspecting fool!

The mouse pulled a bucket out of the kitchen cabinet, filling it with water before waddling with it grasped firmly in his front paws. Sure it was a cliched prank. But it was a classic and a perfect way to start things up. Carefully he set the bucket down and moved to open his chosen door-

Only for the tables to turn on him as a completely different bucket poured its entire contents on him. For a brief moment something felt... strange, but it was lost in his shock and surprise.

“Wha! What the hell!?”

And Pikachu was right in his calculations, however, what he forgot to calculate in was the fact that Dark Pit was an angel. Even if he had lost the ability to fly when Pandora had revived, he still had enough power to grab the edge of the stage and pull himself up.

“Nice try…” The angel smirked as he went to shoot an arrow at Pikachu before he could get close. He didn’t seem to have many far-ranged attacks that Dark Pit could see.

The arrow knocked Gold back, paws once more skidding on the ground. So the wings weren’t just for show. Like Pit’s they had enough power to do limited flight. Though this lookalike seemed a lot more aggressive and his attacks had a lot of punch to them!

He shot out another bolt of electricity, the blue ball of energy hopping across the field towards Dark Pit. Once the angel took to the sky, Gold would leap up and headbutt him in the stomach. That was the plan after all.
