Kyu smiled at the other’s words, Hari always had a way with words and he loved that about his twin. He moved where he was standing beside the other, working the finger in the other’s hole a little faster than before, but still in a teasing manner. Bazhra was currently scolding himself as he made his way towards the kitchens. He had been distracted and missed the evening meal. He had tried to go to be but his stomach kept growling and keeping him awake. He figured he could piece together a meal of some sort to slake his hunger and then get some sleep. He reached the kitchens and heard some quiet conversation. He stepped around the corner to see who else was up late and saw quite the scene before him. Kyu and Hari were standing intimately close and hands were not clearly visible. They were clearly in the midst of a tryst. Baz decided it would be easiest to not disturb the princes and started trying to slowly back out of view. Unfortunately, in so doing, he wasn't looking where he was going and backed into a table made some noise, announcing his presence. With a growing blush on his face, he cleared his throat and said, "good evening, your Majesties. My apologies for intruding. I wasn't aware there would even be anyone up at this hour...." Alistair was simply trying his best to stay out of the way and to not make a fool of himself. Alistair is likely the biggest klutz most people have ever seen, and seemed to mess up almost everything. So he tried to find some place where he didn’t do too much damage. He was simply walking around since he had already been dismissed for the day. But he suddenly saw a familiar face. 

“Oh…Hey. I’ve seen you around Nok before!” Alistair said, youthful face lighting up in a smile as he stumbled towards the other. Looking almost like an energetic puppy. “My name is Alistair from the House of Hughes. Nice to meet you!”

Bazhra was looking for something to do around Nok. There was some sort of meeting in progress, but, after his official appearance, it no longer needed him. While strolling around the castle and appreciating their gardens, he heard a bright and friendly voice say, "Oh...Hey. I’ve seen you around Nok before! My name is Alistair from the House of Hughes. Nice to meet you!" In the middle of introducing himself, Alistair almost tripped. Baz quickly caught the other's hand to help steady him. He shook it while saying, "I've noticed you around as well. I'm Bazhra of House Shishorin, Junior Warden of Eddis. It's a pleasure to meet you as well." Bazhra released Alistair's hand once he was sure the other's footing was steady and gave him an appraising once over. He was very cute. Adorable even. Bright eyes and that curly hair. 'He's certainly easy on the eyes, that's for sure,' Baz thought. "So what is there to do around here, Alistair"

Bazhra was out walking the gardens around his tower in the castle. He was imbuing them with a bit of magic to keep them healthy and strong, but otherwise he let the plants grow as they will. He heard commotion near one of the entrances to the garden and moved in that direction, curious to see what was going on. He spotted a shirtless someone stooping to smell a flower. They glanced in his direction and then started approaching. Bazhra quickly recognized Prince Kyu and bowed respectfully, trying to hide the appreciative look he gave the half-naked prince. Kyu asked, “are you the new warden?” but the half-smile on his face said he already knew the answer. “Greetings, Prince Kyu. I am Bazhra Shishorin; newest warden of House Meksi. It is a pleasure to finally meet you.” As he finished speaking, he gestured in the direction of the guards that had accompanied the prince and large leaves grew out of the nearby plants to provide some solid shade for the guards to stand in. With a come-hither gesture towards the tower, a spindly legged table came walking out the door carrying a pitcher of water, a plate of fruit, and some cups. It walked over to the guards as Baz said, “please help yourself gentlemen. The pitcher won’t run out of water. It’s best to stay hydrated and cool in this warmth.” After he finished providing the guards some respite from the warmth of the day, he turned back to Kyu. Once again, his eyes slid over the half-naked prince before he forced himself to meet the Prince’s gaze. “Here to get some sun, your Highness?”

Kyu watched with much interest as the other showed off his powers, watching the vines move up the tower, making shade for his well worked guards. The warden was giving the guards treats, something he knew would keep his guards busy and happy for awhile, while he could actually be without them for a bit. Something Kyu had longed for all day. When the show was done, Kyu turned towards Baz and smirked. “I am always looking to get sun on beautiful days like this. I think you are going to be a welcomed member to the kingdom, you already know how to treat and distract guards, something I am always extremely grateful for.” said Kyu with a smirk. “do you have any plans or can you join me?”

