Wasteland Words Updates: Week of 10/12/2020

Moving forward, the submission form will be open Tuesdays at 12:01 AM to Wednesdays at 12:59 PM Pacific Daylight Time.

My goal is to post 2-3 submissions a day from Thursday to Monday, which requires 12-18 submissions a week.

I changed the theme to make it more readable with a better layout for submission formatting. Getting links to work on mobile is still an issue. Please give feedback or suggest good layouts for writing blogs.

I have allowed images, so you can include a picture along with your submission. Please make sure you have permission to use the images. If you would like to find free-to-use stock photography, I highly suggest Pixabay.

As we grow I will probably seek another mod to add to the team but want to get things more established first. Keep it in mind when I do a call for mods in a few weeks.

Hey folks! We’ve only gotten two submissions so far! Thank you @theartofblossoming, @ihopethismakessense and @spindly. Beautiful words are up, so please check them out and give them a like/comment/reblog as you feel moved to do so.

Also, submit!! I know y’all are writing. I will leave the submission box open until next Wednesday night. You are welcome to submit things that have already been published (not just WIPs!). Think of it as an opportunity to share your work with a wider audience.

So far WW has 24 followers, and with a bit more boosting and activity we can easily double that in a few days. I know it will take a bit of time to get things off the ground, but don’t be shy.

I will be seeking feedback via strawpolls over the next few weeks. Here are the first two.
