i had a lot of muse then i realized it was for andy, not soka. he’s definitely the quiet type in far cry. prefers bow and arrow and sneaks. knows his way around. andy was also attached to the elder people in the rez and learned quite a bit from them too. like traditional medicines, teachings. imma make it so that soka did give birth to him but given her mental health wasn’t the best, put him for temporary care with relatives. hasn’t made contact with him. 

andy vaguely knows ( or gets the feeling ) who his mother is. not the father. ( psst. it’s erkowe. andy is the second child, the first one passed away in a car accident. soka didn’t tell erkowe that she was pregnant when he left to another state. ) he very much wants to know her better but getting stories from the rez altogether makes him hesitant to do so. he notices that for several months at a time she’s not at her house at all and if she is, she’s stays in or out in the wilderness. 

when the cult started popping up an increasing their numbers, andy thought of intially joining the resistance but stayed behind with his parents who raised him.

The Whitetail Reservation I plotted(?) for in-game purposes is about 1 mile from the edge of the game’s map northeast of the Whitetail Mountains. Also dubbed ‘ the Rez ‘, it represents varying tribes but mostly Lakota. Like Sokanon and Wheaty. It’s a big enough town, sitting right on the Henbane River that stretches in that general direction, sitting on the highlands as to avoid flooding during early spring, winter melts. It’s also one of the first few places to be hit by the Bliss and the initial population dwindled over the months bc of it.

Leading to the Rez is a singular, two way dirt road. Numerous trails, and filled with wildlife. Population at its highest was in the 2,000′s pre-reaping. During the Reaping it dwindled to 1,500′s or lower. 

Sokanon, and other like-minded individuals, use their surroundings to build numerous traps ( like pits - spiked or no spikes ), tripwires, nests in the trees for scouts. She had the people build one tall wall with a single gate to dissuade the Peggies from trying to take over. Hunters run directly north for food, trade for supplies otherwise needed.

I’m only making this post so that other writers can use if they wanna write something using this narrative. Like if you want to write an indigenous character and write in Far Cry 5? By all means, use this as a base if you want. Secondly, you DON’T have to write an indigenous character or be an indigenous mun to write with this too. It’s free for you to use! 

I just had to make this considering it’s Montana. In RL i believe there are numerous Reservations and the lack of indigenous rep in-game is nothing short of criminal. but i’m gonna stop myself from lookin’ like a fool so there you have it. :)
