Keep this in mind: If the worst happens and you, or someone you care about, is in the hospital following a rape or rape attempt, ASK FOR AN ADVOCATE and/or a SAFE nurse. (SAFE stands for something, I forget what.) The policies differ from state to state, but in New York City at least, you should be entitled to an advocate. ASK FOR AN ADVOCATE. Someone can sit there with you during questioning from the police and tell them to back the fuck off when they do this. I’ve volunteered as an advocate and nothing gets me off more than telling some 22 year old fuckboy cop to back off from my survivor as she tells her story. Your advocate will explain things to you, will hold you hand if you want, try to get you snacks or water if it’s appropriate, and stand up for you to cops, doctors, and whoever else might try to get in your face. Advocates are amazing. (And if you are reading this thinking you might like to be one, look into it! There are many advocacy groups out there for survivors of rape and IPV. In NYC, you can try SAVI but there are others.)

Quick stop whatever you’re doing and read this! Time to Drag Up for charity!

Hey everyone! I was asked by my cousin Chubbs to help with this charity thing he’s helping putting together for June 20th. It’s a Fundraiser event for a at-risk lgbt youth group and it’s involving a drag show. All proceeds from the tickets and any donations will all go to the group to help with their cause and improving their community center that runs it.

Anyway, since Chubbs isn’t really as socially active as I am (obviously) I told him I’d help get the word out! This is for both Drag Kings AND Queens so nobody is excluded. If you’re interested please let me know asap since we will need you to come in and meet with the coordinators to get their approval for you to be in the show. (I don’t think they’re gonna be too -super- picky though since it’s for charity, but still, bring your A-game just in case, folks!)

I will of course be participating in the show so prepare yourself to see me rock a steller set of heels ;D

But yeah, that’s all for now. Let me know if you’re interested! Even if just to come watch the show since there’s only so many tickets being sold due to venue size so the earlier you get yours the better! Tickets are $25 a person.

Day 14 - Genderbent Female Monster

Went with my OC Yukito, who is exactly that seeing as how Barbed Haired Woman is…well, a woman.

He’s a (very) short gyaru-o who doesn’t take sass and throws shade like it’s a competitive sport.

I also think I will be tapping out on the 30 day monster boys, I am rapidly losing interest in the list of prompts.

27: Meaning behind my URL - For those of you who don’t know, I’m a walking radioactive disaster. Chernobyl was one of the worst radiation disasters in history. Chic means stylish. so…stylish radioactive disaster…. sounds like it fits me.

32: Someone I love - I love all my friends… but if you’re talking about romantic love…he knows who he is. hint: it’s wandering-barb

43: How long does it take me to get ready in the morning? - Oh my goth it takes forever for me to get ready in the morning. I don’t sleep with my filter on so as soon as I wake up it’s a mad rush and get plugged in for the day. the only way around this is if I sleep in my isolation tank and it gets cramped in there so I try to avoid it unless I’m having a bad radiation spike that day. then I have to take a pharmacy of medications, eat breakfast, shower, brush my teeth, shave - pretty normal teen stuff and then I slow back down again getting dressed because I have to attach my dread falls, accessorize my outfit and put on some eye make up if I’m feeling fancy that day… I’m pretty sure most ghouls get ready faster than I do in the morning.
