Hello Little Monsters! I am interrupting Pride postings to bring you this special and important announcement! @curvygirlsdolls is a line of dolls made of curvy girls by curvy girls! they were kind enough to send me their press kit for promotion and I am just in love with their brand!

I, Your humble Monster Haus admin, Jess. am not articulate enough to properly emphasis how important these dolls are to not just kids but adult collectors and society in general! but they will add diversity to ANY doll line up for many, many reasons! not just their size but who they are as characters! These women are powerful! fashionable! modern! and innovative! I could go on is what I am saying.

But they need funding! and they need it bad! if they don’t hit their goal the dolls won’t go into production! there’s 2 weeks left of their kickstarter and we need to get them out there and go viral! Please! I urge you to give what you can! I myself have made a pledge to them because I believe in this line with all my heart!

If you are unable to donate surely you know someone who can! please reblog this post! or a post directly from @curvygirlsdolls ! send their page to your friends! family! any plus size influencers who you think would love to promote them! we need all hands on deck my dears! this is not a drill!

Why am I so passionate about this? well, I want more body types in my doll collection for one thing, everyone being thin or muscular is very boring to me, makes for an uninspired cast. but it’s deeper than that, I myself am a curvy girl.

and I have lived my life without any dolls who look like me, feeling like you don’t belong is never a good feeling, it wasn’t fun as a kid playing with all my dolls that had idealized bodies and it’s still not fun now. I shouldn’t have been made to feel like I was wrong for what I am, no one should! and with dolls like these out there for kids to see themselves in we are one step closer to a world where no kid ever feels that way again!

The curvy Barbie is nice, I love her & have a lot of them but she isn’t plus size, she’s average which is great in it’s own right but we need dolls that are undeniably fat, chunky, plump, chubby, thicc … whatever you wanna call it so that little curvy kids don’t grow up hating themselves, like I did. as an adult I am finally proud of of the body I have but seeing dolls and representation like this would have made that process go SO much faster! @curvygirlsdolls phrased this perfectly on their facebook page. Curvy Barbie is cute! but she is not an accurate representation of the plus size population.

I spent hours sculpting and dressing the perfect Oxford Sim so that I could have my baby boy live his best life. However, I had an error and I had to restart my game without saving so I lost all my progress on Ox and had to build him again from scratch and I was so EXHAUSTED from the first try that I have yet to remake him.

So please enjoy these screenshots of Ox while I was making him and assembling his outfits because it is all that remains of the first Ox. I will rebuild him! with better hair and fashion! but for now I was really proud of this version of him! Ox’s face is so distinct and Sims 4 has excellent customization qualities (not as good as 3 though) but I digress! Unfortunately Cyber Goth fashion isn’t as popular as it was when I first designed Ox so finding custom content that fits his aesthetic was a task! I had to evolve with the times and tried to find things he’d wear that is currently en vogue. I got to keep stuff that makes Ox, himself like his color pallet and his — I don’t know if I’d call it style, but I lost some important details like his cut out tops, arm tape, head goggles and stuff that only Ox would find fashionable. I don’t have any mesh tops that work for him and I’m too stupid to make my own so I opted for tattooed sleeves so his arms don’t look so naked and I kind of dig it? Maybe the future brings a heavily tattooed Ox when he’s an adult. Being a super hero is hard work, unwind with body art!

I kinda phoned it in on a few of these outfits before going on a mass download spree to get new fashions, accessories and hair styles! I already Rebuilt a new Ox (but only made him one outfit because I was SO tired) but I’m pretty pleased with how his face came out, you can see Ox 4.0 on an earlier post about my sims shenanigans here.

I hope you enjoy seeing his big dumb face as much as I had fun making him!