Bazhra had noticed Kyu watching out of the corner of his eye. Most folks were interested in watching magic, but how they reacted could tell Baz something of their character; or so he liked to think. Kyu didn't seem too enthralled with the magic itself, but more interested in what could be accomplished with it. Already the guards were settling down and keeping their distance which seemed to be what Kyu was wanting. Bazhra nodded to the guards, letting them know the prince was in good hands. They turned to walk further into the garden and the guards stayed put. "I don't have any plans and would love to join you. Why are you trying to get away from your guards?"

Kyu was ten paces ahead of his guards as they walked behind him, probably hating the prince for brining them out into the sun in their full gear, when the prince himsel was holy wearing a pair of short britches, with his shirt tucked into the side. His shoes long forgotten at the start of the gardens, taking a sip from the wine that he had in his left hand. He loved the smell of the gardens during the day, he leaned forward to smell a flower when he spotted somone out of the corner of his eye, he knew it was the newest warden of his kingdom, one he wasn’t sure he had ever spoken to before. He made his way over to the other, half smile on his face. “Are you the new warden?” asked Kyu already knowing the answer.

It was surprising just how much grief the prince could feel in his body, how much he missed Morris when he and Morris hadn’t even been that close to begin with. Standing over the lake’s edge, looking over the water, he couldn’t help the pain in his heart and he shook his head. “I am sorry, brother… I wish I had been here… but I promise you… I will be here for Owen, however he needs… I will ensure that he continues your legacy and carries out your family name…” Mikael whispered, his voice soft as he watched the water in the lake ripple lightly with the breeze just as he heard the sound of a boot against the wood of the dock he was standing upon.

Inhaling slowly, the youngest brother of the late king blinked away any tears that were prickled in his eyes before he turned to face the source of his sound. “Come to enjoy the view tonight too, aye?”

Bazhra was visiting Dele to pay his respects. The Kingdom was lovely, but things seemed muted. It made sense, but it seemed to invite a certain melancholy. He had decided to get out of the castle to get some air and visit Danholm Lake. As he approached the docks, he looked out over the lake and took in the stunning view. He noticed a lone figure standing by himself at the end of the Dock. He took a slow breath and approached. He heard the man speaking quietly, but couldn't make out what he was saying. He did finally recognize the figure once he heard the timbre of his voice. He stepped onto the dock and saw Mikael compose himself. "Come to enjoy the view tonight too, aye?" Baz stepped up to stand beside Mikael and look out over the water. In a patient, somber tone he said, "Grief hangs heavy over the castle, as it should. I stepped out for some air and wanted to see the lake. It is quite a sight to behold." He looked over to Mikael and said, "my condolences to you Master Gauthier. Know that you do not have to hide your mourning from me. It is good and healthy to experience your emotions. I'm here if you'd like to talk. Comfortable silence is acceptable as well. Or, if you'd like your space, I can leave" Bazhra looked back out over the lake, giving Mikael the space to think it over.

