It’s been a little over a week of summer vacation and it feels sooooo good. 3 APs next year though so there’s quite a bit of summer work. I finished chapter one of APUSH today!! (I love history)

half way through the first week of university! Gotta say the study spaces are to die for ~
so many exams, so little time! I’m taking my last one today so wish me luck (´∀`)
here are my notes on Chechen wars from my journal (I was so stressed that I started using it for studying)
decisions are being made over breakfast (please get my subtle Hamilton reference) 🎷☕️ ig: isabellaspud

20/100 Days of Productivity
I’m totally ignoring the fact that Days of Productivity are meant to be consecutive, because I’m too busy being productive to faff about taking pictures. Today was reading heavy, but I’m a week or so ahead of where I need to be. Mostly so I can focus on my International Security essay this weekend. If I’m not too wiped, that is, otherwise it’s binging on Bates Motel for me.
Also, the leaves on the Japanese maple in my garden have all simultaneously evacuated - autumn is officially in full swing!!! 🍁🍂🎃

One of my goals for 2017 is to use my planner + calendar more often to keep me on track!!
20161227 Preview of today’s business management notes! Had a pretty chill day ahah :)
ahhhhh i’m so excited about these stickers from paperkumaco :’) i’ve been experimenting (again) with my bullet journal this month, so i’ve been testing out a few things here and there. i’ll just have to wait and see how it works out long-term, but i’m excited about it!!
// first photo from my studygram :)
today’s mood board! (kinda, the first photo was my outfit from yesterday). i set today as a day to get my shit together after lazing around all break, and i think its going pretty well so far ;^)
{ 12-1-17 } 61/100 days of productivity

[ 28.08.16 • 10/100 DAYS OF PRODUCTIVITY ] wuhu some geog notes on plate tectonics that I did last week in preparation for my time trial the second day after c: but well the day was well spent I suppose, 28/8!!aka birthday so there was cake the night before and then it was just studying straight on haha ;-; I completed my essay assignment though, on the reduction of gender inequality through education wew all that in-text referencing really tires out your eyes :’) hope everyone had a gr8 day though!!!
100516 – things continue to be pretty non-stop in my corner of the universe! this is my spread from two weeks ago: originally it was going to be cat themed but then i finished ancillary mercy and so then it morphed into cats + space… and oh my gosh guys please read am and the other two books in the imperial radch series! artificial intelligence! a culture without gender constructs!
I’ve realized I don’t actually believe it’s possible to “teach” someone a language.
You can provide resources, but the student needs to use them.
You can answer questions, but the student needs to ask them first.
You can point at a word and say “This means that.” And then the same again for the next word. And then again, and again, and again. But a dictionary can do this too.
You can give a long awkward explanation of all the grammatical exceptions to the rules, but you’ll probably leave them even more confused than when they started.
What you can do is inspire them, give them passion – the longest-lasting and most useful gift you can give someone who wants to learn a language. If you ignite the flame of excitement within them to pursue the language on their own, they will continue to learn for the rest of their lives, even without you.
