We have been waiting for a while, but MICHELE VO was finally spotted in the village today. People heard whispers that she is a SHADOWHUNTER that is hellbent on [ fixing ] the veils. Will she succeed? Only time can tell. Until then we will keep a close eye on her as she listens to âTHIS IS THE HUNT" by RUELLE and searches for her PARABATAI.
~ THE BIOGRAPHY ~
Although she was born in Vietnam, Michele Vo spent most of her life at the London Institute, training to be a Shadowhunter. Being the daughter of Shadowhunters, who were children of Shadowhunters, and so on and so forth for hundreds of years, Michele took great pride in her heritage, and threw herself into her training, eager to prove herself worthy of her parents high expectations; to meet them and surpass them. With no siblings, she alone carried the weight of her ancestorsâ legacy. Her end goal: to become head of the London Institute one day.
She was fully prepared to reach this goal on her own, but on her fifteenth birthday, her parents told her theyâd arranged for her to have a parabatai. Michele was not on board with this. She didnât want anyone slowing her down, and she saw having a parabatai to be more of a weakness than a strength. But apparently their parents believed she could learn better to work with others, so she reluctantly began training with their chosen Shadowhunter.
During their paired training, she took note of her partnerâs skill, and once they were out in the field, she realized that maybe having a parabatai to back her up wasnât too bad. It definitely made hunts easier and more efficient.
Eventually, she came to respect her parabataiâs fighting spirit; when it worked in their favor, it worked really well. She learned how to utilize it, and in doing so, she slowly began to care about them, as well. She wasnât expecting it, but she accepted it, and soon she saw their potential to become a real kickass duo.
During this time, her mom got pregnant again, giving birth to twin boys. She immediately felt more pressure to keep her status as the golden child, afraid her parents would turn to her brothers to carry on the family legacy. She wanted to hate her new siblings, but when she met them, she couldnât help but fall in love with them, not being as hard-hearted as she comes across sometimes. This only increased her inner turmoil, though, and with no one else to turn to to talk about it, she began to confide in her parabatai
It felt weird at first, but they didnât push her away, and slowly their trust grew to include their personal lives, as well. Eventually, that trust turned into care.
They took their oath in front of the Council shortly after their eighteenth birthdays, and theyâve been nearly inseparable ever since. Unfortunately, they were recently separated on a hunt. The last Michele heard was that theyâd disappeared in Wildemount. She came here to search for them, and then got stuck as the dome came down.
Eventually, Michele found her parabatai, Imogen Tavares. Unfortunately, she lost her recently, due to Imogen being bitten and turned by a vampire, leaving town soon after. Michele doesnât know what to do with herself now, having lost the most important person in her life.