Bazhra was very excited. He had been accepted as a Junior Warden to serve his home kingdom. He watched from the carriage window as the castle grew closer and closer until it was no longer visible as they had arrived. As he stepped out, he immediately called forth the wind to pull a breeze through the area. He reached out magically to the plants nearby and they immediately sat up taller and healthier. Some even bloomed. He smiled to the staff of the castle there to greet him and turned to thank the carriage driver for a lovely ride. He flicked a gold coin towards him and guided it to his hand with some small bursts of wind. He turned back to the staff from the castle and flicked another few coins to the approaching stable hands as he said, "thank you for the assistance, folks. If you can just get the trunks down, I'll make sure they get to my room." As he finished speaking, he pointed a finger down and motioned as if he was stirring something. A small, partially visible, tightly controlled, cyclone of air formed on the ground under his finger. He gestured for the stable hands to set the first trunk down there. They did so, but were surprised to witness the trunk settle onto the cyclone and levitate a foot off the ground. He smiled at the hands once more before turning to approach the Butler waiting to guide him to his new quarters. The levitating trunk started to slowly follow Bazhra, but left another small cyclone of air where the first one was, ready to receive another trunk. He approached the butler and nodded in response to his bow. He followed the butler to the base of a tower reached through a garden in the one of the castle courtyards. Bazhra slipped the butler a gold coin as he shook his hand and thanked him for his assistance. He stepped into the tower. After a quick tour of the tower, Bazhra returned to the entry chamber of the tower and directed the lazy train of trunks to various floors of the tower based on what they contained. He, with a few hand motions and whispered words, started adjusting the room to his likings. Plants were sprouting in bunches in the corners of the room. The furniture started to shift and reshape into more natural forms. The chairs and couch grew larger and, instead of fabric to cushion the seat, they became filled with the softest springiest moss. Bazhra grabbed a glass from a nearby serving table and took a seat. He plucked a few berries from the nearest plant and dropped them in the glass as it slowly filled with water from seemingly nowhere. He took a decent pull before setting the glass aside to examine the most recent trunk to arrive. He opened it and began to pull art and decorations from it to decorate the current room. The door to his tower was open for any visitors and the remaining few trunks that were slowly trundling along. He was hopping to use the sight of the trunks to draw visitors to himself. Easiest way to draw attention and meet new people was with a show.

For a man who had spent most of his time with a dragon, Ismadi watched with child-like wonder at the magic at work around him. Every trick and each new expression of magic brought new life to a face that had been so grim. If it had been Bazhra’s goal to distract the dragon rider from his sadness, he had succeeded with excellence.

At last, someone recognizes all the heavy lifting I do, Jyrvir smiles a Cheshire cat smile in the courtyard below. Tell the handsome warden that he has my thanks for his kind words. He has no idea the scrawny mess you were when I hatched.

“Jyrvir extends his thanks for your kind words; oh, what’s that? Jyrvir also bids me say he would be lost without me. The big softie,” Ismadi smirks at the rude noise that Jyrvir makes, even if he believes they’re true. Accepting the teacup, he holds it up, closes his eyes, and inhales the nutty aroma. “When I was a child, my mother drank oolong tea so much that I’ve come to identify it with home.”

“That’s why I’m here,” Izzy begins as he looks up, taking a long sip of the tea. And then another. Perhaps it was a trick of the mind or the magic, but it tasted just like his mother’s oolong. An impossibility since the lone slope of the mountain it grew on had been destroyed during the war a hundred years ago. Shaking off the nostalgia, Izzy continues. “my mother’s birthday. I visited his crypt earlier and spent some time remembering happier days. I’ve not been back here since… the war started. Ended. I had a lot of missed birthdays to make up for.”

“I appreciate your hospitality. I expect you don’t know who I was, or else things might not be so cordial,” Izzy confides, “but all the same this means a great deal to me. When I finish, I will leave before I outstay my welcome.”

Bazhra nodded solemnly as Ismadi spoke. Once he was done, Baz cleared his throat, took a sip of tea, and spoke once again in the formality of his station, "As I am Host and you are Guest, you are free to leave when you would like. I do know my History and, though I do not personally know your story, I know of you. I am aware that History written by man is not always the most kind. I also know that life and the decisions one must make are not always easy. You will find yourself hard pressed to outstay a welcome with me." Bazhra looked Ismadi in the eyes and dropped his formal tone as he smiled warmly and said, "You can stay as long as you would like. There's plenty more tea where that came from. I would visit her crypt with you as well if you desired company." Baz settle back into his chair and took another sip of tea. It was quite good. He smiled towards Ismadi at the same time he released a small pulse of magic. Plants in the immediate vicinity opened a few blooms and the flames of the torches flickered a bit as well. It wasn't intended but it was meant to add emphasis to his welcoming smile.

