Rooms is a Vancouver-based production that produces ethereal, relatable and top-notch music. This album features crisp production, nostalgic vocal refrains, and a mixture of traditional drums and electronic step-sequenced style beats. ThisRead More...
Come chill with me as I chat with Beshele from Vancouver about her main project Rooms. We spin some unreleased music coming off of her upcoming album (out December 11th) and share the meaning behind some of her songs. We also play and talk about both of her sister's projects, Underpass and Kathleen Lockhart. To add your favourite songs from the episode check out the playlist on Spotify.I do not own any of the rights to the music played or used. All copyright is to the respected artists.

Witch-hunt Gossip has always been a secret language of friendship and resistance between women. By Hannah Black
“I began this account of the gossip with her enemies to show how important her speech has been, although it is mocked as trivial. Hatred of gossip is hatred of women talking to each other – it is generally women who do this work of love. When we gossip, we share vital information: this one is sad, this one is in love, this one is dangerous. In most families, news of birth, death, failure and achievement travels through the women. Communities of gossips nurse each other through the degradations that partners, bosses and families inflict on us. Without the love of gossips, most of us would be either dead or dead inside. § “

According to a concerned neighbour, 4497 West 5th Ave. was sold in July 2016 and has been sitting empty since Sept. ’16. Why is this beautiful family home still sitting empty?

And I’m sure that if they were here today, these witches would be doing a lot more than striking a pose, they’d be busy protesting our dying forests, fighting the polluting of our waters, and protecting the planet. I like to think they might even have been part of The Women’s International Terrorist Conspiracy from Hell or W.I.T.C.H. a radical feminist protest group whose manifesto stated witches “were the original guerrillas and resistance fighters against oppression — particularly the oppression of women — down through the ages.”

"In a Vice essay titled “The Year in Male Tears,” writer Chelsea Summers defined modern misandry not as a hatred of men, but as “a seething rage against patriarchal power” and declared 2014 “the year misandry became chic.” It was the year feminists agreed that “dick is abundant and low value” and that male tears made the best moisturizer. "
