Crane Refuge Pond | Krasarang Wilds, Pandaria

Requires flying?: No.

Requires a faction?: No.

Requires summoning for lower levels?: Yes - characters not of level to enter Pandaria will have to be summoned.

Affected by phasing/requires quests?: No.

Nearby NPCs: There are friendly crane mobs wandering around the edge of the pond, but nothing hostile is nearby. A rare (level 87) can occasionally spawn in the boat.

Coordinates: 39, 29

Description: A shallow, roundish pond just north of the Cranewing Refuge. It contains a wooden boat with a yellow lantern, and fish swim along its bottom. Though overshadowed by the Winds' Edge, the pond is a soothing spot.

Owen's Wishing Well | Jade Forest, Pandaria

Requires flying?: No.

Requires a faction?: No.

Requires summoning for lower levels?: Yes - characters not of level to enter Pandaria will have to be summoned.

Affected by phasing/requires quests?: No.

Nearby NPCs: None. There are hostile 85 Thicket Stalkers to the south, but none near enough to the well to be a problem.

Coordinates: 39, 7

Description: A small stone fountain on the isolated northern edge of the Jade Forest. It's a picturesque spot, with a small wooden cart to the left.

Darnassus Guardhouse | Darnassus, Kalimdor

Requires flying?: No.

Requires a faction?: Yes - only Alliance players can get here.

Requires summoning for lower levels?: No.

Affected by phasing/requires quests?: No.

Nearby NPCs: A friendly Darnassus Sentinel patrols up and down one side.

Coordinates: 77, 46

Description: A large roofed terrace above the gates entering Darnassus. There are several tables and benches around the area, as well as a stone bowl in the center. The placement of the location lends a good view of the road in and out of Darnassus. Hence the name "guardhouse."

We never said we were particularly creative, sorry.

Wannabe Hobbit Hole | Stormwind City (Cathedral District), Eastern Kingdoms

Requires flying?: No.

Requires a faction?: Alliance only, unless you like pain.

Requires summoning for lower levels?: No.

Affected by phasing/requires quests?: No.

Nearby NPCs: None.

Coordinates: The entrance is located at 52, 62, next to Morris Lawry in the Canals.

Description: An easily passed over archway in the canals outside the Cathedral District leads to this pleasant courtyard, which contains a table and chairs, shaded by a large tree.

Cut-Throat Alley | Stormwind City (Dwarven District), Eastern Kingdoms

Requires flying?: No.

Requires a faction?: Alliance only, unless you're hardcore.

Requires summoning for lower levels?: No.

Affected by phasing/requires quests?: No.

Nearby NPCs: The bar leading in is filled with various NPCs, but the alley itself is empty.

Coordinates: The building to enter is located at 63, 47.

Description: What seems to be an innocuous bar known as "The Shady Lady" opens onto a secret alley in Stormwind City, empty of all NPCs. At one end of the alley is an empty building with a room - ready for a secret roguey meeting? Here's your place.

Surwich | Blasted Lands, Eastern Kingdoms

Requires flying?: No.

Requires a faction?: Yes - Alliance only; guards will aggro on Horde characters.

Requires summoning for lower levels?: No.

Affected by phasing/requires quests?: No.

Nearby NPCs: Various members of the Cenarion Circle and Ironforge NPCs patrol the village, but it's not stuffed with them.

Description: A small seaside town managed by Alliance affiliated members of the Cenarion Circle, on the borders of the Tainted Scar and built in the Gilnean style. It has one empty house and another house with only a little dwarf in the corner, and it's really just a great little town in the end.

Telredor | Zangarmarsh, Outland

Requires flying?: No.

Requires a faction?: Yes - only Alliance players can get here.

Requires summoning for lower levels?: Yes. Players incapable of passing through the Dark Portal must be summoned.

Affected by phasing/requires quests?: No.

Nearby NPCs: As an Alliance outpost in Outland, Telredor is filled with various merchants and guards.

