Lets start off with the best gecko to ever be.
- Staraptor is the obvious one since he already ‘has’ one that sticks around, Acting as his main means of air transport.
- Butterfree, this is due to gecko’s love of status affects! (Stun, sleep, etc), There’s practically no better pokemon for this task then a butterfree. They aren’t strong in the physical means but given the opportunity to stun is all they need.
- Jolteon for the fact that Gecko is fact, Gecko likes to be able to get away quickly from things, So it only makes sense he has an equally fast companion in the form of Jolteon. Able to give support in terrain where staraptor is unable.
- Mantine, This is because of Grovyle being a ranger, He’s bound to need ocean support. Something to cross the seas with and it’s been shown multiple times that rangers commonly enlist the help of mantine due to their high speeds and generally calm temperaments.
- Arcanine, I have little explanation for this one, It’s a giant puppy dog. Grovyle needs to have a giant fire puppy okay, This is fact.
- And finally Zekrom or Karma!, always ready to step in and help protect her dad, it’s only right she’s a official/unofficial member of the team.
To move onto Kharon. I can’t see him being an active participant in battles but i see him less reserved about keeping or owning pokemon then Grovyle is, Even if only as a just in case, I can even see Bede and clover both urging Kharon to do so. As it gives the guy something to do, Even if he’s eh about the whole thing.
- Chandelure, They go from acting as a light source to eventually being a strong, Useful pokemon for Kharon to keep around.
- Umbreon, A powerful dark type and a defense wall, It’s only right kharon would own a pokemon like this. With glowing rings to illuminate to dark spaces and a quiet disposition, this pokemon won’t actively bother him.
- Sableye, Specifically in some cases even mega sableye, To keep with the mega evolution that seems to hold true in the family. I could see kharon keeping at least one of the sableye and harnessing the power of mega evolution along with it.
- Absol, This pokemon surprisingly isn’t kept for battling, No. They are a trained therapy pokemon, Knowing a list of commands of helpful household commands (For days kharon has episodes), A bred moveset for pain relief (Days kharon normally forces himself to get up). They also have the added addition of being able to alert kharon of disasters (Mainly caused by grovyle) before hand so he’s not dragged into something stupid.
- And Grovyle, Clover specifically, Considering these two seeming co-dependence on one another in ways not seen with other people. It’s only natural she’d trust kharon to keep her pokeball to as her ‘trainer’, Just as how grovyle has karma)
And now celebi!! the best fae, Due to celebi being probably the only one not truly ‘human’ out of the pair and being able to switch between forms, I like to imagine she doesn’t have a team. But she DOES have a bunch of pokemon who are willing to assist her at any interval due to her fae blood and general calming nature.
And finally, For karma because she’s literally a perfect goblin, She seems the most likely to have a team of pokemon despite being one herself because of bede’s influence. She considers the pokemon in her team more companions then pets and has attracted mainly electric types due to her own typing.
- The only two with notable mention is first Zebstrika, Becoming Karma’s main mode of transportation if she’s not going to fly, Because if you can’t see karma in human form throwing herself over this electric horses back and riding them at high speeds then i don’t know what to say-
- the other one is Elektross, they were her ‘starter’, Given to her by bede as but a tiny little Tynamo who quickly gained strength under Karma’s care. Seen now as the formidable and powerful pokemon they are.
