ABOUT THIS BLOG
This blog was created in July 2020 and it is dedicated to the life and person of Jeremy Wade Delle. This means that anything Pearl Jam or true crime related will not be discussed here. This blog aims at humanizing Jeremy (and his loved ones) through art and writing, psychology, science, research and a great dose of empathy. Since two of the historic websites dedicated to Jeremy (ssheps.com and thejeremystory) are now offline, this blog also serves as a tool to preserve part of their work by re-posting the contents that give an insight into how Jeremy was as a person.
ABOUT THE ADMIN
I would be lying if I said I didn't find out about Jeremy because of the song, but thankfully I stumbled upon the website jeremywadedelle.com (of which I am now a moderator) where I read about the real Jeremy.
Strangely enough, it wasn't learning about his suicide that upset me the most - it was learning about him and his life: there used to be this kid who was very smart and talented (his artistic, drumming, skateboarding skills...), but who suffered so much that he felt like death was his only way out. It shattered my heart, I couldn't stop thinking about it.
Before I knew it, by learning about him I was also learning about a lot of other things (the 80s/90s, mental illnesses, therapeutic procedures, psychology, teenage distress...) and evolving as a person. Thinking of Jeremy being sad and gone broke my heart so I started drawing and writing about him in an attempt to make him exist outside of that sad narrative; to make him live through paper, colors and words; to humanize him and celebrate the complicated but undoubtedly smart, talented and kind-hearted person all the people who knew him described him as.
I wouldn't be who I am today if I hadn't learned about Jeremy and his world and I feel very grateful for it, so I feel like the least I can do as a payback is being a counter-narrative that focuses on humanizing him (and his loved ones) and celebrating who he really was through drawings, writings and this blog, so that hopefully more people will think of him as a person and not as a song or a true crime story.
Because this is the point, it wasn't learning about the song or his death that changed me - it was learning about his life.
ABOUT MY ART
The majority of the drawings you see on this blog were made by me and most of them are illustrations for the no-profit, humanizing psychological and historical trilogy I wrote about Jeremy between 2020-2023, called No more "Later Days". If you really want to understand something about me and this blog, you should read the post in which I introduce it. Reading my #personal posts will also help.
When I finished writing No more "Later Days", I realized many things had changed in three years. I was older, wiser and more 'professional' about the Jeremy matter and I wanted my blog to reflect that - I wanted a fresh start. So I revised everything and uploaded newer versions of my drawings (signed waterfall7290) in which now only Jeremy was featured, as some drawings used to include my OC/supporting character Nick. I also took down others which to me felt not serious enough.
Unfortunately that's how I discovered my older art had been stolen and re-uploaded without my consent on a very sketchy website that steals contents from all Tumblr blogs and that ignores every takedown request. What bothered me the most to be honest was not the art theft per se, rather the fact that those lazy thieves didn't even include the description I had written for those drawings, meaning anyone who sees them will not understand them.
For this reason I decided to make a private post (accessible HERE) in which I posted the full, newer version of every drawing together with its context.
Mine the art, mine the right to tell about it.

HOW TO NAVIGATE THE BLOG
1) If you're interested in learning more about Jeremy and seeing art depicting him, visit Bluebonnets for Jeremy Delle. Most of the contents you can find on this blog were reposted on it but in a tidier and easier way to navigate. It's also more professional overall.
2) Visit waterfall7290.com (unless you're already on it and not on the Tumblr blog version of it). You'll find a series of sections/titles just under the name and description of the website: if you click on POSTS you will navigate all the things I ever posted, from more recent to less recent, but that's the opposite of tidy in my opinion. However, next to POSTS you can find other pages, like RESEARCH AND ARTICLES, MEDIA, ART, PERSONAL... each section displays or lists all posts that fall under that category. There's also the ARCHIVE section, but that's also very messy to navigate.
3) You can use HASHTAGS. There are hashtags under each post. If you click on a certain hashtag, it will show you all posts that fall under that category. To help you understand them, here is a list of all the hashtags I used:
#jeremy delle #jeremy wade delle all posts strictly about Jeremy #articles all the articles about Jeremy I wrote, containing new info or considerations #art #drawing all types of art about Jeremy. If it has the hashtag #mine, it means I made it #media all kinds of media (pictures, documents...) about Jeremy which isn't an article nor art #no more later days all posts concerning my trilogy No more "Later Days" #personal all my announcements, personal considerations... #pearl jam all posts which refer to or speak about the song