Bazhra was looking through one of his trunks at the table in the Welcome Room of his tower. He so distracted that he didn’t hear anyone approach. When Prince Matai spoke it startled him and he glanced over to see the speaker. As soon as he saw Prince Matai, Bazhra recognized him and hopped up from his seat, knocking the trunk over and bumping the table askew in the process. He quickly sank into a deep bow and said, “apologies, Your Majesty. I was not expecting a visit from Royalty. I intended to join the rest of our retinue in Dele and offer what services I could there. Is there something I can assist you with now?” Baz held his bow, waiting for word from the Prince. He’d been instructed to bow but realized he didn’t know how long to hold it.

The second son of House Eddis simply watched the young warden as he rose to his feet and bowed, showing respect to the prince in a way that had him almost chuckle - if only because he had clumsily done so. Still, he had managed to maintain his composure and remained poised as he listened to the warden’s words, and he took a step forward. “You need not keep bowing, young warden. Just a quick dip is well enough,” the prince admitted as he offered his hand to the other. “But no, there is nothing you can assist me with. As I said, I merely came because I had heard you arrived, and I wanted to wish you a welcome to the Violet Hold and explain the reasoning why most of us were not here,” he explained for a moment before he moved to touch the table and scooch it back into place.

“If you’d like, though, I will be attending a… party with some friends,” he spoke, the place in which he was planning to attend was not exactly a party but he wasn’t about to tell the man where he was really going. No, he wanted to see the warden’s expression he found that they had gone to an underground tourney. “You may join me, if you’d like. I’m sure my parents would be pleased to know I was safe with a skilled warden if I am to be away from our guards, at the very least. And you would be thanked for keeping their son safe and out of harms way.”

Bazhra was blushing slightly from embarrassment as Prince Matai corrected him on bowing etiquette. He nodded after Matai finished speaking and said, "yes. I was aware the family was in Dele. It was my plan to join them after I had finished settling in. However, if you require an escort, I would be more than happy to assist." He walked over to a cabinet by the door and started filling a leather satchel with a few vials of liquid and some small leather pouches. Once he appeared satisfied with the contents of the satchel, he slung it over his head so that the strap was across his torso. He then stepped closer to the door and grabbed a deep swampy green hooded robe and threw that on as well. He turned to look at the Prince and said, "I'm ready when you are. Are we making any stops or heading straight for this...party?" He'd said party the same way as Matai did to point out that he was aware this wasn't going to be the standard socialite party, which is why he packed his satchel. Never hurts to be prepared.

“No strain at all, Warden. Was that not one of the lighter ones?” Was Ismadi attempting to flirt? Maybe. But those gears were very rusty, so to help it along, he flexed his smile muscles. “I’m glad to have helped.”

“We have not, but I did enjoy the spectacle of your arrival. You reminded me of my former tutor, over a century ago. He was a wonderful warden and friend,” the dragon rider bows as he introduces himself. “I am Rider Ismadi Meksi, bonded to the Viridian Wyrm of the West, Jyrvir the Justice, sworn to the House Canalo and the lands of Ondera.”

Some people might have missed the way that he spoke, thinking it a little old fashioned. Most would never have caught the catch of bitter sadness when he spoke the word Meksi. But a warden would be clever enough to notice both. The lost brother of the first king of Eddis was named Ismadi, and if one went back far enough, read past the epithets of his being a blood traitor, would learn he, too, was a dragon rider.

He says you stink. Jyrvir chuffed over the their telepathic connection. ‘Jokes on you, if I stink, I stink of you’

“I would…” Izzy began before he broke off. He had already been so long in Eddis. Too long, really. But the warden reminded him of Iskandar and the green growing things reminded him of his mother. Gnawing at a lip with uncertainty, he continued, roughly, “I would like that very much. A cup of oolong, if you have any? I’ve not had a good Eddisian oolong since… for a long time.”

