NCT Dad’s Club (PART 2) - THE SUH’S RESIDENCE

“Dad, can you please braid my hair? Mommy’s kind of angry right now” Brielle whined while smiled awkwardly to Johnny, obviously she did something wrong. “What did you do now?” he asked, raising an eyebrow.
“I just… uhm… I didn’t do anything wrong” she replied. “You know what Brielle did?” Johnny’s wife barged inside their room looking so frustrated. “She vandalized the bathroom walls” she blurted. “Did you really do it Brielle?” Johnny asked in a firm tone and raised an eyebrow looking at his daughter.
“I just decorated the bathroom walls. That’s all” she replied not looking to either of her parents. “See it for yourself, John” her wife sighed. They went to the bathroom to check the walls. “What have you done Brielle?” Johnny asked, his eyebrows furrowed. Brielle painted a rose on their white bathroom wall. It’s not pretty but it’s not a bad painting. “Uncle Ten said to express myself so I painted the wall with a rose” she beamed. “Ohh… I see. Then why did you choose the bathroom wall to be your canvass? You could’ve just ask us to buy you one” Johnny patted her head.
“I saw Uncle Ten painting on the walls of his apartment. He painted a beautiful abstract art on it, I just want to try it but it kind of upset mom and you so I sincerely apologize for it, dad” she pouted. “It’s okay. Uncle Ten will be very glad that you tried but next time, ask permission from us if you want to do something with the wall, okay?” he kissed her forehead.
“Okay. I’m sorry again” she hugged him and went to her mom. “I’m so sorry mommy” she reached out for her mom and she hugged her. “It’s okay, baby” she kissed her forehead too. “Now go to your room, I’ll be right there to braid your hair” her mom smiled. She went out of the bathroom and made her way to her room.
“Do you understand why I don’t want another one?” Johnny’s wife glared at him and he just smirked. “C’mon. It’ll be fun” he beamed. “No” she said bluntly and hurriedly went out of the bathroom. Johnny reached out to her but he missed and he chased her to Brielle’s bedroom.

“We will let you off the hook this time, Brielle. Please behave when you’re with Uncle Ten” Johnny’s wife patted her head and kissed her forehead. “Mom, I’m 13. Uncle Ten is not my babysitter. He’s my ‘guardian’ while we’re touring the art museum” Brielle whined at her mom. “Hey Ten, please take good care of her. She’s still our baby” Johnny patted Ten’s shoulder. “I’ll take good care of her, hyung. Don’t worry. Also, boys are not allowed to talk to her unless it is school stuff” Ten smiled at Brielle teasing her. “Uncleeeee” she pouted. Ten chuckled, “Okay, let’s go” he went to his car first and Brielle followed him. Ten turned on the car engine and minutes went by they were already gone.
“Aww, I want another baby” Johnny pouted to his wife. She just rolled her eyes, “Hey, you still have Warren. He’s still young so stop all these nonsense and get a hold of yourself” she replied, while her brows furrowed. Johnny’s been clingy this morning. “Fine” he huffed. “Go check him on his room. I’ll go get ready for work” she pecked his lips and smiled. “I think I’m sick, don’t leave us” he trapped his wife on his arms while swaying side by side. “JOHNNY! I’m a doctor, if I will not be at the hospital in 1 hour I’ll get fired” she scolded him and tried to let go from Johnny’s embrace. “Hmm… no” he pecked her lips. “I’ll count to 3, if you won’t let go, date night will be cancelled this Friday” she sounded serious. “Dad. I want to play a video game” Warren was at the middle of the stairs starring at his parents. His mom is still trapped on his dad’s embrace. “Okay sweetie, dad will help you set up the console” his mom replied. Johnny let her go finally and invited his son to the couch. “Come here buddy. We’ll play till noon today cuz the girls won’t be here” he got excited.

