all of that recent art is from 2020... i dont think i have anything from this year which is kind of. shocking and disheartening lol.

part of the prompt thread i was trying to do years ago and it was about old ocs and these two are some of the oldest. the left character was originally like a pokemon fancharacter that i based around mewtwo :x and the right character was originally like a fancharacter for numerous series one of which was pkmn but there were others she was mixed in but i revamped her for my own story and i ended up scrapping the other character although it was nice to bring him back to life for a drawing. i tried to show their inspiration from pokemon with their circles behind them like you saw in pokemon the first movie lol

i made three new ocs for no reason and this guy is like a tree nymph kind of? or tree fae or smth along those lines i have figured out his backstory i more just created their designs. the other a demon or spirit again havent really pinpointed out their backstories. their was one girl that went alongside them but i dont have a colored version of her just a small sketch. it was around the idea of them three of them using wildly different sorts of magic. character on the left with more naturey magic, character on the right uses his camera for magic, and the last character borderline has no magic/more like a magician or smth like that

the fact the last time i drew consistently was 2020 is uhhh rough

some ocs. in 2020 i tried to go through a whole 30 prompt list to draw my ocs and i think i made it to 8 lol;;

i want to get back into drawing my ocs but i feel so behind and it doesnt help that i still hate everything i draw;; every year i swear ill draw more but honestly every year i draw less lol bcuz whats the point

i know jack shit on how to use a tablet & krita hoo boy but i hate sketching/inking on my tablet so i might just do this and digitally color lmao

one of the few times i tried using my tablet and now i have a better running computer i dont have a disc slot to download the shit needed to use my tablet :’) i will miss this one piece that people can actually see the colors properly unlike all my trad art

Back in high school I did a bunch of greek myth related pieces in my art class because i just loved classical studies and still do :’) anyways i really liked a lot of the ideas i had for them but like my art level sucked for them so i wanted to try redoing them… anatomically i think ive gotten better but painting(left is either acrylic or oil and right is watercolor pencils… i prefer acrylic wish i had that but i dont i was never taught watercolor) i still suck at as well as backgrounds lmao theres some aspects i prefer the left with but ahhh thats life

hi i still think about this sketch constantly. my art Peaked at this sketch and its been downhill since. how did i do this? what possessed me when i started drawing this? the background may be Eh but its more than i usually draw but the characters.

i just Love when i do self indulgent sketches i guess doesnt matter if theyre good!!

my oc, abigail. used sharpies again so no skintone. shes a psychic elemental user and shes supposed to be floating/sleep walking/sleep floating. i like it.

i was planning on doing mermay but i didnt bcuz i just cant do monthly stuff anymore w art cuz 90% of the time i dont want to draw and this is like the only thing i did for it

i Technically have a mermaid story somewhere in the back of my brain and it features this guy so i was trying to design him. i say technically bcuz i really have no ideas about it except the protag being a marine biologist(aspiring), living on the cape, and it features mermaids and pirates and would focus on the environment as most of my stories do :x it would prob be the one story i create that doesnt exist in the same universe as In My Veins. if i ever create it lol

Some more random sketches and one colored in for no reason. the only markers i Really have is sharpies which is why i never color in the skin for sketches

was trying to pin down my dnd oc that i had created a While ago that i never used but i liked her. shes the top right sketch.

some sketches i did for In My Veins. i reallyreallyreally like the left one for really no good reason outside of theyre my ocs acting cute . the right is supposed to be one of the antagonist for In My Veins but i never actually pinned down a design/actually drawn her before so I decided to try out one. not finalized and not the best sketch but whatever;;

the bottom sketch i was initially just sketching animals;; i think the show was called Alien Sharks and so i initially just wanted to draw some sharks i saw on their but for some reason i then moved onto frogs and then moved onto a species of my own- psychein. prominent species in In My Veins. also trying to pin their design down and be comfortable with drawing them- a sort of magical chameleon/frog mix :x also cant decide whether or not i want to give them a more slitted pupil or a bar pupil.

during inktober i wanted to do more full illustrations but then realized i didnt know how to do that and i didnt have the time bcuz work constantly kicks my ass

i tried to follow the lines of “finished not perfect” and ik its tech not finished bcuz of all the white space but uh lets not talk about that bcuz i obvs didnt plan well At All