“We have not, but I did enjoy the spectacle of your arrival. You reminded me of my former tutor, over a century ago. He was a wonderful warden and friend,” the dragon rider bows as he introduces himself. “I am Rider Ismadi Meksi, bonded to the Viridian Wyrm of the West, Jyrvir the Justice, sworn to the House Canalo and the lands of Ondera.” Bazhra listened as Ismadi introduced himself. He heard the note of sadness when he spoke his last name and felt himself frown for a moment. He thought back to his history lessons and his eyes widened for a moment as he recalled that name. Suspicions of betrayal and "blood traitor" were most certainly exaggerations. A Rider could not help if he was called, just as Bazhra couldn't and didn't want to say no to the call of his power and abilities. When Ismadi accepted his offer of tea, Bazhra bowed deeply and, in proper court etiquette and speech said, "Welcome Rider Ismadi! It is my pleasure to host you in my chambers. Please make yourself comfortable and feel free to call upon me for aid or anything else within my power to provide." There may have been a bit of tongue-in-cheek as he spoke but he dropped the proper speech and started making with the magic and said, "one pot of fresh Oolong coming right up." He gestured to a spindly legged wooden tea table and it started walking slowly over to the two gentlemen as they took seats. With perhaps a bit more showmanship than was necessary, Baz conjured water into the pot on the table and then a fire beneath it to heat it. He gestured to some plants on a lower shelf of the table and one of them started to drop leaves into his hand. Taking the leaves between his hands, he pressed them together and heated and slowly pulled moisture from them to dry them. They were added to the pot and moments later fresh Oolong tea was served. Baz made a clicking sound and a cat appeared from seemingly nowhere. He handed a note to the cat who scampered out the door. "Tea cakes and refreshments should be along shortly. I feel like I packed all of my trunks pretty evenly, though you seemed to be carrying that with almost no effort. Very impressive, I must say. If you would, pass along my greetings to your Dragon companion. And also my thanks for molding you into such a specimen".

Bazhra was very excited. He had been accepted as a Junior Warden to serve his home kingdom. He watched from the carriage window as the castle grew closer and closer until it was no longer visible as they had arrived. As he stepped out, he immediately called forth the wind to pull a breeze through the area. He reached out magically to the plants nearby and they immediately sat up taller and healthier. Some even bloomed. He smiled to the staff of the castle there to greet him and turned to thank the carriage driver for a lovely ride. He flicked a gold coin towards him and guided it to his hand with some small bursts of wind. He turned back to the staff from the castle and flicked another few coins to the approaching stable hands as he said, "thank you for the assistance, folks. If you can just get the trunks down, I'll make sure they get to my room." As he finished speaking, he pointed a finger down and motioned as if he was stirring something. A small, partially visible, tightly controlled, cyclone of air formed on the ground under his finger. He gestured for the stable hands to set the first trunk down there. They did so, but were surprised to witness the trunk settle onto the cyclone and levitate a foot off the ground. He smiled at the hands once more before turning to approach the Butler waiting to guide him to his new quarters. The levitating trunk started to slowly follow Bazhra, but left another small cyclone of air where the first one was, ready to receive another trunk. He approached the butler and nodded in response to his bow. He followed the butler to the base of a tower reached through a garden in the one of the castle courtyards. Bazhra slipped the butler a gold coin as he shook his hand and thanked him for his assistance. He stepped into the tower. After a quick tour of the tower, Bazhra returned to the entry chamber of the tower and directed the lazy train of trunks to various floors of the tower based on what they contained. He, with a few hand motions and whispered words, started adjusting the room to his likings. Plants were sprouting in bunches in the corners of the room. The furniture started to shift and reshape into more natural forms. The chairs and couch grew larger and, instead of fabric to cushion the seat, they became filled with the softest springiest moss. Bazhra grabbed a glass from a nearby serving table and took a seat. He plucked a few berries from the nearest plant and dropped them in the glass as it slowly filled with water from seemingly nowhere. He took a decent pull before setting the glass aside to examine the most recent trunk to arrive. He opened it and began to pull art and decorations from it to decorate the current room. The door to his tower was open for any visitors and the remaining few trunks that were slowly trundling along. He was hopping to use the sight of the trunks to draw visitors to himself. Easiest way to draw attention and meet new people was with a show.

Ismadi Meksi watched the arrival of the new warden with a wry chuckle. Some wardens kept their skills shrouded in mystery, while others couldn’t resist being the center of a spectacle. While he respected the mysterious wardens, he had always been fond of the flashy wardens. He vividly recalled his favorite tutor as a boy had been a warden with a panache. Iskandar had made learning a delight.

