Nowadays everything got mapped and digitalized, but as we checked the location of the Euramax factory (Industrieweg 6, Roerstreek, 6045 JG, The Roermond Limburg, Netherlands) on Google maps, we noticed that the aerial view of the building exists but, the street view is lacking. So we were wondering what if, we use the aerial / vector view of the area on the factory’s façade. You ask “WHY”, right?! So here are some of our thoughts: On the one hand it could represent Euramax and Aludesign possibilities in its best way of high quality, detailed huge photo-map print with a lot of precision. On the other hand we wanted to create a façade that will draw a lot of attention of clients, pedestrians and vehicles passing by. In simple words: we wanted to create a wall that different people could STARE on for minutes (and maybe more) to figure out many interesting details of the aerial view from a far/ close distance and get orient themselves in the surroundings. Another thought was to prepare the wall for the future Google maps car to come, and take its street view photo of the factory’s façade, with an aerial view in fact on it. This will create a bit of fun confusion and will draw positive attention to Euromax factory building on the internet and maybe turn it viral.
