Alex woke up about 6 hours later and looked around confused and scared. She felt covers over her body and pillows she hadn’t felt that in over a year. She racked her brain for what could be going on. Then suddenly a door opened and light streamed in. Alex pushed herself against the bed frame. Dean walked in and saw the state his sister was in.
“Alex.” He said walking to the bed
“Get away from me!” Alex screamed causing Sam and Cas to run in
“Go away all of you! You’re not real go away!” Alex sobbed tired of Lucifer’s tricks
“Alex this isn’t a trick.” Sam said holding his hands up.
“Alex please.” Cas begged desperate for her to calm down.
“Cas?” Alex asked unsure
“Yes its me.”
Alex finally calmed down enough to talk.
“I thought you’d never come. Why’d you leave me for so long? It been over a year!”
“I’m sorry Alex it’s only been three days here we came as quick as we could.” Dean said guiltily
“Do you need anything?” Sam asked
“May I have some water please?” Alex asked
“Of course.” Cas answered
Sam and Dean walked out of the room while Cas stayed with her.
“Sam what did he do to her?”
“I don’t know dean.”
“Should we ask her?”
“No she’ll talk when she wants I mean she’s just got out and who knows what he’s been putting in her head. You heard how he told her we weren’t coming and it seems she believed him.”
“A year Sammy a whole damn year.”
Sam sighed and got Alex some water and grabbed some crackers also.
Sam and Dean came in and handed the crackers and water to Alex. She jumped back as Sam came up and handed it to her. Still pressing herself into the bed frame. Sam looked at her sadly tears brimming his eyes.
“We won’t hurt you I promise.” Sam said softly
Alex just nodded her head part of her knew they wouldn’t but she wanted to stay safe and this could be a trick or a dream. But the way Cas looked at her she knew it had to be real. Lucifer didn’t know of their relationship it was a widely hidden fact only her Cas and the brothers knew. Every time someone moved Alex flinched away. Sam and Dean eventually went to bed for the night though they didn’t really sleep.
“Alex I’m here for you i promise and he’ll never hurt you again.” Cas said
“Thanks.” Alex replied weakly
“You don’t believe me?”
“I I want to I’m just scared.”
“May I ask what happened?”
“What do you think happened!” Alex let out a bitter laugh
“I’m sorry.”
“Yeah me too.”