When he saw a few gentlemen-in-waiting wrestle a trunk free of one of the whirling cyclones, he sat up on the wall he had been dozing on. As he watched these pompous gits start moving in the opposite direction, he hopped down and strode over. With a voice dripping with honeyed venom, the old dragon rider intervened. “Oh no, my little lordlings, moving luggage is far, far beneath you. Let me; the humble dragon rider take this for you. No, no, I insist.”

Lifting away the heavy trunk from the trio like a ragdoll, he turned on his heel and headed towards the Wardens tower with a light spring in his step. Most surprisingly was the genuine smile that appeared on lips more prone to frowning.

Hmm. Is this pleasure from pissing on the fun of nobles or at the prospect of meeting a warden like old Iskandar? Jyrvir rumbled across their telepathic link.

“Why can’t it be a little of both?” Ismadi chuckled as he used his boot to rap on the door of the mage tower gently. Calling out in a friendly tone of voice that mortal man had not heard in a hundred years, “Warden? I have the last of your trunks! May I bring it in for you?”

Bazhra was doing inventory on his belongings to make sure that everything had arrived. After checking and then double-checking, he finally concluded that he must have misplaced something; a whole trunk's worth of something. He was just starting to prepare a spell to seek out the charm he'd included in the trunk when there was a rapping on his chamber door(quoth the raven....nevermore). He heard a voice call out, "Warden? I have the last of your trunks! May I bring it in for you?”

He gestured towards the door, opening it with some of his magic as he approached. He looked over the well-muscled man standing there holding one of his heavy trunks and just stared for the slightest of moments. He quickly caught himself and shook his head before saying, "apologies, good sir. I did not intend to have anyone else strain themselves on my behalf." He gestured to the trunk and it was lifted from Ismadi's shoulder with a small burst of wind before swooping into the room to settle on the floor. "Please, come in. We haven't met, but, if I'm not mistaken, you must be one of the Dragon Riders. Bit of Draconic essence hanging around you. I'm Bazhra Shishorin, newest warden of Eddis. Is there anything I can get you? Tea? Herb? Something else?"

Though most of the Eddisian royalty and prominent members of nobility were residing in Dele to support the Delesian sovereigns in their mourning period and their upcoming coronation, the Eddisian prince found himself headed back to his kingdom for a few hours. Just because his presence was required in the kingdom of Dele, it didn’t mean that he had to completely withdraw from any events taking part in Eddis - and that included one of the underground tourneys. Flocks of people were expected to turn up to see the famed Viper of Eddis in action, others paying handsomely to see whether or not the prince would wind up being defeated, and Matai wasn’t planning to disappoint. The portals made for quick travel among the kingdoms certainly made that easier.

After entering through the portal that led back to his castle, he walked into the portal room and was greeted by a servant that asked how long he was planning to stay. “Not long - I plan to return back to Dele by the end of the night. You need not worry about me,” he stated before the servant told him that the newest warden of the kingdom had just moved in. That was interesting to hear. “Really now?” Bidding the servant adieu, the prince began to make his way to the tower in the castle where he saw the aforementioned warden sitting at a table.

 “You must be the new warden,” the prince spoke as he approached. “Forgive the lack of fanfare upon your arrival, but most of us are actually still in Dele at the moment. I am Prince Matai Meksi… welcome to the palace of the kingdom of Eddis, young warden.”

Bazhra was looking through one of his trunks at the table in the Welcome Room of his tower. He so distracted that he didn't hear anyone approach. When Prince Matai spoke it startled him and he glanced over to see the speaker. As soon as he saw Prince Matai, Bazhra recognized him and hopped up from his seat, knocking the trunk over and bumping the table askew in the process. He quickly sank into a deep bow and said, "apologies, Your Majesty. I was not expecting a visit from Royalty. I intended to join the rest of our retinue in Dele and offer what services I could there. Is there something I can assist you with now?" Baz held his bow, waiting for word from the Prince. He'd been instructed to bow but realized he didn't know how long to hold it.