“Hey baby, how’s Warren? Have you eaten your lunch?” Johnny’s wife asked, they were facetiming. “Shh. He’s asleep now. I cooked lunch and yes we ate already” he replied. “Good, what about Brielle?” she asked again. “She’s not yet here but I’ll check up on them, okay? Don’t worry” he smiled. “Okay. I’ll see you later” his wife ended the call. “She didn’t even bothered to say I love you” he pouted. His phone rang suddenly and he accepted the call and it’s from his wife. “I love you, babe” she beamed from the screen. “I thought you forgot” he pouted. “I love you too, baby” he smiled back and they ended the call. Johnny called Ten and checked up on them. The tour is still ongoing but it’s close to an end. “Hyung, we will buy ice cream after this. Is it okay?” Ten asked. “Yes, it’s okay. Have fun there” he replied.
An hour later...
“Dad, my friends want to go here to play. Is that okay with you?” Warren asked. “Of course. When will they go here? I’ll prepare some food for your friends” he replied. “Uhmm… maybe later??” Warren said, a little bit cautious with what he said. “What? Why didn’t you tell me this morning? I would’ve bought groceries this morning” Johnny replied in a firm tone. “Dad, are you angry?” Warren asked giving Johnny the puppy eyes. “A little bit. Okay, I’ll prepare the foods now. Good thing we still have some groceries here” Johnny replied making his way to the kitchen. “I’m sorry Dad. I forgot” he pouted. “I’ll go grocery shopping with you next time, if you like” he added. “Okay, I’ll accept your apology.” He smiled at his son and ruffled his hair. “Dad, my hair” Warren pouted again. “Help me prepare the foods” he said and Warren followed him in the kitchen.

“All set?” Johnny asked after placing the last food on the table. “I think this is perfect dad, thank you” Warren thanked his dad and beamed. “All for you kiddo. So, when will they arrive?” Johnny asked. “Any minute now, I guess.” He replied. “Okay, tell me if they’re here. I’m going to wash the dishes”. “Oh let me dad. I’ve caused you much trouble today. I’ll wash the dishes for you”. “Are you sure? Do you know how to wash the pots?” Johnny asked, he seemed not sure about the chore that his son would like to do. “Dad, I’m 8 years old and mom taught me how to do it, even noona” he replied. “Okay. I’ll just wait for your friends in the living room.”
The doorbell rang. Johnny immediately checked who were outside the door and he saw two boys. It’s Warren’s friends. He opened the door and the two boys were surprised. “Hi Mr. Suh… uhh… Is Warren home?” the tall kid asked, he is seemed intimidated by Johnny. “Yes, he’s washing the dishes at the moment, come in” he opened the door widely letting the kids get inside. “You can sit on the couch while waiting for him. I think he’s almost done” he smiled and sat with them. “By the way, my name is Johnny Suh. What about yours?”. “I’m Kim Jihoon. Nice to meet you Mr. Suh” the tall one replied. “And I’m Song Hyunwoo. Nice too meet you, Mr. Suh” the one with the eyeglasses replied. They both bowed while introducing themselves. “You two are so nice, I’m glad that my son has these type of friends. Very respectful” he smiled. “So how’s school?” he asked them trying to lighten the mood. “School’s really great Mr. Suh. Actually we’re going to a math contest next week and we’re here to review” Jihoon replied. “Wow, a math contest? Warren didn’t tell me about it”. Warren butted in, “I was about to tell you that dad but you’re busy these days” he sat beside him. “Ohh… that’s okay. I’m happy that you’re doing extracurricular activities now. So, how about we eat first and then you’ll review for the contest. I will help the three of you” he smiled. “That’s great, dad! That would be a big help for us. Thank you so much” Warren beamed a smile and they headed to the dining table. “We could also play some games after if you want” Johnny offered. “Is that okay Mr. Suh? We would love to play games after the review” the three children exclaimed. “Your dad is so cool” Hyunwoo muttered to Warren. “I know right” he whispered back.

“So it was Ten’s fault” the dads chuckled as Johnny finished his story. “Brielle hangouts with him a lot. Like more than me. I think it’s still kind of great that Brielle picked up his artistic side while hanging out with him” Johnny replied as he sips from his coffee cup.
“So bottom line hyung, you want another baby?” Jeno asked, still chuckling over Johnny’s story. “No, the bottom line is, I’m a cool dad” he smirked. “You know what, you are all cool dads but the coolest one is Kun” Ten butted in their conversation. “Here, I bought apple pies for the kids and to all of you” he handed them two boxes of pies. “Thank you Ten, you’re the best” Taeil showed a thumbs up to Ten. “I know right Taeil hyung” he winked. “I have to go up there again. Enjoy your pies” he walked away and went upstairs. “Now, where were we?” Doyoung asked, opening the box. “That Kun is the coolest dad ever” Taeyong replied. “Yes he is. I won’t argue with that” Johnny said. “So Kun hyung, how’s your family? I know you have a lot to tell us” Jaehyun took a bite of his pie. “Yes, yes. I have a lot to tell” Kun smiled at them and sips his coffee.