Coordinates: 68, 49

Description: An Alliance outpost built in draenei style, Telredor is located on the top of a mushroom. Although it is full of NPCs, most of them are outside. Additional empty rooms are placed around the stalk of the mushroom, although they require flying to reach. The top of Telredor can be accessed via an elevator.

Tainted Scar Altar | Blasted Lands, Eastern Kingdoms

Requires flying?: No.

Requires a faction?: No.

Requires summoning for lower levels?: No, but they'll need an escort.

Affected by phasing/requires quests?: No.

Nearby NPCs: A friendly human named Daio the Decrepit stands in front of it, a few yards away. He is faced by a hostile level 58 Dreadlord Defiler, who is far enough away to not aggro on higher levels.

Description: A bloody stone altar, flanked by tall broken pillars and watched over by a creepy statue. If you want to sacrifice your friends, look no further!

Ruins of Korune | Kun-Lai Summit, Pandaria

Requires flying?: Yes.

Requires a faction?: No.

Requires summoning for lower levels?: Yes. Characters not of level to enter Pandaria, or without Pandarian flying, will need to be summoned.

Affected by phasing/requires quests?: Yes. The Ruins of Korune remain empty until (we assume) the Ruins of Korune quest (1, 2) is completed in the Dominance Offensive questline.

Nearby NPCs: None, as long as the quest is not completed.

Coordinates: 33, 26

Description: A sprawling subterranean Mogu structure, basically the usual underground Echoing Chamber often found in Pandaria. The Ruins consist of an upper chamber, the 'true' Ruins of Korune, and a lower chamber, the Crypt of Korune.

WARNING! Although there are no hostile NPCs, three of the four different tiles in the upper level of the Ruins will kill you. Here is a helpful diagram to tell you where not to go. It may take some hopping, but you can safely traverse the upper chamber of the Ruins.

Just jump off Thandol Span and swim east. Keep to the left coast. You’ll land at about 83, 80, just south of the house. It takes a while, but it works!

the place with the dwarf farm, i got there along time ago (w/o flying) by going up and over iron forge mountain then sliding down, going up iron forge mountain is its own journey though. i /think / theres a road but its hard to follow too, awesome blog btw.

See, when I was running around there taking screencaps, I thought I remembered a path, but I was running in the wrong direction (to the west) to find it. I’ll add the information to the post.

The farm can be reached on foot from the south. Not easy, but doable.

Really? Well, that should make it somewhat easier to access. Would you mind providing coordinates so we can add the footpath to the information?

Dwarf Farm | Arathi Highlands, Eastern Kingdoms

Requires flying?: No. There is a path from Ironforge Mountain; the route is detailed here. A second 'footpath' from Thandol Span is detailed here. (However, flying may be the easiest way to get here.)

Requires a faction?: No.

Requires summoning for lower levels?: No.

Affected by phasing/requires quests?: Not as far as we know, but information on this particular location is little to none.

Nearby NPCs: Several Horde-hostile Dwarven Farmer NPCs; they are level 15, but will flag for PVP if killed. There are also critters such as rats and rams (in the stable).

Coordinates: 87, 73

Description: A charming dwarven farm, with two plowed fields, a round stable, and a subterranean dwarven house. The owners of the house have refined taste in art. 

Note - visitors may notice a fleet of ships at a flyable distance from this location. Don't go to those ships. They'll fatigue you and you'll die.

Hey everyone! Sorry about the recent radio silence. Apparently both mods have busier lives than they thought? Weird.

I'll have some posts up either this evening or tomorrow afternoon, but since we've gotten quite an influx of new followers, I thought I'd finally ask after you guys. What server do you play on? What's your favorite class? Since this is a blog geared towards WoW RPers, tell us a little about your character.

For my part, I'm Jiriann, from Wyrmrest Accord. And I really, really like playing warlocks.

(I'm really bad at playing warlocks, though.)
