Tips on making Visual Media like a pro
There are limitations to be observed when giving information through visual media so that it will be valid and reliable.
1. THE LANGUAGE
The language should be appropriate to the audience so that there will be no confusion, if not possible, subtitles can be an alternative.
2. AGE APPROPRIATENESS
The visual should be age appropriate to the viewers. It's because they may have other interpretation of things and won't understand it and some scenes/visuals may not be suitable for their age. Also, highfalutin words should be observed when making a visual media for your audience.
3. High quality
Don't choose low quality or pixelated pictures to use for your visual media and also, when uploading or importing your visual media, you should choose the highest quality possible for this may lessen the interest of your viewers.
4. Eye catching
A visual media should always be eye catching whether it is eye catching in the type face...
or the font size...
or even the contrasting of colors
because this can increase the interest of your viewers. Take note that when making a visual media that is catchy to the eyes of the viewers, you must also be aware of where you’ll be presenting it or if it is appropriate to put designs and layouts to your visual media.
But, what is the relation of all these to our field (ABM)?
First and foremost, visual media is a degree or work in fields such as graphic designer, exhibit designer, advertising, publishing and many more. These fields of visual media utilize various forms of communication about their ideas to aim the desired audiences. Especially in today’s generation, with the help of modern technology, a lot of visual artists know how to use or create visual images that helps the public to communicate with each other. The words that are used according to a specific field or group which is difficult for others to understand are called jargons. Therefore, in terms of being an ABM (Accountancy, and business management) student, jargons are used in various works like entrepreneurs, accountants, managers, CPA lawyers, businessman/businesswoman and many more. These works utilize various forms of communications through their words in a way that other fields can’t understand the terms that they are using. Also, another form of communication is their way of thinking about money and organizing ideas to put up a successful plan for their business and with the help of flowery words and a charismatic personality, they get investors and clients which helps the business grow.
