Hello everybody. It has been a very long time since I have logged on and I’m not exactly sure who is still here. As much as I have enjoyed my years as part of the tumblr RP community, my time away from it, and tumblr, has given me a chance to breathe and not stress over silly little things that were beginning to wear me down every time I came on. Considering that, I think it best that I leave the RP community.

I sincerely apologize for any threads/plots that may have been dropped. If you ever wish to write/plot or simply want to talk, you may find me over at Skype under the username: kusilau. I have not logged on it much, due to work and other matters, so please do not think that I am ever ignoring you. Should you add me, please let me know who you are/what your url is.

You may also find me on my personal at leonardsmccoy, but that is usually on a queue, and has been dry for some time now.

Question: does anybody have advice for when you feel out of touch with your writing and can’t find any energy/inspiration to write anything? Like I’ll look at my old writing and see myself, but I feel as if my current writing isn’t mine anymore, as if it’s too technical and not breathing.

‘ oh …’ a coy smile forms upon her lips, albeit a brief. she seems to be enjoying teasing this older man, whoever he is. and though he is merely feeding the birds, a seemingly neutral action, she cannot help but feel that air around him.

she continues to stare at him, head tilted to one side. her words can be described as ‘rude’, ‘blunt’, but, they are the truth, and sometimes, they are compliments too. ‘ I meant it as a compliment. ‘ a pause, look at the birds he is feeding. ‘ it’s an odd sight to see a man clad in a rather expensive suit… to be feeding birds, you see. ‘

He mumbles something along the lines of ‘that being an INTERESTING compliment’ under his breath and proceeds to throw bird food at the gathering pigeons. Roy’s attempts, however, end up scaring the birds off due to a rougher hand, something the pigeons did not seem to enjoy; he swears they are COOING angrily at him, if possible. As they scatter, he watches them fly off, his last bit of peace and quiet for the day tucked underneath their wings. So much for waking up early for a bit of leisure time.

Bag tucked away, he turns to her, face pulled tight to a look of exasperation. There’s a sharp retort leaning over on the very tip of his tongue, but he holds it off for once. “I like to feed the birds on my way to WORK. Satisfied?”

Iruka looks at the shelf of bonsai, and the revelation hits him like a wave. "That's /perfect/!" he says, clearly delighted. "Roy, you're a /genius/. Please pick a nice one, then. I leave it to you."

“Wait -- ”

The task at hand, at first, seems innocent enough, but Roy isn’t all too sure of Iruka’s definition of ‘nice.’ After all, this is the same man who had walked into a flower shop and left with what would be as aesthetically pleasing as a bunch of chopped leaves stitched together. Their versions of ‘nice’ just didn’t overlap, to put it simply.

“Nice as in nice or in nice?”

He had been tasked with arranging the display of flowers, a mission that he would do his best to carry out. To move everything around so that the store looked fresh, fingers delicately pull at the stems so that they be moved to a new location.

A smile is painted on his expression, as bright as the sunny day outside. His voice, like the birds tweeting away, he hums a song to himself, making the workload that much easier on himself. He found that things go by quicker if you preoccupy yourself with a tune.

It’s then does he notice his boss (also the owner of the store) from the corner of his eye. He halts in his tune, elated sounds leaving him as he spoke, ❝ I’m almost finished up here, sir, ❞ he addresses him with respect, ❝ Is there anything you’d like me to do after this? ❞

The last few days had been a mess; what with wedding arrangements, birthday presents, and prom corsages all tossed into one big horrible pot ( all, begrudgingly, due to his poor planning and time management ). It was beginning to get to him, it really was, if that wasn’t apparent by the way his appearance became increasing disheveled each day he came downstairs from his suite to open up. In fact, there was even a suspicion as to whether or not Roy even bothered to get dressed at all, t-shirt and jeans dutifully covered by a colorfully patterned apron each and every day.

( Kain had pointed that out earlier in the week. He was taken off the schedule for the next month )

“Why are you humming? There’s nothing to hum about,” came his reply from above the rim of a stained coffee mug. He glanced at the young man’s handiwork and let out an approving grunt of acknowledgement. Any other day might’ve gotten a compliment out of him, but today was not one of those days.

“I need your help in positioning one of the arrangements for the wedding. Apparently, the customer wasn’t kidding when she said that she wanted it to be in the shape of a giant dragon.” Leaning down, he tucked away a stray vine of ivy. “Remind me why I decided to take on that project, again.”

“Well, well– well.”

Tone is not condescending in nature, but the hint of mirth is drowned out by something more. It had been a long time since his friend had dared to stop by the his office, for business or otherwise. Files was pushed aside as hand gesture welcomes the man in.

He doesn’t honestly feel the need to get up to greet him, regardless of the other’s title. It was a formality anyways. They had know each other long enough to push such formalities aside, unless there was a job that needed to be handled.

“I was wondering when you would decide to drop by.” A pause, punctuated with a laugh, “Has your new job been keeping you busy?”

“Hey -- ” A parcel is delivered onto the other man’s desk, the thin rectangular package tied up with a pink ribbon patterned by white polka dots. Inside is a collection of delightfully decorated chocolates he had selected from a chocolatier on his way over. “I come by bearing gifts and here you are attacking me. You hurt me, Maes.”

He doesn’t sit just yet, instead, taking the chance to look around the office that he’s found himself visiting for the first time in so long. All the lived-in details and embellishments are all there and his gaze lingers on each of them in nostalgic fondness. Inside, he feels a tug of regret, even though he knows that Maes understands the strong grip of work and duty, it still doesn’t lessen the feeling of guilt from not keeping in touch with his best friend.

“Something like that,” he replies, pulling a chair out and comfortably settling himself upon it. Roy leans forward and plucks at a crumpled ball of paper on the other man’s desk, playing with it as he spoke. “Hawkeye has been trying to increase productivity in the office -- by the way, it is exactly what you think it is -- but each time I even look at a sheet of paper, I fall asleep.”

He aims the ball at Maes, tosses it, and watches it bounce right off his chest. “But nothing else is different. Shiny title, same old responsibilities, if not more. Any exciting news on your end to tell me? How are Gracia and Elicia doing?”

Hello! Sorry for my disappearance from here and Skype. I’ve started a new full-time job -- also...currently looking into switching to another with better benefits -- and have been spending my free time vegetating and watching Inuyasha. The clinic is closed this entire week, so hopefully I can squeeze some drafts in. If you recently replied, could you let me know either by replying to this or messaging me? My activity feed has been poop.

On another note, I’m tempted to reboot a blog as a side-blog! Does anybody have experience with this? How is it overall? It is for an entirely different fandom, so I do worry about keeping track of people. I plan on making it mostly for plotted/longer interactions, however.
