I really need to reflect myself.

Have you ever felt when you are putting high hopes to do well in examinations and there comes your inner thoughts “please Ya Allah. I will be grateful enough if I get ( fill in the blank )”. Then,comes the day. Surprisingly you do well. Alhamdulillah. But when you see those high fliers among your friends who score better than you, there’s a sudden unsatisfaction in your heart. And all of the sudden, your grateful feeling turns into jealousy. Have you ever felt that way ?

If yes, then congratulations. Syaitan has successfully controlled yourself.

This is supposed to be a self-reflective writing, because that is what I am feeling, and I am ashamed of myself for feeling that way. For the countless bounties that He has blessed upon me, why would I need to have a slight jealousy towards others ? Why don’t I question myself when I receive His blessings despite the countless sins that I have committed ? *massive sigh* 

Be grateful. Look around yourself and imagine how many people hope that they could be in your place right now. For some things that you take for granted, others are praying to get them.

And if you would count the graces of Allah, never could you be able to count them ( Surah Ibrahim 14:34 )
